I sadly disagree... Don't get me wrong Dino is one of the best singers there is. But I always get the feeling his influences are too dominant. Concerning this new album I'd rather hear his former singer Rick Castellano... But I think that is a matter of taste....

Can we take a moment to appreciate Romeo's skills as a producer and arranger? Most of the time we are in awe of his skills as a guitar player and songwriter, but his mixing style is severely underrated.
@@Xsymph His solo tone has always been amazing, especially in TDWOT. His riff sound on that album was also fantastic. The guitar sound in The Odyssey proved how superb his technique is. Making such a scooped tone still sound clean and defined.
In the absence of a new album from Symphony X or even any news about it, this is a piece of fresh air. Really cool vocals (reminds me a lot to Allen's) catchy riffs and melodies. Eager to listen to more.

A welcome surprise this morning. Romeo sounds inspired here, even his riffs are starting to sound like mini solos. Dude is on a whole different level. Dino sounds great on vocals, that solo was sick and the brief orchestration at the end of this has me patiently waiting for more.
I hope Michael will do some more tutorial vid's when he has time because he's obviously the Prog Metal King of this Era along with Petrucci. I had the pleasure to meet Mike at a meet and greet and he is such a nice guy, giving every fan, not just me, the time to talk about things... What a legend hero for his fans!!! He is a legend guitarist of our time and ambassador of the craft, thank you Michael Romeo for being a super awesome guy!!!

@@brunodargor Simple, they always release a single every month. If a single is released at the beginning of the month, the next one will be released in the same way. Most of the time they always release 1 single three months prior to launch.
Man, I've been waiting for this album since War of the Worlds Pt.1 which is 4 years now. I do have to strongly point out that I absolutely adored Rick, and mind you, not from the start. I slowly but fimly grew up into his representation and embraced the fact this is arguably the best piece of music released in last few years. Now, learning that a fellow Croat made it into this one, and straight up wrote history by making it into the absolute elite of rock musicianship, and making a legend to his name made me feel so proud, man, and that's something I haven't felt in a very, very long time, my friend.
His voice sounds great. However, his performance in Magnus Karlsson's Free Fall - "Hold Your Fire" was just beyond awesome. It sounds like a perfect mix between Russell Allen and Jorn Lande. I hope he comes back for another album with Romeo though.
Man, I hope he tours with this. I totally want to see this live. I missed Symphony X the last time they played in MA and I have been kicking myself ever since. This is really killer stuff.

I honestly find the drum mix pretty underwhelming, at this point. Despite the similar sound, it lacks a bit of the "oompf" of Iconoclast imo.
