Has there ever been a happier looking guy than Emppu in this song? Floor was reportedly not feeling well this evening, but you can only tell by the raspiness of her speaking voice. That crowd really charged her up ... "she was dancing!"
Troy is playing the Uilleann (ill-en) Pipes. They are the Irish version of the bagpipes that uses a bellows ,squeezed with the elbow, to inflate the bag. Uilleann is the Gaelic word for 'elbow' . The wire on it, is just the microphone for the instrument. That gives it the Celtic feel , along with Marko playing the Framus guitar neck of the 'Beast'. ( The other neck is a Warwick bass) Yes, it has an uplifting and fun feel to it. Especially with this crowd and Floor dancing all over the stage. The song is actual about emotion. It is a longing to feel emotions the way one did when they were young. As one gets older, the intensity of emotions can wane or disappear altogether.
There's another song later on the Imaginaerum album, called Turn Loose the Mermaids. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any live performances on RUclips, but it really feels like it's the resolution to this song, talking about the recovery of those lost emotions. I feel like I have experienced both stages in my life now, and would love to hear Floor perform it!

Lovely reaction guys! Dancing Floor and the amazing Argentinian crowd. This song is on the setlist for their current tour and when they played at the show I was at, the whole crowd went nuts and started dancing and jumping. Now that I have seen Nightwish live my next two bucket list items is to see them live in Buenos Aries so I can experience the amazing crowd and to see them live, outdoors in Finland.

I wholeheartedly second the Ayreon recommendation and the song. As it is with Nightwish, the same applies to Ayreon: the live experience is just so good & adds so much. Troy was playing the Ullean Pipes (Irish bagpipes) and was also singing with Marko and Floor (only on some of the refrains). He is the musical chameleon of the band doing supporting vocals and playing basically any instrument known to humankind when required for a song.
1) The football chant replaces the name of a football team with "Nightwish". 2) Floor's "come here" gesture at the beginning is her encouraging the crowd to cheer louder. First one side of the audience, then the other. It is common at concerts for bands to do this to try and build excitement. Only Floor Jansen can do it with a smile and one finger :).

I'm glad you found a Nightwish song to free yourselves from the perhaps heavy feeling of the previous one. Nightwish plays dance music, and with Uilleann pipes! The pipes and the guitar blended extremely well (not trivial, a reeded vs. a string instrument). In total the song was carefully thought out, end executed with such gusto.
Wonderful reaction to Nightwish again!!! A couple of other "Uplifting" and "Happy" Nightwish songs are "Elan" which the Official music video is a beautiful video (the white owl is my favorite lol). Also the song "Alpenglow" and "My Walden" both Live at Wembley (or Tampere). I discovered them in 2020 during covid, this band is absolutely amazing, and you will never find a song like another. They are all different stories and journeys but all are great. They never get boring, whatever mood you are in, Nightwish has a song for that feeling. Great reaction guys. Tuomas on keyboards is the mastermind, he is the founder of the band and all songs they play, music and lyrics start in his head. He is called the Metal Mozart.
Troy adds a lot to the sound of Nightwish. He has a melodic voice and blends well with Floor and Marko. What is better than 2 part harmony? 3 part harmony. An extremely dark, harrowing and sad musical masterpiece, performed to perfection by this extremely special band. Ok, you have a right to give your propositions and they will decide when do this reaction but IMHO it's definitely to soon for this song (The Poet and The Pendulum). Let them discover Nightwish music library a little bit more. It's so many great songs (plus side projects pieces). I think that TPATP and TGSOE are the greatest Nightwish's song and one from the greatest music compositions ever. I'm glad you found a Nightwish song to free yourselves from the perhaps heavy feeling of the previous one. Nightwish plays dance music, and with Uilleann pipes! The pipes and the guitar blended extremely well (not trivial, a reeded vs. a string instrument). In total the song was carefully thought out, end executed with such gusto.
Wonderful reaction to Nightwish again!!! A couple of other "Uplifting" and "Happy" Nightwish songs are "Elan" which the Official music video is a beautiful video (the white owl is my favorite lol). Also the song "Alpenglow" and "My Walden" both Live at Wembley (or Tampere). If you want just a stunning beautiful acoustic song w/ just Troy playing acoustic guitar and Floor singing do "How's the Heart" acoustic live at Planet Rock (HAVE TISSUES!!!) 🥲🤧

I discovered them in 2020 during covid, this band is absolutely amazing, and you will never find a song like another. They are all different stories and journeys but all are great. They never get boring, whatever mood you are in, Nightwish has a song for that feeling. Great reaction guys. Great reaction , Troy was playing the Irish Uilleann bag pipes they are driven by a bellows under the right elbow that gets pumped up while playing unlike scottish are blown into and have a higher tone . they have numerous Keltic sounding songs

The ultimate contrast to this very uplifting, fun song is The Poet and the Pendulum (Live at Wembley). An extremely dark, harrowing and sad musical masterpiece, performed to perfection by this extremely special band. I can't wait until you get to this one (prior research advised) and also The Greatest Show on Earth.
Edit: I'm not suggesting you should react to Poet and the Pendulum next. Rather, I'd suggest you react to other songs before you arrive at Poet (and Greatest Show on Earth).

Ok, you have a right to give your propositions and they will decide when do this reaction but IMHO it's definitely to soon for this song (The Poet and The Pendulum). Let them discover Nightwish music library a little bit more. It's so many great songs (plus side projects pieces). I think that TPATP and TGSOE are the greatest Nightwish's song and one from the greatest music compositions ever. It would be not a good idea to start this journey from the last stage (and again IMHO). All the best from Poland.

Please don't do The Poet and the Pendulum yet, it is a very sad and emotional song. You might want to get to know Nightwish a bit more before you do it, but of course the decision is up to you.

Even though NW is classified as a Symphonic Metal Band...they really aren't bound by any "borders" of music classification...they create what they want and we appreciate the variations...
