The old saying goes "There is nothing certain in life except death and taxes". I grew up in California and Smokey was big at the National Parks. I even remember learning and singing the Smokey the Bear song. I like your Native American robbery story. In California we had mostly Spanish names but there were some Native American names but only in the rural areas. CPA is actually Certified Public Accountant. I am sure that the dinosaurs did not sound like Godzilla also. Just an FYI, Benjamin Frankllin wanted the turkey to be our national bird. I am glad that he lost out. Many people celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day rather than Columbus Day. I bought my really nice stuffed chair at Goodwilli for $25 and I have had it for 15 years so that might be a cheaper alternative. Edward R Murrow was a broadcaster and very well known during WW 2. If you ever saw the movie Funny Girl with Barbra Streisand that was the story of Fanny Brice. Buster Keaton was a silent era comedian. Poisonous is something that you inhale or drink whereas venomous is something that is injected. I just got a letter that was torn apart and in a small plastic bag that said "Sorry we damaged your letter". I took out the contents and put the damaged envelope back in the plastic bag and it is my first (and probably my only) piece of post office oopsie collection. Lol! Early Postage Due stamps drive me up the wall with their different but similar colors. Postal Cards have a preprinted stamp. Post cards you need to put a stamp on them. I cannot tell a lie was actually George Washington. The Liberty stamps with the 5 in a circle I do not believe is a revalue. I do not know what it is but I have never seen a revalue like that. Maybe postage due? The one next to it is not a 5 but an "S" in US. The revalue amount is not on the stamp. The Revenue stamps are really neat and so is the Civil War cover. I absolutely love the Postal Currency. I have never seen that before. The Bear Flag Revolt was when some Californians revolted and declared independence from Mexico. The name comes from the fact that their flag said California Republic and had a bear on it. This did not last long as the US came in. I love the Eaton labels. I collect Cinderellas. The Boy Scouts changed their name because they now accept girls. This does not bother me as I accept all people for who they are.
I am glad you are OK! "Press the stamps in a ball, kick it around and set it on fire!" 😆🤣That is taking what you want to do a bit too far. 😄Postal currency ... a first for me. Thanks for sharing the album, Kyle. 🙂PS: Did you see that Ted Talks Stamps named your channel in a list of channels he recommended?
