So many things I loved about this. Lobe lobe how you greased her scalp ppl don’t do that anymore where I’m from. And then to top it of your braiding her hair in it’s natural state which amazing so many stylists now days always want to apply heat to the hair which I hate

I know this video is old but I love it and I'm motivated because I have been trying to braid my mother's short hair and because it is short I easily begin to feel I can't do short but seeing your video I'm beginning to feel maybe I should keep trying and I would do better. Thanks too

When someone is so short you have to put that much tension on it hold, then tell the person not right now. That’s serious damage for alopecia in the future.

Very neat work!! All those who are talking about tension... if the client isn't complaining then it isn't an issue.
There are multiple times where you can literally see the client wincing in pain! Many people are embarrassed to complain to their stylist. I was one of those - I would pay for the service and then go home and re-style my hair.
@@agreen7832 that is horrible! Why put yourself through that??? But it still does not change the fact that, as long as the client is comfortable, it isn't an issue.
@@seguestt2 Oh, I don't do that anymore. If I'm not comfortable with something a stylist is doing, I speak up with a quickness.
Even if the client isn’t complaining there can still be an issue .

Might not be an issue...but yes you can see the tension. But it is neat and looks great... heck we all have probably experience tension and maybe aittle sore Ness after getting our hair braided. We dealt with it and kept it moving.

So many people come up to me with a mini fro and ask me can you grip this lol so people know what they get themselves onto before getting the style they know in a couple of days the braids will loosen up !

The client could have blowed dried her hair so it would have been a little easier on the scalp, I know because I have short hair like this and it helped, it looks good.

I don't know how to braid but wear them and what I hate most is the TENSION PAIN😭. I have 3c, curly but shortish (past my neck but barely on my shoulders) hair most braiders blow dry my hair before they start to straighten my hair because my curls make my braids look old FAST. She did a great job but I wonder if blow drying would have lessened the tension.🤔
