I timed my coals from the 2 minute mark of the video till they were done on a coil burner. They finished in okay time (right at the end of the video) but it wasn't as fast as the blazn burner. To that I feel that the coil burner doesn't distribute the heat as evenly. That contraption will heat the bottom evenly AND it looks like the sidewalls will heat better too since the heat would bounce off the side of the tray, giving more heat containment to the coals. Regardless, it's interesting to say the least and I intend to get that on my next large order (along with one of those new starbuzz stems and a Maximus hose too). I want to see a shipment unloading/unboxing of those new stems!!!!

I just bought one of these, and it was worth every penny! It takes a little more than four minutes to light coco nara coals, like fiveish give or take.

me and my friend just split the price on one of these a few weeks ago, definitely worth the money, but wish it could hold more than 6 coals in the tray for multi-hookah sessions

I'll stick with my $10 coil burner I bought at walgreens than buying this complicated, overpriced shit. Are people that desperate to start their hookah that they can't wait 1-2 more minutes? I start my coals while preparing the hookah. Btw, that "ugly mess" on coil burners can be cleaned away easily by blowing on them.
you probably have to turn it off to flip the coals so you don't look down at the light.

I personally don't fully light my coals. Any reason why you should?
I know on the auto-lights that you need to fully light them to burn off residual starter, but I really don't know if there's anything on a coconut coal that would be harmful aside from maybe some dust?
Carbon Monoxide Poisoning is more prevalent with uncooked coals. It's much better to make sure they are fully cooked.
