  • Eighty five percent of Australians live within fifty kilometres of the beach; just like Sam and Jim Woods. Their piece of the coast is a short walk from the surf, on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. They want a garden to complement their modern beach house, but salt laden winds and poor soils are just the beginning of their challenges.Jim wants a slice of the beach in his backyard while Sam’s dream is to recreate childhood memories of a rolling lawn surrounded by lush, green garden beds. Aesthetically opposite gardens. Can Sam and Jim walk the tightrope between ruggedly natural or verdant greenery and successfully transform their bare, flat building site into a magnificent garden or will the compromises they both make result in an expensive mish mash?

I hate when designers make arbitrary designs. Like that path behind the pool? No one's ever going to walk there or use that area. And the fire pit area is not cozy enough, it abuts the edge of the property. Just seems really arbitrary and thrown together.

Nice haircut Fiona 🙄 Tells me everything about her, none of it good. Anyone who cuts their fringe like that is a psychopath.
