Hi Melissa, I am right now working on this cabinet! I have it all glued together and stained. I just have to distress it and glue on the trim. I decided to stain the trim separately and glue it on after. I just thought that would work better for me. I am having so much fun with this!!😊😄 I already have lots of minis picked out that I have on hand to fill it, but I’m definitely going to recreate some of yours as well! I’m going to display it on my living room fireplace mantel. My husband really likes it as well. I want to let you and your subscribers know that if you can’t find 12 crates in your local dollar tree, you can order them online in sets of four! And I was able to have them shipped directly to my dollar tree! It cost a little extra, I think 15 cents extra per crate. So worth it, rather than driving all over the place looking for them!! This is so high end looking, I can’t believe it’s under $15. to make the cabinet. And so much fun filling it!!
Really looks like the roosting shed Grandma had only smaller.. Daddy and one of his brothers made it for her from scraps of the wood Grandpa and his sons used to build their home. Thanks for the memory. Absolutely ingenious!
Good morning Melissa I have watch this over and over again I love the little shelving unit I am going to try and make it I’m waiting for my shed to be built because I love to do DIY‘s as well kind of over took me and became bigger than me and over took my house my husband said enough is enough so now I’ve got a Shed being built and I’m going to put everything out there and get busy on my DIY . I am recovering from a illness that I almost did not make it through and I found that I am able to have a little bit of creativity in me that helps me relax and ease my mind. And one of your videos is how I got started thank you so much. I love and respect what you do you are awesome

I think welI know this is one of my ALL time favorite dollar tree diys. You killed it with this one!!! Not only the creativity of putting them together as a shelf but all the "knick knacks" to go on it !!! I can't wait to make them little calendar diys out of blocks you could do those with any calendar flowers coastal... I have some coastal calendars and am going to make some and maybe embellish with shells or something!!!!! Thanks for this awesome video!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish they had two thumbs up for this one. The windmill i think came from dollar general. I got one and several others that would fit. This is one of my all time favorites. Now I'll need about a million little crates so I can do it too. Just lovelovelove it!

The “crate shelf” is gorgeous! There are so many things my DT doesn’t get! I did find, 3 of the crates w/the slats on the sides & I think they may be, a bit smaller, not sure? You must buy them by the case, & I don’t blame you! You can always make something beautiful w/remaining ones, or ad on to existing shelf? The metal labels (everything you do)makes it look so much more high end!God blessed you w/so much creativity & I love that you are humble about it!
