With modern gasoline when you are running rich because the gasoline is so clean you have white smoke instead of black like years ago
Imagine going into a repair garage and listening to that
1991 302 five liter , HO , can the pressure regulator go so bad that the car will hardly run , or not at all ,,, ? ,,, it's not the ignition , runs fine on starting fluid ,,, !
I believe it’s possible. Also check the fuel filter. It’s cheap and easy to get to on our cars
