He probably still washed his hair. I have a similar hair texture as him (Type 4) and it does not take much for it to mat up. I've left 2 strand twists in for a month once and my parts were already starting to lock and look like free forms. People assume unkempt looking hair is unhealthy. Sometimes it just means little manipulation but not necessarily that we aren't washing and adding oils to the scalp.
@@t_sizzler_2032 cleanliness doesn’t equal scalp health. I think you’re misunderstanding what I’m getting at. You can very well have a clean and cared for scalp with matted hair like this, that doesn’t mean it will be healthy. Scalp health depends on more than cleansing it

Lighten up! locs and maintenance is something that as you said has taken me years to become proficient in and perfect my craft…class after class training conventions to learn more…I can appreciate someone who takes their time because I pride myself in my work!! This particular person needs hours of work done! The truth is that it’s very expensive to perform miracles on heads such as these! So trust me I definitely know that the time spent is expensive!!!! Doesn’t always mean it’s always affordable that’s the truth even if you don’t like it! I know my prices are high and some clients have been lost because of how expensive it can be especially to repair locs! But there is always that one guy that just is uptight so I get it:)

@@Ken120Hz Im sure you dont know me personally so you dont know who I have to service but It truly depends on your clientele! Who you service makes the difference. But thats something you establish when you start your career. I know what my clients can afford therfore my target audience has no issue with my prices! You wouldnt be an imbecile if you are charging exactly what the service is worth! Im not gonna sell myself short to accommodate the ones that cant afford what I charge why when I can service ppl who can afford to pay my price and hapily pay it and tip as well. I dont haggle with anyone the stress of ppl who want discounts and dont want to pay I am just not for everyone and thats fine im always happy to guide ppl to someone who will accommodate their price range! I tell you this i dont have to stand on my feet for hours on end for what I provide! I wont do It if you choose too thats your business! I will offer more that just a hair style but an experience ppl want and need:)

Inside still dirty. If he wants clean hair it’s better to cut it off and start again. The only truly clean locks I’ve seen were on Rastas who kept there hair covered all the time, wash it with aloe, and don’t apply product. Anything else will allow build up on the inside.
