Putting the black nylon under the lace is simply ingenious and makes such a difference in making the holes much more visible. Thanks for sharing this video.
Omgggg you’re the first video I clicked on.....🗣and don’t need to watch another. I wanted to fix my hairline/babyhair on my wig from the hair shedding. I was clueless as to how it would be done. Thought I would have to trash a great wig. I am extremely confident after watching this. This is the most simplest and easy tutorial to follow. I can now repair my wigs.....after all these years 😩 Thank you
Excellent demo. I appreciate the detail and closeup. I too tried the traditional hook and still can’t master it. This one is much easier. Thanks a million.
This is a faster method than the ventilating method for me since my time is limited. Before watching your video, I was ready to just sew the whole track in and just wear a head-band, LOL Thank you.
The best lace wig I ever owned was the one i made using the tiny latch hook needle and lace netting from the fabric store. I'm so glad to see a video on using the latch hook needle.
Thank you so much for showing this. I have been trying to learn and struggling so bad with the Asian needle. I finally feel like I'm starting to put it together now thank you so much
Hello I purchase the latch hook needle in area, taking a training class and it didn't seem to work. So I decided to go on RUclips for more information. I came across your video and watched and replayed, determine to get this and I did! Thank you for adding to my knowledge. You were a blessing in my journey of doing this as a profession.
THANKS FOR THIS TUTORIAL,I BOUGHT A KNIT PICKER FROM HOBBY LOBBY FOR AROUND $2.00 I LOVE THIS METHOD AND FOR ME AS A BEGINNER IT IS SOOO MUCH FASTER. THANK YOU!
Thanks for this! I found of these needles in my great grandmothers sewing kit and never knew what it was for. But she made dolls all the time! This makes so much sense!
smart. I've been working with those latch hooks doing micro links extensions,,lol awesome that you are ventilating with it. very smart. helps knock out the bulk of the unit, and then the hair line is fine when actual ventilating needed to make it more single hair effect. freaking brilliant
you are such a talented girl. you know so much about so many things. I appreciate all your tutorials on all subjects. thanks for sharing all your wisdom.
Wow, it's very much like rug latching! Only the latch-hook is MUCH SMALLER. I'm elated you showed a proper tutorial on how to make a lace front wig. Additionally, I'm glad I learned basic rug latching when I was about 11 yrs. old at summer camp...perhaps, I can use that old knowledge and combine it with your professional technique & advice and come up with a really nice lace front wig. THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time out your busy day to share your skills & knowledge. God Bless U!
+cursos belleza just wondering why you called her stupid for acknowledging RUclips as an excellent resource for leaning new things in life? Just asking #letstreateachotgerwithrespect#
cerah brown because she is supporting the possibility of business being taken away from people across the world if you catch my drift. That's why they must insult us and our knowledge to be great thinkers. RUclips is full of talent but the most threatening is black hair
I was just out at two beauty supply stores this morning and can you believe they did not know what I was talking about? lol I was dreading to have to order one online . this is terrific I'm going to fill in my balled spot on my wig right now. 😁😁😁 thank you for this Jesus your saving me so much damn money. I'm so excited right now!!! omggggggg!!
I am sooooo happy I found this, I'm trying to finish my crochet wig video and using the ventilating tool is so hard! My mom does it with no issues but I cannot get it!!! Thankyou for this!!!
I always come back to this video, it is where I got my inspiration to make videos because I just realized I wasn't alone using non conventional tools for wig making :D
Omg Thankyou so much for this. Other videos did not explain in detail or show how to latch the hair up close. Now I can finally make my own closures. Thanks a milli.. 🙌🏾
Odori Oliver I feel the same way! My bestie bought this HORRIBLE wig. I set the part with lace but that part was just too fake looking. now I can hide that mess!
I just purchased the latch needle--you are on the mark! It is MUCH easier. I also went to His and her's and bought the regular vent needle. Bought the head on eBay. Bought latch needle on eBay also. 20 something. Then I ordered some from China cheaper, but 3 different sizes. Latch hooks are hard to find, but so so much easier.
I absolutely love this method. I started with the venting needle and I too got frustrated. So I went to Michael's and bought a tool similar to a latch hook called a Knit Picker by a company called Loops & Threads. It was in the sewing area with the scissors and sewing needles. It was $2.75. Hope this helps. And @Andrene, I used Tulle Circles and folded them for more stability. They were$2.99 at Joann Fabrics. It works fine.
I'm glad you posted this. Great Vid. I planned on doing one too. I did this four years ago for an entire full lace wig and currently for repairing or reventing my wigs. I actually used the netting from the fabric store that was the color of my scalp(have to be careful) but it was the BEST lace wig I have ever owned and I have paid $300 or more for my human hair full lace wigs before. That fabric store netting (tulle I think it was) blended better as a scalp than any of them I have.
Excellent tutorial. Your method looks soooo much easier. I'm planning on making a natural looking afro kinky lace closure that I can use for both my curly and straight kinky u-part wigs coz all the ready made afro lace closures I've seen online have silky straight roots (since they are curled after they are put on the lace) .I had bought the curvy style ventilating needle sometime ago, in case I ever needed to repair my wig. I played around with it briefly but could not get it to work AT ALL! But after seeing your video, I'm so relieved to know that my idea is actually possible!! I've now ordered the latch hook on eBay using the link you provided. It was even cheaper than the curvy one I got from Ali Express! Thanks A LOT for sharing!!
Thank you! At last! I needed to see this and am so looking forwars to ordering this needle. Also the tutorial is slow and the close up is crystal clear. Great!
It's 3 minutes to 3 am est, & all I can say is the precision with which you explain this and the visual is #asmr alone lol. I apreciate this, bout to get that 84 inch kanekalon and let the summer pass me by lol. subscribed
Well explained your tutorial for beginners is so explanatory and 🤩 am just ventilating already though slow because it’s my first time 👍💃🏻thanks so much for this video.
I accidentally over plucked my frontal and I still have hair left over and instead of cutting it or getting a new one I’ve decided to use you tutorial :) will be trying this once I get the chance, thank you!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to show this amazing work. you're God sent to me! have been looking for someone that takes their time to teach. God bless and multiply your business!
:D thanks for accepting my video response. It is a good way to make it faster with the latch hook and it is ideal for bulkier spots like the back of the wig. For the front part it is still possible to use the latch hook as long as it is very thin and small, otherwise it might rip the lace. Keep up the good work
Faithe Bey i got mine today for .99 from bk beauty in concord nc. I almost choked when she said what she paid. I like her ventalating tools though. I'm going to look for them.
Jacquee22, thanks for sharing your process in this tutorial. I bought this latch-hook needle at SALLY'S yesterday for less than $5. There was no need to order online and wait for delivery. The latch-hook works just as demonstrated in this video.
This is a great video!!! I've watched it over & over. I ordered some ventilating tools from amazon. I think I'm in over my head. I've been wearing wigs for a while now. My mono wig has lost a lot of hair at the top & crown area. So it's really getting thin up there. I did order some lace also. So I placed my wig on a foam head. My plan was to add some more hair by ventilating. The problem is 1) the lace on this mono wig is so tiny, I can hardly see the holes! 2) the ventilating device didn't come with any instructions on how to put it together. I have 3 different size tips (hooks). I can't get the hook to fit well in the handle. Then when I try to screw it back together, the hook is not straight. 3) It's to unstable to use. 4) the smallest tip is still too big to go through the holes. The tool also came with something that's pliable. It looks like two pieces of thin wire crossing over at the tip where it makes a small opening. Then it's open through the middle & comes down to meet where they're fused together. I don't even know what this is. What am I doing wrong? Can you help me? Or anyone else that reads this. Thanks.
You are so amazing ! I recently cut all of my hair off and just got into making my own wigs ! I been looking for videos to make a lace closure with the latch hook , thank God that I front your page ! Also in order to use your hair that's on the weft have to remove the thread , its a long process it a guy who has a video on here that shows you the steps . I love your video thanks a bunch !
Thank you so much for this. I feel so much more relieved about resorting my shedding wig Though it seems like newly installed knots seem to be standing slightly upwards at the base -- but I could be seeing things. Regardless, it may not even be that noticeable while wearing the wig especially from far away or with a lot of hair on the wig.
May God bless you will take time but this is my goal thanks alot for teaching me. You let me know everything in a gentle Spirit and understanding mode step by step🙆
Thank you for showing this in such detail! You should make an affiliate account with amazon and link the needle & other products you use (pantyhose, lace, etc.) you use in the bio so you can get paid each time someone buys one of those after watching your video. Anyway, this is great!
I think this is a great tutorial i will be trying making wigs on a budget. Sewing the tracks all the way to the top then ventilating the hair over it closed so you cant see them. Probably will save me like $50.
Thank you for this I have all the tools just made it easier for me to follow your steps dear, never mind about them with gabby mouth because they're never pleased about what a lending hand does to them but mourners even to people they've never mate.
😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘 I'm so super excited, you are so great so amazing may the almighty God bless your heart and hands... Thanks so much for sharing this awesome video I just learned it in 2 second oh wow, thanks so much dear, once again God bless you
great tutorial! small question; the loop you make, you take in the middle of the hairs? so if you want your wig to be 22 inch you need 44 inch of hair? kisses!
That was an excellent tutorial. I watched a few using the ventilation tool and was a bit concerned. The hook latch method is simpler and you can make the frontal a bit denser.
So excited to start my project wit the latch hook ventilating, already purchased the Tulle fabric & hair just awaiting my latch hooks to come in the mail,I paid 2.50 on EBay for 8 different sizes from smallest to biggest latch hooks plus the s/h was free...I would love for u to watch my video my ideal is pretty ingenious considering I love wearing pony tails...
Thanks for this video!!! But, using that latch hook.... Idk. It's like the knots are noticeable.... Verses using an actual ventilating needle. The latch-hook actually makes it look wiggy... However I like the latch hook method and it does help with speed. Do you have any techniques on how to get the ventilating needle look while using the latch-hook???
Hi Jacquee22, I have question for you. i personally have never ventilated a wig. I have a couple of wigs that I've tried to modify at the bang area. I cut wefts very small & sewed them at the front. No matter how hard I tried it always looked a hot mess! So I'm going to have to cut all of them out & start over. So I ordered some lace & a ventilating set. My question is after I have cut all the little wefts out...how do I sew the lace in front? Do I cut the area where the wefts were or sew or glue the lace over that? How do I get the front of the hair prepared to ventilate?
hello. I am so glad I found this video. I am looking for human hair for the latch method... can you tell me where I can find the hair you used here... and by the way >>>Great video
Very clear the best I've ever seen, and without any bloody annoying music you normally get Thank you
Putting the black nylon under the lace is simply ingenious and makes such a difference in making the holes much more visible. Thanks for sharing this video.

I love you
I've been watching so many videos on how to ventilate and found yours very helpful! Thank you for explaining better and doing it at a great pace!

you both are great in wig making.. now I understand why some wigs are so expensive, because it exactly like doing God job..

I got my ventilating (latch hook) needle yesterday for $1.97 at walmart!
Faithe Bey i got mine today for .99 from bk beauty in concord nc. I almost choked when she said what she paid. I like her ventalating tools though. I'm going to look for them.
Have to check to see if my Wal-Mart has them
In need of it... plz how do I order for it?
Faithe Bey what size
What department you got the hook at Walmart
Jacquee22, thanks for sharing your process in this tutorial. I bought this latch-hook needle at SALLY'S yesterday for less than $5. There was no need to order online and wait for delivery. The latch-hook works just as demonstrated in this video.
This is the only tutorial I could understand.Thank you
Cool vid! I have a latch hook like that for micro looping which I don't do anymore....this looks like fun and a much safer use. Thank you!
This has helped me so much with making a yarn wig for a doll. Thank you.
Thanks for this video. I finally understood and I think this tool make it much more easier
Really you're are a good teacher so clear to understand 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏼.

Great tutorial and ventilation. I have been latch hooking rugs since the late 1970's. I am going to enjoy trying to create some units this winter :)
Thank you so much for this. I feel so much more relieved about resorting my shedding wig

Sis you did an awesome job teaching 😍
this video is a live saver....that is to say I can slay on my own closure.. wow!...nice one😘😘
I like this way better than the ventilation needle... This is the crochet needle... Way easier!!!! Cool!!
Tahirah W yeal...So funny how this method is so popular now compared to 6 years ago when this video was made.
Thanks for teaching me how to latch-hook!
Of course
This method works fine. You don't HAVE to use the regular hook. Her work looks great
Thanks to you all for your help and teaching.....coz I didn't know how to make them but am now learning
Thank you soooooooooooooo much for this video finally understand how to make it thank you for sharing your knowledge. God bless you

I think this is a great tutorial i will be trying making wigs on a budget. Sewing the tracks all the way to the top then ventilating the hair over it closed so you cant see them. Probably will save me like $50.
you are right. I felt the same way, but I am glad she was able to show up close.
How do I get those needles
Thank you for this I have all the tools just made it easier for me to follow your steps dear, never mind about them with gabby mouth because they're never pleased about what a lending hand does to them but mourners even to people they've never mate.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! That was a great tutorial.
Thank you soo much for this tutorial
You did a great job . !!
April Wilkins I don't
😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘 I'm so super excited, you are so great so amazing may the almighty God bless your heart and hands... Thanks so much for sharing this awesome video I just learned it in 2 second oh wow, thanks so much dear, once again God bless you
Thank you for sharing I cant wait to start doing my first toppers.
Do you have a video showing how to make a men’s lace base (just for the top of the head)? I’m so happy I found this video!
great tutorial! small question; the loop you make, you take in the middle of the hairs? so if you want your wig to be 22 inch you need 44 inch of hair?
kisses!
Thank u so much for sharing this technique!!! I was making my Wigs with hot glue gun or just sewing with needles ... thank u ! I'm gonna try this!! 💋✌
You are amazing and very talented! Thank you very much for the video!!🔥🔥🔥✨✨✨✨✨
I always wondered if that technique would work thankz
You are the best teacher
wow! I have been looking for this tutorial long ago, thank you very much. I really like it.
The dark pantyhose is genius, that you for sharing your idea.
this was the best creation ever
I just made a new latch hook video about single, double and double split knots so I put that also as a response to this video.
That was an excellent tutorial. I watched a few using the ventilation tool and was a bit concerned. The hook latch method is simpler and you can make the frontal a bit denser.
Xymani A. Bordeaux awe, thank you for watching.
Wonderful I found your vid. I will be trying this to make my own closure. Great job!!!
I really like your speaking voice.
Thanks that was very informative. However being in the uk I will check to see if it's possible to get those ventilating needles.
I had no interest in making a wig .... Now I am encouraged!
I I love your English
Nice voice
God job
I love it 🥰
I'm a new subscriber. I appreciate you for sharing. Thank you
I love how your tutorial looks can make new in 2019. thanks🖤💜💛💚💗🖤💇💆🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️👍👌💅💅💅💅.
Awsum video.very precise ty im thinking about trying to do this its very intriguing
Veeh Caldwell she clearly states that this is for beginners and it is easier and faster.
Loren Legalhair soooo what's your point???
Thanks for this video tutorial. In what order should be placed at the nodes to divide a natural hair line look?
Hi Jacquee22, I have question for you. i personally have never ventilated a wig. I have a couple of wigs that I've tried to modify at the bang area. I cut wefts very small & sewed them at the front. No matter how hard I tried it always looked a hot mess! So I'm going to have to cut all of them out & start over. So I ordered some lace & a ventilating set.
My question is after I have cut all the little wefts out...how do I sew the lace in front? Do I cut the area where the wefts were or sew or glue the lace over that? How do I get the front of the hair prepared to ventilate?
Thank you so much! This was very helpful, especially the tip with the braiding hair:-)
woman have such patience
hello. I am so glad I found this video. I am looking for human hair for the latch method... can you tell me where I can find the hair you used here... and by the way >>>Great video
thank you Good job this exactly how i was thinking to do it 💇 you rock 💪💋
