I think the Beelzebumon Gallant/Dukemon rivalry is pretty much official given how frequently they're paired together with merch, though it seems the intention is to parallel Blast mode with Crimson mode.
Personally I always saw the Royal Knights as the proper rivals to the Demon Lords. But making a group of celestial Digimon aroubd the Seven Holy Virtues does sound pretty cool.
It's interesting that we've never gotten a proper opposite to them, given that that the themes are already there. I like almost all the choices, especially those with the story tie ins, though I would personally do the Ophanimon instead of Venusmon, to keep the Olympos 12 separate.

I really like how beelzemons opposite is gallantmon, they feel like 2 opposites on the alignment chart, lawful good and chaotic evil, also the only one I'd personally change is I think marineangemon would be a good opposite for leviamon fitting the ocean theme
I like to think the opposite group to the Seven Demon Lords could be the Holy Digimon from the backstory of Adventure 2020. It kinda feels like that’s what they were kind of going for, essentially adding them as a holy group of good to counter things like the Demon Lords.
As someone who is sorta a christian (though more spiritual than religious), I really love how in-depth you go into with the mythology and stuff, like you do for all of your videos. Keep up the great work! 😁👍
I love your non-7 holy digimon picks (and cherubimon), they fit really well! Although I feel like Ophanimon and Lilithmon have to be opposites to each other unfortunately - Lilithmon is said have been "originally the same kind of digimon as ophanimon", much like Demon and Seraphimon's connection. So personally, my picks would be: Lilithmon | Ophanimon (Motherliness is often associated with chastity, ironic considering how you become a mother in most circumstances, so I feel like it fits?) Beelzemon | ClavisAngemon (Rasielmon could work as being themed around knowledge, but I think ClavisAngemon embodies temperance well, having to restrain the massive amount of power he has) Barbamon | Cherubimon Belphemon | SlashAngemon (I feel like SlashAngemon's sense of justice could be considered diligence? I feel like he fits slightly better than ClavisAngemon) Demon | Seraphimon Lucemon | Rasielmon (I think Rasielmon works well as an inverse to Lucemon as well, although it doesn't have the two halves you mentioned, but I think it works well)
What would you think of using LovelyAngelmon as its another evoultion of the angelwoman line, and it being based on magical girls shows a sense of parity and with how LovelyAngelmon is a close combat fighter it makes her the opposite of Lilithmon more magical fighter style
@@4wheal If you're asking me, I think it's a pretty cool pick outside of the 7 holy digimon for sure. The only downside would be that she doesn't entirely embody "chastity" but you could argue with her corset-like armor and general feminine appearance while distinctly not having any titty showing, alongside the fact that she seems to embody "girlishness" and generally be "untainted by things like lust" in a way (air quotes not direct quotes), that she still fits. She honestly fits better than ophanimon in my opinion, even if that might just be because she gives me very "innocent" vibes, whereas ophanimon is more mature. In general finding a direct contradiction to "lust" in digimon is pretty difficult because even Digimon itself dances around the existence of sexual attraction and sexual deviance despite, yknow, making a whole digimon based off of it lol
Definitely Ophanimon somewhere in here if we have Seraphimon and Cherubimon, there's a stronger case for her being Temperance which also allows her to break from mirroring Lilithmon. I love the theme here of each Virtuous Digimon having an alternate that either is their opposing Demon Lord or is caused by their opposing sin.

I’m not sure if this applies to all branches of Christianity, but I was taught a bit of a different distinction with lust and gluttony. This differs a little bit from a lot of general public’s idea of these sins. Lust is the idea of craving and hoarding the immaterial. Yes, this can include sexuality (ex wanting to cheat, being a general creep, etc), but this also takes other forms. Like someone can crave knowledge (ex. gate keeping, overworking) or someone can crave pain and destruction. Think how FMA represents Lust through bloodlust. In that sense, Sakuyamon Miko Mode is perfect. She’s a guide who works to help others and serve the greater good. I find it ironic that the definition of lust is craving things you can’t touch. It’s basically greed, but instead of materials, it’s for ideas. The standard idea of lust would technically fall under gluttony. It’s the idea of overconsumption, especially to dangerous levels. That can be overeating, unhealthy sex, or reckless drug use. Again, not sure if these definitions fall under all of the branches of Christianity. I know that some have an eighth sin in despair, but I’m not well-versed in that. This is just a long way to say I think your pick for Lillithmon was perfect. (The others were great too, but I don’t have a thesis for them 😅)
Think you could do a video of there being other groups similar to the Four Dragons? Like 1 Sovereign +3 others groups with one evil member? For the four birds my guess would be Zhugiamon, Hououmon, Valdurmon, and Ornismon.

Another good connection between Daemon and Seraphimon is the Preist mode of MagnaAngemon and the red robed Daemon and usually MagnaAngemon digivolves to Seraphimon

You know, with how things are going, I do think new Angelic Digimon are needed. Since it would let the artists be more creative while keeping the design philosophy of what was established. Plus a Digimon based on the Goddess of Law Themis would make sense to exist. And despite how Themis is a Greek Goddess, she's depicted with her eyes covered. Just like how the Angelic Digimon we see have their eyes covered.

Hope we do see a direct group made to oppose them one day. You choices are great but a new digimon specifically made to be their opposite would be amazing.
Considering the Demon Lords are antagonistic & pick fights in multiple digital worlds, they could easily have multiple rivals each. Lilithmon is (or is at least believed to be) a fallen Ophanimon, as mentioned in the former's reference entry. Venusmon doesn't work as Chastity, but is a strong counterpart otherwise. Shivamon could be a good rival to Belphemon, as both have incredible destructive powers but very opposite natures. Really, Shivamon could work for all of them to different degrees, but Sloth seems its true enemy. Seraphimon vs. Demon/Creepymon is perfect, no notes. Leviamon's the toughest because he hasn't shown up as much & his few roles have been minor (unless I missed something big). MarineAngemon would be my default pick, but a) not really an angel, and b) Scyllamon's more MarineAngemon's counterpart. Maybe KingWhamon? Beelzemon has Beelstarmon, and possibly the Three Musketeers as a whole. Gallantmon in general is a great pick from the Royal Knights.
Slashangmon over Gallentmon, the sword vs guns to good to pass up. And while I like Susanomon vs Lucifermon, Mastamon's matching wings work so Susanomon as the fusion of all 7 to fight the seven sins fused really works. Bit sad you couldn't work in Imperialdramon fighter as it is still one of my all time favs from Digimon. Sorry about my spelling.

Maybe a lore vid on analyzing the Digimentals that compares and contrasts them with virtues, like love and hope from the three theological virtues, asking if Purity would align with Chastity, and stretches, such as "is Friendship the Humility Digimental?"
I’m a big fan of digimon but I’m an even bigger fan of Demonology. The demon lords have been some of my favorite digimon of all time because each of them, aside from lilithmon, are tied directly to one of the seven princes of Hell in demonology. Maybe if you ever wanted to revisit this topic you could do a custom art video giving us digimon inspired by the archangels. While there is debate about who are canon members some consistent ones are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel but there are enough from various groups to make seven.
If we're pairing the sacred digimon from adventure 2020 like in the ending, I would put Ophanimon next to Lilithmon and then Valdurmon next to Leviamon
Good choices. But I swear I've seen somewhere, maybe a fan thing than an official rival group. The Seven Heavenly Warriors were: Seraphimon, who represented Patience and rivaled the Wrath Sin Daemon Ophanimon, representing Chastity and went up against Lilithmon the Lust Demon. Cherubimon (Virtue) represents Humility and went beast vs beast against Leviamon the sin of Envy. SlashAngemon went up against Beelzemon and his sin of Gluttony, representing the virtue of Temperance. ClavisAngemon, representing the Virtue of Charity, would battle the Greed Demon Lord Barbamon. Anubismon would represent the Virtue of Diligence and is able to go up against the Sloth Belphemon Rage Mode. And lastly there was Mastemon, representing the Virtue of Humility. This would make her rival Lucemon Falldown Mode. And I think the extra bit of making them opposites who both control both Light and Darkness is a neat touch.
On the Lust one, in other countries the crest of Sincerity is known as the crest of purity. So that one could be its opposite On the sloth one, i would imagine the crest of reliability could be it's opposite. Someone who is reliable in their work would be diligent On the wrath one, You need patience to have hope. That would be it's opposite On the pride one, asking for help from friends takes humility. Friendship would be its opposite crest
A kind always wondered if there was potential in pitting a rookie lucemon against Falldown Mode but as far as I understand the rookie-level can only so far surpass ultimates/perfects where as FM surpasses megas so there's definitely a Power Imbalance there. Maybe I just like the idea of two different Lucemons fighting for different ideals (or some kind of attempt at sibling rivalry IDK lol)
Now I'm just curious what a DNA Evolution between both Digimon would look like. Since the fusionnwould embody both concepts at the same time. Then the different modes could represent one side of their concept taking over.
Personally, I prefer Ophanimon against Lilithmon, but a large part of that has to do with a childhood obsession with the juxtaposition of Angewoman and Ladydevimon. Idk it’s just one of those things that never did quite leave me. It’s a thought I’ve come back to every now and then since I was 5 years old .

gluttony for him is in reference to his desire for more power, and in tamers he obtained power by absorbing the data of other digimon edit: also wanted to add that gluttony is all about excess and lack of self control, as said in the video
I'm very surprised you didn't use a Palmon Evo because she was the Rookie of the CREST OF PURITY. I know none of them fit but Lillymon does and she can go Lilithmon herself and has a Bancho Evo. Which would be the perfect Rival because a Pure Digimon refused to become like her and refused a form of the upmost beauty OR ANOTHER SYMBOL OF LUST. She stayed Lillymon BUT WITH THE POWER OF JUSTICE!

For the Kindness/anti-Leviamon I was convinced you would choose Kangoumon. After all, it's a Wormmon digivolution (and therefor deeply connected to Kindness) and, as a Gold Armor Digivolution, I'm sure he is on par with a Mega Level Digimon (much like Magnamon is part of the Royal Knight)
I’m a little surprised that Chronomon didn’t make it on here. I understand why you picked Susanoomon for Lucemon, but personally I feel like Chronomon would have been a better fit.
I had...not quite these pairs especially as this was a decade ago so Rasielmon didn't exist. But I did have something much like this in a fanfic I made ages ago. But as the Seven Demon Lords were somewhere between redeemed and still on a Sovereigns-authorized trial period, the twist was that the virtues were evil (though then kinda further twist that they weren't but I think Humility was and was manipulating the rest).
I just had a thought... what if there were evil opposites to the Crests? Courage = Fear, Friendship = Enemy, Love = Hate, Sincerity = Falsify (Alternatively Purity = Vulgar), Knowledge = Ignorance, Reliability = Irresponsible (Alternatively this would be Sincerity = Falsify), Hope = Despair, and Light = Dark. You could also include the crests that were not part of the original 8. Kindness = Cruelty, Miracles = Tragedies, and Destiny = Chance
I have an alternative for lucemon. Omegamon mercy mode. Already is angelic and since omegamon is usually seen as the hand of yggdrasil aka GOD and with the sword has alot of imagry resembling micheal the archangel who defeats lucifer in revelations.
I feel like a good video would be trying to understand/explain the digital worlds heiarchy. I don't get why there are so many groups that all apparently run the digital world that don't seem to interact with each other. What exactly do the royal knights do different from the 3 angels, that do different from the sovereigns, that do different from legendary heroes so on and so forth they all seem to be groups made to protect the digital world but there's no cohesion with the groups and that annoys me. At least the Olympos 12 make sense because they live on a different network but the rest exist on yggdrasils server.

I think the Digimon who can rival the Seven Demon lords would be a mix of the Royal Knights The holy Angels and the Olympus XIi all three group have views on Good and Virtual but are also rivals in how the way it should be and so some of them decide to put their Differences aside to fight against the Demons lords together to uphold good.
Why not Bloomlordmon for Leviamon? Bloomlordmon can be a evolution for Jewelbeemon and is know to be a “kind heart” knight. I like the idea of meicoomon as the inverse for Lucemon since it too has darkness in it but can be a real angel if it goes down the right path.
You mentioned the crest but didn’t use them when you spoke about purity, Charity (meaning love), or diligence (meaning wisdom or knowledge…if we want to really talk about the heavenly virtues the different set of virtues are really taught as all just the same set using different words or phrasing to mean the same set of virtues the more common wording of the seven virtues are the four cardinal virtues Courage, Justice, Prudence/Wisdom, and Temperance and the Three Central Virtues or Faith, Hope, and Love…..I would argue based on the descriptions of the three Archangel digimon given in Frontier that they would represent justice (Seraphimon), Wisdom (Cherubimon), and Temperance (Ofanimon) and Gallantmon (because Gallant means Brave) would represent Courage….this leaves Faith Hope and Love…for these I would use Hououmon for Love since it is the holder of the Crest of Love, Holydramon for Faith, and finally if we wanted to use a digimon in the patamon line for hope we could us Goddramon
Man, many evil villain groups in different franchises use the Seven Deadly Sins theme every time. It's Gunvolt 1 and 2 all over again, except in Digimon form. Not that that is a bad thing, but I wish they would use another theme for a group of villains when they do another one. 100% truth, though, I like every single design of the Demon Lord's.
Next time the anime or some other digimon media makes a "war of ligth vs darkness" kind of deal I want it to be the seven demon lords against these guys, let's say "The seven heavenly guardians/lords"? For the heavenly virtues. Or maybe "The seven guardians of heaven" if heavenly doesn't sound so good to you. I remember watching Adventure 2020 in particular and thinking "man, this is cool and all, but that ancient conflict they keep referencing sure sounds awesome! How about a series about that?"

I like to think the opposite group to the Seven Demon Lords could be the Holy Digimon from the backstory of Adventure 2020. It kinda feels like that’s what they were kind of going for, essentially adding them as a holy group of good to counter things like the Demon Lords.
As someone who is sorta a christian (though more spiritual than religious), I really love how in-depth you go into with the mythology and stuff, like you do for all of your videos. Keep up the great work! 😁👍
I love your non-7 holy digimon picks (and cherubimon), they fit really well! Although I feel like Ophanimon and Lilithmon have to be opposites to each other unfortunately - Lilithmon is said have been "originally the same kind of digimon as ophanimon", much like Demon and Seraphimon's connection. So personally, my picks would be:
Lilithmon | Ophanimon (Motherliness is often associated with chastity, ironic considering how you become a mother in most circumstances, so I feel like it fits?)
Beelzemon | ClavisAngemon (Rasielmon could work as being themed around knowledge, but I think ClavisAngemon embodies temperance well, having to restrain the massive amount of power he has)
Barbamon | Cherubimon
Belphemon | SlashAngemon (I feel like SlashAngemon's sense of justice could be considered diligence? I feel like he fits slightly better than ClavisAngemon)
Demon | Seraphimon
Lucemon | Rasielmon (I think Rasielmon works well as an inverse to Lucemon as well, although it doesn't have the two halves you mentioned, but I think it works well)
Yeah I did suggest Ophanimon as a contender, I just missed that bit of lore as it isn't on Ophanimon's red vook, just Lilithmon's

What would you think of using LovelyAngelmon as its another evoultion of the angelwoman line, and it being based on magical girls shows a sense of parity and with how LovelyAngelmon is a close combat fighter it makes her the opposite of Lilithmon more magical fighter style
@@4wheal If you're asking me, I think it's a pretty cool pick outside of the 7 holy digimon for sure. The only downside would be that she doesn't entirely embody "chastity" but you could argue with her corset-like armor and general feminine appearance while distinctly not having any titty showing, alongside the fact that she seems to embody "girlishness" and generally be "untainted by things like lust" in a way (air quotes not direct quotes), that she still fits. She honestly fits better than ophanimon in my opinion, even if that might just be because she gives me very "innocent" vibes, whereas ophanimon is more mature. In general finding a direct contradiction to "lust" in digimon is pretty difficult because even Digimon itself dances around the existence of sexual attraction and sexual deviance despite, yknow, making a whole digimon based off of it lol

Definitely Ophanimon somewhere in here if we have Seraphimon and Cherubimon, there's a stronger case for her being Temperance which also allows her to break from mirroring Lilithmon. I love the theme here of each Virtuous Digimon having an alternate that either is their opposing Demon Lord or is caused by their opposing sin.

I’m not sure if this applies to all branches of Christianity, but I was taught a bit of a different distinction with lust and gluttony. This differs a little bit from a lot of general public’s idea of these sins.
Lust is the idea of craving and hoarding the immaterial. Yes, this can include sexuality (ex wanting to cheat, being a general creep, etc), but this also takes other forms. Like someone can crave knowledge (ex. gate keeping, overworking) or someone can crave pain and destruction. Think how FMA represents Lust through bloodlust. In that sense, Sakuyamon Miko Mode is perfect. She’s a guide who works to help others and serve the greater good.
I find it ironic that the definition of lust is craving things you can’t touch. It’s basically greed, but instead of materials, it’s for ideas.
The standard idea of lust would technically fall under gluttony. It’s the idea of overconsumption, especially to dangerous levels. That can be overeating, unhealthy sex, or reckless drug use.
Again, not sure if these definitions fall under all of the branches of Christianity. I know that some have an eighth sin in despair, but I’m not well-versed in that.
This is just a long way to say I think your pick for Lillithmon was perfect. (The others were great too, but I don’t have a thesis for them 😅)
Think you could do a video of there being other groups similar to the Four Dragons? Like 1 Sovereign +3 others groups with one evil member?
For the four birds my guess would be Zhugiamon, Hououmon, Valdurmon, and Ornismon.

Another good connection between Daemon and Seraphimon is the Preist mode of MagnaAngemon and the red robed Daemon and usually MagnaAngemon digivolves to Seraphimon

That particular Renamon is technically male, as it has a male VA and even refers to itself as a male.

You know, with how things are going, I do think new Angelic Digimon are needed. Since it would let the artists be more creative while keeping the design philosophy of what was established. Plus a Digimon based on the Goddess of Law Themis would make sense to exist. And despite how Themis is a Greek Goddess, she's depicted with her eyes covered. Just like how the Angelic Digimon we see have their eyes covered.
I mean they did just reveal Luxmon a brand new angel rookie digimon, so... they probably have plans.

Considering the Demon Lords are antagonistic & pick fights in multiple digital worlds, they could easily have multiple rivals each.
Lilithmon is (or is at least believed to be) a fallen Ophanimon, as mentioned in the former's reference entry. Venusmon doesn't work as Chastity, but is a strong counterpart otherwise.
Shivamon could be a good rival to Belphemon, as both have incredible destructive powers but very opposite natures. Really, Shivamon could work for all of them to different degrees, but Sloth seems its true enemy.
Seraphimon vs. Demon/Creepymon is perfect, no notes.
Leviamon's the toughest because he hasn't shown up as much & his few roles have been minor (unless I missed something big). MarineAngemon would be my default pick, but a) not really an angel, and b) Scyllamon's more MarineAngemon's counterpart. Maybe KingWhamon?
Beelzemon has Beelstarmon, and possibly the Three Musketeers as a whole. Gallantmon in general is a great pick from the Royal Knights.

Some of these choices just seem poetic to me.
Slashangmon over Gallentmon, the sword vs guns to good to pass up. And while I like Susanomon vs Lucifermon, Mastamon's matching wings work so Susanomon as the fusion of all 7 to fight the seven sins fused really works. Bit sad you couldn't work in Imperialdramon fighter as it is still one of my all time favs from Digimon.

Maybe a lore vid on analyzing the Digimentals that compares and contrasts them with virtues, like love and hope from the three theological virtues, asking if Purity would align with Chastity, and stretches, such as "is Friendship the Humility Digimental?"
I’m a big fan of digimon but I’m an even bigger fan of Demonology. The demon lords have been some of my favorite digimon of all time because each of them, aside from lilithmon, are tied directly to one of the seven princes of Hell in demonology. Maybe if you ever wanted to revisit this topic you could do a custom art video giving us digimon inspired by the archangels. While there is debate about who are canon members some consistent ones are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel but there are enough from various groups to make seven.
Purity is another translation of Mimi's crest(usually sincerity)
Hopefully you use one of the other ideas and have it where the seven Great demon Lords have holy or good versions of them
For the 7 Angels from 2020, you forgot Valdurmon, who I guess would be let to take Sakuyamon Miko Mode's place opposite Lilithmon
If we're pairing the sacred digimon from adventure 2020 like in the ending, I would put Ophanimon next to Lilithmon and then Valdurmon next to Leviamon

The Seven Heavenly Warriors were:
Seraphimon, who represented Patience and rivaled the Wrath Sin Daemon
Ophanimon, representing Chastity and went up against Lilithmon the Lust Demon.
Cherubimon (Virtue) represents Humility and went beast vs beast against Leviamon the sin of Envy.
SlashAngemon went up against Beelzemon and his sin of Gluttony, representing the virtue of Temperance.
ClavisAngemon, representing the Virtue of Charity, would battle the Greed Demon Lord Barbamon.
Anubismon would represent the Virtue of Diligence and is able to go up against the Sloth Belphemon Rage Mode.
And lastly there was Mastemon, representing the Virtue of Humility. This would make her rival Lucemon Falldown Mode. And I think the extra bit of making them opposites who both control both Light and Darkness is a neat touch.
On the Lust one, in other countries the crest of Sincerity is known as the crest of purity. So that one could be its opposite
On the sloth one, i would imagine the crest of reliability could be it's opposite. Someone who is reliable in their work would be diligent
On the wrath one, You need patience to have hope. That would be it's opposite
On the pride one, asking for help from friends takes humility. Friendship would be its opposite crest
A kind always wondered if there was potential in pitting a rookie lucemon against Falldown Mode but as far as I understand the rookie-level can only so far surpass ultimates/perfects where as FM surpasses megas so there's definitely a Power Imbalance there.
Maybe I just like the idea of two different Lucemons fighting for different ideals (or some kind of attempt at sibling rivalry IDK lol)
Honestly, I feel like Wormmon's Mega level, BanchoStingmon, yes it's a real Digimon, would work for kindness. Plus, he looks totally badass!

Now I'm just curious what a DNA Evolution between both Digimon would look like. Since the fusionnwould embody both concepts at the same time. Then the different modes could represent one side of their concept taking over.
Personally, I prefer Ophanimon against Lilithmon, but a large part of that has to do with a childhood obsession with the juxtaposition of Angewoman and Ladydevimon. Idk it’s just one of those things that never did quite leave me. It’s a thought I’ve come back to every now and then since I was 5 years old .
I have always been confused why beelzamon. Sorry if I misspelled that, was the embodiment of gluttony. If anything, he should be envoy based on his story from tamers and lavelamon should be gluttony
gluttony for him is in reference to his desire for more power, and in tamers he obtained power by absorbing the data of other digimon
edit: also wanted to add that gluttony is all about excess and lack of self control, as said in the video
I'm very surprised you didn't use a Palmon Evo because she was the Rookie of the CREST OF PURITY. I know none of them fit but Lillymon does and she can go Lilithmon herself and has a Bancho Evo. Which would be the perfect Rival because a Pure Digimon refused to become like her and refused a form of the upmost beauty OR ANOTHER SYMBOL OF LUST. She stayed Lillymon BUT WITH THE POWER OF JUSTICE!

For the Kindness/anti-Leviamon I was convinced you would choose Kangoumon. After all, it's a Wormmon digivolution (and therefor deeply connected to Kindness) and, as a Gold Armor Digivolution, I'm sure he is on par with a Mega Level Digimon (much like Magnamon is part of the Royal Knight)

I had...not quite these pairs especially as this was a decade ago so Rasielmon didn't exist. But I did have something much like this in a fanfic I made ages ago. But as the Seven Demon Lords were somewhere between redeemed and still on a Sovereigns-authorized trial period, the twist was that the virtues were evil (though then kinda further twist that they weren't but I think Humility was and was manipulating the rest).
I like the second one with the angel digimons, it’s just a bit more fitting.

Courage = Fear, Friendship = Enemy, Love = Hate, Sincerity = Falsify (Alternatively Purity = Vulgar), Knowledge = Ignorance, Reliability = Irresponsible (Alternatively this would be Sincerity = Falsify), Hope = Despair, and Light = Dark.
You could also include the crests that were not part of the original 8. Kindness = Cruelty, Miracles = Tragedies, and Destiny = Chance

I have an alternative for lucemon. Omegamon mercy mode. Already is angelic and since omegamon is usually seen as the hand of yggdrasil aka GOD and with the sword has alot of imagry resembling micheal the archangel who defeats lucifer in revelations.

I feel like a good video would be trying to understand/explain the digital worlds heiarchy. I don't get why there are so many groups that all apparently run the digital world that don't seem to interact with each other. What exactly do the royal knights do different from the 3 angels, that do different from the sovereigns, that do different from legendary heroes so on and so forth they all seem to be groups made to protect the digital world but there's no cohesion with the groups and that annoys me. At least the Olympos 12 make sense because they live on a different network but the rest exist on yggdrasils server.
Isn’t Mimi’s crest purity in Japanese so that would technically work also does anyone else prefer the demon lords having their Angel counter parts for those who have them (for Beelphamon it would be Cherubimon if you believe the theory)
I think the Digimon who can rival the Seven Demon lords would be a mix of the Royal Knights The holy Angels and the Olympus XIi all three group have views on Good and Virtual but are also rivals in how the way it should be and so some of them decide to put their Differences aside to fight against the Demons lords together to uphold good.
Why not Bloomlordmon for Leviamon? Bloomlordmon can be a evolution for Jewelbeemon and is know to be a “kind heart” knight. I like the idea of meicoomon as the inverse for Lucemon since it too has darkness in it but can be a real angel if it goes down the right path.
You mentioned the crest but didn’t use them when you spoke about purity, Charity (meaning love), or diligence (meaning wisdom or knowledge…if we want to really talk about the heavenly virtues the different set of virtues are really taught as all just the same set using different words or phrasing to mean the same set of virtues the more common wording of the seven virtues are the four cardinal virtues Courage, Justice, Prudence/Wisdom, and Temperance and the Three Central Virtues or Faith, Hope, and Love…..I would argue based on the descriptions of the three Archangel digimon given in Frontier that they would represent justice (Seraphimon), Wisdom (Cherubimon), and Temperance (Ofanimon) and Gallantmon (because Gallant means Brave) would represent Courage….this leaves Faith Hope and Love…for these I would use Hououmon for Love since it is the holder of the Crest of Love, Holydramon for Faith, and finally if we wanted to use a digimon in the patamon line for hope we could us Goddramon

Man, many evil villain groups in different franchises use the Seven Deadly Sins theme every time.
It's Gunvolt 1 and 2 all over again, except in Digimon form.
Not that that is a bad thing, but I wish they would use another theme for a group of villains when they do another one.
100% truth, though, I like every single design of the Demon Lord's.
Next time the anime or some other digimon media makes a "war of ligth vs darkness" kind of deal I want it to be the seven demon lords against these guys, let's say "The seven heavenly guardians/lords"? For the heavenly virtues. Or maybe "The seven guardians of heaven" if heavenly doesn't sound so good to you. I remember watching Adventure 2020 in particular and thinking "man, this is cool and all, but that ancient conflict they keep referencing sure sounds awesome! How about a series about that?"
