A real classic, thanks Kris. A totally relaxing balance between line action and the surroundings with a generous helping of autumn colours. I particularly enjoyed the various two-tank combinations, the peaceful study of Arley and 'Taw Valley'. I don't usually have a lot to say about diesels but 'Greyhound' was smoking very well and your final sequence of 'Western Champion' was exceptional. Kind regards, Bob
I have a HC-X1500. Cine-D is perfect for these overcast English skies and open country, giving these scenes a delightful almost pastel quality. But there's still enough heightened colour to lend drama to the passing locomotives captured with great panning and zoom geometry and camera placement. I always try to find time to watch this material, even though I've not really been into trains since before my teens. And that was a LONG time ago ! But your enthusiasm really shows through.
Even though im not too much of a diesel fan i think your shots of them are stunning to watch :) its because of this and many more railways having them why diesel preservation is just as important as steam
Really enjoy your lineside videos, they’re of the highest quality. Rather off-piste question - are you the Slip Digby who used to be involved with the Alt-Rail group on UKTS forums years ago?
This is surprisingly therapeutic. Awesome video!
I really like the effort gone into naming all the destinations. Great shots too.
Nice train, wonderful landscape, very interesting video! Best Regards from Germany, Railherbie
Your technique is so professional. I could almost watch your videos even if they didn't have trains in!

Would be so nice if they had one station sign at Arley that said Hatley.
