A few tips on upgrading - in the old game, reducing max durability is a great way to get instant performance when creating new parts. Another thing, putting your cfd into one part makes huge dividends into the part you make afterwards so I’d always try to do that. We get I think 6 atr periods per season (if this game remains similar to 2023), so you can do that strategy for each part during the season.
Is it good to design a car part on intense approach without any cfd on it but minimum max durability and then after that car part is done, you can design another car part that you have done intense approach on but put all the cfd on the car part and then put minimum max durability. You can use normal or rushed approach on the latest upgrade. Example: Chassis 1 Start Chassis -> Chassis 2 Intense Approach Chassis without any cfd but with minimum max durability -> Chassis 3 Normal or Rushed Approach Chassis with all cfd and with minimum max durability
@@Matt212YTnp but idk if that strategy works It's just putting the minimum lifespan to the minimum and doing intense approach will make your car faster
Quick tips.... If similar to the previous years game.... Tire offset is absolutely huge, always aim to try & keep your tires in a better shape then your direct rivals, utilise DRS to stay in touch & lower the pace/avoid kerbs is brilliant so long as you can keep in DRS. You can tell when the opposition are close to pitting, because their pace will go mental, they go max everything & deploy, when that happens you are within two laps of their pit. At the end of the race, you went high defense, I never used that because it kills the pace by at least 1.5 seconds per lap, your driver will always go defensive regardless of if there is somebody behind them. Get some affiliate drivers sorted on your team, new feature for this year (young driver development pool basically) 💪🏻 If you know your going to be lapped, do one of two things, either under fuel your car by that amount & manage pace accordingly, or fuel normally, but when you do get lap, or get close to, basically max the fuel usgae because you have a lap to play with. Otherwise, looking forward to more uploads! 👍🏻
Quick tip about the sponsors, for your main sponsor you would want a sponsor that not only gives you a lot upfront, but you would also want one that gives you a lot from race day and engagement. However if you choose one with lots of money upfront, engagement and race day, your performance on the track relies a lot more on the performance of your drivers
“Pedro Matos and Carlo Cristofori, who aren’t real people…” For the record they are real Formula 2 engineers, the race engineers for Antonelli and Bearman respectively! It seems the game has brought in F2/F3 staff too which is cool Easter egg to see (I know I’m late, just got the game for myself and now watching other people’s Playthroughs :’) )
Oh, also, whenever you’re adjusting your car setups, make sure to do your first initial setup changes before the session and it’ll save you a few minutes of running which is crucial for driver acclimatization
No more updates on this journey? The sim looks amazing. This will be my first foray in to F1 manager. I love the sport but still know next to nothing about the design/setup options, so I'll likely fail miserably!
Great video. Shame about the time differential between 1st - 22nd at three seconds. I don’t think it’s really been more than two seconds all year. Hopefully this gets fixed in an update. Also the driver market logic. If Lawson isn’t available surely Hadjer would be the obvious choice for the AI controller RB team 🤷♂️
your cars are slower on lap 1 because for the first 2 laps the AI dumps their whole battery and pushes to the max no clue why just been like that for what looks like a 3rd year in a row
Why did you change your setups after practice started? wasted all that time when you could of done that before the session. lol. and run practice with low pace, putting wear on your parts otherwise
You are trying to make a last leap overtake and you put your driver on always defend then you wonder why he drifted away Always defend means the driver ain't going to follow the racing line meaning he will be slower It is very counter productive when you want to go fast
Standard? I haven't played on standard since they introduced hard difficulty. And, I'm somewhat of a novice in this game. Standard seems to easy even for a novice.

Really excited to see this series and see how it works for when I start mine in a few weeks!!

Would you suggest doing one or two upgrades per period, sharing resources at 50/50 ?

A Football Manager YT(WTS) got a Livery before you 😂😂
perfect way to finish the working week with a nice long video keep up the good work pal! ❤
I hope you.enjoyed mate!
I'm so happy you started playing this been waiting 🎉
I needed to get back into it!
So excited for this series keep them coming more frequently than f1 manager 23 🤣
I'll try to be better 😂
I always start with Rear Wing Angle
This is a very early access😂 Nice we get to see this though, thanks Matt & Frontier!
With a Renault engine, you want to under fuel at least two laps. It'll get you to the end. If there's a safety car, you'll have loads of burn.
When you saw Fittipaldi’s name, I bet you thought immediately back to Imola in F1 23
PTSD
There was the next lap feature on last years game for the pit stops
8:40 i bele8ve that is Work The Space. Mainly an FM youtber but plays F1 Manager at the start of the cycle :)
Correct!
You didn’t use ers on the first lap that’s why you lost places
In the last game you could also put the pit stop for the next lap
Make your parts as light as you csn! You don’t need durability!
I always under fuel at the start of the race, much better to gain positions at the start, can always conserve at the end or hope for a SC

Devs are noobs. Such a trash game.
Did you notice how the front wheels don't turn from the heli cam?
When are you going to be doing part 2? Looking forward to seeing more of the game!
It's already live on youtube.com/@matt212plays?si=LnbY8lRRajQ6hHAJ

Seems decent so far however, something about managing the deployment doesn't seem right.. the drivers should manage it themselves
by ben did u mean tia also im surprised u and cf havent got one yet yets pray u get one in 2025
Alonso had a puncture
Can i start at F3?
37:45 😂

What is your cockpit?

Early access!

Unless I'm mistaking, saves in this build wont carry over to the main game though i could be wrong
We shall see 😅
