From Sweden here, I really want this guitar!
I bought a second hand Les Paul from you a couple of years ago and it is a pity that you aren't in the EU anymore...
So now I searched the whole Europe and found one in Italy and bought it!
Haven't got it delivered yet though!
The looper on an acoustic sold me!
And Yamaha has a quite good track record to produce good guitars...
    I hope I wont regret it!!😉

Having watched basically ALL the reviews of the TAG3, I can rightly say that yours is one of the few that is mic‘d in such a way that I can better grasp the „naked“ sound of the guitar, and not only that, but you also play in styles that are more akin to mine than many „noodlers“ out there who seem more intent on showing their licks than giving the viewer a realistic feel for the instrument‘s sound. I ordered my TAG3 (in Sunburst) a few days ago, and will receive it around the end of October. It will likely be a very worthy successor to my favorite sofa AND gigging guitar, which is a Yamaha FG-TA Transacoustic. :-) Excellent playability and stellar tonal balance, making it suitable for a wide variety of genres and styles. I actually prefer the FG-TA for gigging over my much more expensive (and all-solid) guitars such as a vintage Martin D-35. The Yamaha gets the job done beautifully. The new TAG3 is bound to open up new enjoyment for me and my audiences (solo covers with vocals, guitar and harmonica).

This is an awesome guitar and I really know this, since I’ve the previous LL-TA with all-solid rosewood back and sides: THAT guitar already sounds great just acoustically and it plays like butter. THIS tag3c has even more tone separation, that will really count, when you’re busking: especially with a loop you need that clarity to make sure that it actually reaches the audience in a noisy environment.. a must have for me, and GREAT Quality GerBard

And if you’re thinking about a LAG Hyvibe: I played the most expensive one, the Hyvibe 30; it doesn’t resonate with your body and just feels like a stiff piece of wood, it’s NOT allsolid. So don’t compare it to this Yamaha!

Good on you to help the community out by adding this comment. A couple years back, I nearly bought a HyVibe guitar, but gathered from the many reviews that the tone wouldn‘t satisfy me. Ended up getting a Yamaha FG-TA (Transacoustic), instead, and despite it only having non-solid back and sides, it sounds absolutely fantastic (albeit less loud and lush than the all-solid variants). It plays beautifully, too, and has become my main gigging guitar. Now I‘ve ordered the TAG3, and I‘m sure it‘ll be a worthy successor to my FG-TA, which I will still never sell.

The only thing I don’t love is how the looper goes immediately into overdub mode instead of playback after the first cycle. Looks like that is tweakable in the app though

It’s like they trapped Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins inside that acoustic! Sounds so dreamy and lush. I could see it being great for some acoustic textures in a shoegaze or dream pop mix

Great demo Thanks. I will purchase if Yamaha will make one for left hand players. Don’t like my chances though. Yamaha neglects lefties in top of range guitars

On most of these videos, it sounds like the loop playback loses some bass. Does it sound like that in person as well?

I believe it’s more that they have the looper turned down a bit compared to the raw acoustic sound of the guitar. If they turn it up to match the levels better, I think the low end content should be there

Would love a direct comparison between the yamaha and the Hyvibe system
