This is quite impressive. They look so real that, even after seeing how those are made, a part of my brain still refuses to admit that those are miniature baskets made of cardboard and paper. It is more comfortable for me to think there is a giant hand holding real normal size baskets in that video.
I absolutely LOVE your comment!! I can relate because in another video of mine. I made some stoneware and every time I see them I think they are real and I made them!!😂😂😂 Thank you so much for making me laugh today.
Thank you for not cutting your circles in the middle of the paper, thus wasting paper. It always annoys me when people do that. The baskets look real, especially with the natural look of the paint.
Been dying to find a good basket tutorial to try to make miniature longaberger baskets…. And here this appears!!! Thank you for such a clear and beautiful tutorial!
Like you I have been searching for a good basket tutorial. I want to make a log basket for my Book Nook. A fireplace without a log basket? Nope, I've got to have a log basket. This is great. Now you have made me curious and I'm off to look up a longaberger basket. I've just looked. I have seen them before but was unaware of their name. I think a miniature basket will do, as they are rather expensive in this neck of the woods.
@@beccabbea2511 longaberger has been kinda like a collectable basket company for a long time! They’re less made for chores and the such, like being used in yard or farm work for example, and more so to spruce up the house!
@@Lauras-tinyview my mom used to be a consultant for the company when I was younger, so both her house and mine are full of them! We love them dearly and it’s hard to find baskets that have the same aesthetic they do!
Wow... What a great art of making miniature baskets!! FYI: I don't care for any music except closed or open captions! Thanks for the information under description. You're amazing!
I’ve been making these baskets for years. They’re very addictive, lol. I learned it from a blog tutorial called “1 inch Minis By Kris”. Her pattern is different than yours but same basic idea.
They are very addictive! We used to make them in Elementary school for Easter and Valentine’s Day out of construction paper. I will have to check out “ 1 inch Minis By Kris”.
Hi, dear, thank you for sharing this petite, though carefully done work, amazing for my gnomes, I brought from Denmark! I found one real tiny basket for the knitting of Sophia ( made with tooth picks), a fishing rod for Albert and something they change… and teach their children… I’ve to find my cutter… it’s looks so REAL. I always wanted to make them stoneware and saw in the comments you’ve a video about making that! Can’t wait… Greetings from Germany, Monika❣
Welcome! 🤗 I’m so glad you found my basket tutorial. Sounds perfect for your mini world. I love the idea of a fishing pole!! You will love the stoneware video. I made them and I think they are real everytime I look at them. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🥰
Wonderful! I like the idea of making a paper bead for the handle! I’ve made these before and drilled through a toothpick for the handle but rolling card stock would be faster! Great tips! I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos.
I'm gonna try to do an actual basket with this method, it's a great way to reuse cardboard. Just for decorating , don't know how much weight it will hold. Also, this method could help to repurpose some old/broken baskets too. Thanks for the video 😊
My mom had both a plastic sewing box ( kind of like a short fat and tall tackle box shape) but she also had a a small wicker snake like basket, which I still have. It didn’t have a handle, but it used to have a lid, with a knob like handle, like a lid for a cooking pot.
Thanks for sharing! My mom and Grandmother both had the plastic type. But I would see others with the basket type. I always wanted one. Strangely I still havent purchased one for myself lol. I hope to make a mini one at some point.
Thank you so much for your wonderful compliments. I appreciate it very much. Just a heads up the audio goes out on that video but the tutorial still makes sense. I love your tiny baskets. They inspired me to give it a try! The visual instructions are very clear. I also found you verbal instructions helpful and wish you would have continued with them through the whole video. I appreciate the written dimensions. This is my first time trying to make a miniature item. The basket part turned out beautifully, now I am ready to start the handle and am wondering what gauge wire works best and how long to cut it.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video and that it inspired you to make one. My video started out with verbal instruction throughout. Sadly I had to take out some music that I thought was ok to use. Thankfully you can still understand the tutorial without it. The wire is 18 gauge and I think I cut it 1 1/2 in long. Maybe 1 3/4.
Whew! I thought this was going to be above my pay grade. Thank you for making this easy enough for someone like me. I’ve saved it and plan on using this next year. Have an awesome day and spread sunshine all along the way, smile.
