This was the rebirth of TRACI, really starting to embrace and protect her personal well-being and believing in herself, without her sisters. Her confidence to confront them and lay down her new boundaries was lovely to watch. THEY on the other hand found it difficult because they were so used to TRACI being the butt of their jokes and her doing nothing.

More so Tamar because everyone pumped her up and she was more popular but I liked Traci a lot and related to her more. So sad she passed away from this horrible disease. I wish she had of beat this! I feel like she's the mouth piece for the others. Towanda is the dront man and she loves it because it's her character to be nice nasty and to be cunning and conniving. They used Trina's wedding at the time to try and persuade Traci to stand with them and request more money from the network so Towanda set it up in hopes of getting that object. It's really crazy looking back now to be able to see just how mentally and emotionally depleted Traci was when it came to trying to get their support and understand to her side of things.
Traci shitted on herself being a ‘pick me’ for a situation that happened over 15 years by the time the show came. Traci never dealt with herself until she was to angry to be around her family for things that she never brought to light.
Lord Traci was the truest Braxton and I saw much of myself in her. The sister that takes so much and gives only to be belittled and taken for granted. Praying 🙏🏾 for her family and take your rest now Traci no more pain or sorrow.

They stressed Traci out so bad, you could see the bags under her eyes from crying when she was in Napa. Her and Trina were always my favs. Traci didn’t go along with the passive aggressiveness or the gaslighting and those types of behaviors really drive you nuts because you know you’re the sane one when every one pretends you’re tripping. Tamar was being a bit extra (calling cigar handling "ghetto" because it was Kevin that handed them out) and Traci didn't want any confrontations. So, when Sean and David wanted to facilitate a mediation between the sisters Towanda and Trina were all for it, Tamar said cool as long as it wasn't another Tamarvention, but Traci was not. This was all presented to the sisters individually. Traci stated explicitly that she didn't want to deal with the situation at that time. Towanda seemed to ignore her sister's wishes and went along with it anyway. Traci gets mad and Towanda sits there looking clueless as if Traci didn't just tell her a few hours before that she wasn't feeling it because she was still very frustrated. Towanda even shares a joke with Tamar about people wanting to stay mad for no reason. Though Tamar might not have known about Traci's feelings on the situation Towanda one hundred percent did. And even in the season six clip, all Towanda does is deflect as Traci asks her why she chose to ignore her feelings about the situation. If you look back at the series you'll see that Towanda instigates a lot. She does this earlier in season six (I think) when Traci was kicked off of Tamar and Toni's tour. There is a scene where she's trying to force a confrontation between Toni and Traci while they were eating lunch together, but at that time Traci kept it cool and ignored her. Towanda is also the sister who chose to tell the world about Kevin's possible love child without Traci being there. But, she had a hissy fit about Tamar calling her ex-husband Andre, a live-in babysitter. She was angry because she didn't want her children to be hurt by Tamar's words but she didn't give a good goddamn that there would be a very good possibility that Traci's son, Little Kevin, might see it. When Traci talks about how her son was hurt and bullied, Towanda brushed it off as "it was already on the internet" trying to absolve herself of any wrongdoing. Folks love to only blame Tamar, but Towanda is worse. With Tamar, she's on auto-reply most of the time. With Towanda that shit is calculated. She does what she does on purpose, damn the consequences. Tamar had it right, she's mean and hateful, and she doesn't have to be.
It still blows my mind Traci is gone. Hearing Towanda sit there saying life is short, not even knowing just how short of time she had left with the sister she's speaking with. I just pray for their entire family. 😔

I keep watching these snippets and seeing pearls of wisdom Traci dropped (even when in their faces). She simply wasn't heard some times because of her delivery and other times her sister cast her as the crazy one and refused to see and treat her like that. Like the show gave them names; the sisters gave eachother titles and Tamar and Traci were "The Problematic " sisters.

She was sick at this time for her cancer to be in S4. She probably didn’t know then and the exercising helped shape up the excess weight loss. Speaking for someone who was I’ll and didn’t pay attention nor listen to my body until I was deadly ill, you do not recognize the weight drop until later. It’s something you don’t pay attention too until your body really feels start to break down internally. I don’t have cancer, but it’s tricky: it does what it wants with different body’s!

Traci is my favourite sister and I’m so sorry she has gone. She looks terrific here, better than all the other sisters. I can understand how she felt like a neglected child throughout her life. The sisters never made a real and sincere effort to understand her feelings because they are all so engrossed in their priorities. Tamar in particular has such a self-inflated sense of self. For me, Traci and Toni are the best.
You can never really know what is going on inside someone if you are not that person (no matter how many episodes you have watched, you are still viewing it from the outside because you are not Tracy (the person in question). From what I have seen...That Tracy decided to set boundaries and such, says that there has been a serious level of pain (in part) regarding the family and also within herself and indicates that she is also grieving the loss of her niece, whom she considers her daughter. And she is now at a stage of life where she is now choosing that she needs to set boundaries, for HERSELF. Just saying. She has decided to take the time (for herself) to deal with this (and do some deep healing and inner work) and the way she has handled it comes - from what I have observed - from self-respect and dignity and love. What Traci shows here is something I have not seen in her other sisters (yet). Tracy, thank you for being an inspiration, thank you for being yourself. I wish you the very best. And I'm not just saying this because I'm also sun in aries ☺❤
The spiritual always manifest in the natural unless it's somehow canceled. I really think you have a point there. Emotional pain, disappointment, and grief are spirit altering. They are like spiritual cancers that eat away at you if not dealt with and I truly believe it manifested physically with Traci. This is totally my opinion and it probably wont make sense to most, but even though she started being more vocal about her feelings, I believeTraci still held a alot of unspoken pain and saddness and perhaps unforgiveness showed up as cancer in her throat.
If you break down the word disease it’s dis-ease. Stress and unresolved issues definitely cause sickness. Traci is surely at peace now and prayers for her loved ones🙏🏾
I agree. Traci had so much hurt deep down inside that it manifested in her body as illness. It’s really sad but looking at some of the last episodes you can see her making peace as if she was preparing for her transition unknowingly. Like in the episode with her and Ms. Evelyn talking about their relationship. My dad made peace with my mom and his siblings who dogged him before he transitioned. Nonetheless, Rest In Peace Queen. I’m sorry but can we be honest? Traci problem was not only her sisters nor her husband; Traci problem was HER❕Traci held on to her sisters signing a record deal with her because she suddenly got pregnant, especially since Trina was already pregnant. No matter how much she claimed she wasn’t, it showed when she formed the idea that she was always left behind when in reality- she stayed in DMV while the sisters were together. She wanted to be a BG singer/dancer because Towanda, Trina and Tamar did it. Traci couldn’t keep up and randomly did whatever on stage, she take it seriously. When Towanda spearheaded the ‘boundary train’ against Tamar for accepting a job, Traci followed. She was in now in Tamar place with Trina & Towanda. She was also aggressive because she felt they left her. There are numerous occasions of her trying to physically attack Tamar and later Towanda. Her sisters did treat her a s a lessor BECAUSE she acted like on. Tamar had to tell her no one care about her complaining about not being in the back when she needed to simply do it. She always goes off so easily on them and leaves them because she’s never forgave them! She didn’t deal with it when it happened and carried it for years. The sisters no longer cared because nobody’s still thinking of it 15-25 years later. Never displayed the strength of taking care of herself until she blamed everyone available❕
I’m rewatching the last season since the Braxton started up and I couldn’t find any comment thinking like yours. This is exactly how I felt. Was she mistreated yes, and other things were the problem but man. I think she really held on to that and that led to her demise.
None of these clips aged well for this family and how they treated Traci. They always treated her like the forgotten sister. I was at my daughter house Sunday and went on you tube and saw a video titled "Traci Braxton last video" I immediately went out of you tube and on to Google and typed her name, when it said "Tracy Braxton dead at 50" I bust out crying, so hard and so gut wrenching my grandchildren (ages 5and6) came asking me if I were okay.... My daughter came in and asked 'mom what's wrong? I said you're gonna think I'm petty, (because of how hard I was crying over someone I didn't personally know) and she said 'you just found out about Traci didn't you?' I started crying harder.... She said, I saw that yesterday but didn't want to be the one to tell you. She knew how much i adored Traci. She was the realest one. Felt no need to get things done to her face or act all Hollywood, she was funny and personable and I feel like I lost family. It is Friday and I am still crying. Today, there are videos saying she was "sacrificed" ...... I know it must've been hard for her mother and sisters to see her have a healthy long and lasting marriage to her friend. They had staying power whereas those of you that thought you were better, be it you thought you looked better, had better (things) were built better, what you didn't have was a strong marriage and a personality whereas you didn't have to work to be liked..... I don't know if you sacrificed her or not, (I know you publicly said she was dead to you) what I do know is you all aren't Traci, and watching you Try to prosper from her death, will be sad to see because you will get nothing. Nothing you attempt will prosper. For none of you. I call forth the truth. May God have the final say. Tamar was being a bit extra (calling cigar handling "ghetto" because it was Kevin that handed them out) and Traci didn't want any confrontations. So, when Sean and David wanted to facilitate a mediation between the sisters Towanda and Trina were all for it, Tamar said cool as long as it wasn't another Tamarvention, but Traci was not. This was all presented to the sisters individually.
Traci stated explicitly that she didn't want to deal with the situation at that time. Towanda seemed to ignore her sister's wishes and went along with it anyway. Traci gets mad and Towanda sits there looking clueless as if Traci didn't just tell her a few hours before that she wasn't feeling it because she was still very frustrated.
Towanda even shares a joke with Tamar about people wanting to stay mad for no reason. Though Tamar might not have known about Traci's feelings on the situation Towanda one hundred percent did. And even in the season six clip, all Towanda does is deflect as Traci asks her why she chose to ignore her feelings about the situation.
If you look back at the series you'll see that Towanda instigates a lot. She does this earlier in season six (I think) when Traci was kicked off of Tamar and Toni's tour. There is a scene where she's trying to force a confrontation between Toni and Traci while they were eating lunch together, but at that time Traci kept it cool and ignored her.
Towanda is also the sister who chose to tell the world about Kevin's possible love child without Traci being there. But, she had a hissy fit about Tamar calling her ex-husband Andre, a live-in babysitter. She was angry because she didn't want her children to be hurt by Tamar's words but she didn't give a good goddamn that there would be a very good possibility that Traci's son, Little Kevin, might see it. When Traci talks about how her son was hurt and bullied, Towanda brushed it off as "it was already on the internet" trying to absolve herself of any wrongdoing.
Folks love to only blame Tamar, but Towanda is worse. With Tamar, she's on auto-reply most of the time. With Towanda that shit is calculated. She does what she does on purpose, damn the consequences. Tamar had it right, she's mean and hateful, and she doesn't have to be.

She was sick at this time for her cancer to be in S4. She probably didn’t know then and the exercising helped shape up the excess weight loss. Speaking for someone who was I’ll and didn’t pay attention nor listen to my body until I was deadly ill, you do not recognize the weight drop until later. It’s something you don’t pay attention too until your body really feels start to break down internally. I don’t have cancer, but it’s tricky: it does what it wants with different body’s!

Traci is my favourite sister and I’m so sorry she has gone. She looks terrific here, better than all the other sisters. I can understand how she felt like a neglected child throughout her life. You can never really know what is going on inside someone if you are not that person (no matter how many episodes you have watched, you are still viewing it from the outside because you are not Tracy (the person in question). From what I have seen...That Tracy decided to set boundaries and such, says that there has been a serious level of pain (in part) regarding the family and also within herself and indicates that she is also grieving the loss of her niece, whom she considers her daughter. And she is now at a stage of life where she is now choosing that she needs to set boundaries, for HERSELF. Just saying. She has decided to take the time (for herself) to deal with this (and do some deep healing and inner work) and the way she has handled it comes - from what I have observed - from self-respect and dignity and love. What Traci shows here is something I have not seen in her other sisters (yet). Tracy, thank you for being an inspiration, thank you for being yourself. I wish you the very best. And I'm not just saying this because I'm also sun in aries ☺❤

The spiritual always manifest in the natural unless it's somehow canceled. I really think you have a point there. Emotional pain, disappointment, and grief are spirit altering. They are like spiritual cancers that eat away at you if not dealt with and I truly believe it manifested physically with Traci. This is totally my opinion and it probably wont make sense to most, but even though she started being more vocal about her feelings, I believeTraci still held a alot of unspoken pain and saddness and perhaps unforgiveness showed up as cancer in her throat.
If you break down the word disease it’s dis-ease. Stress and unresolved issues definitely cause sickness. Traci is surely at peace now and prayers for her loved ones🙏🏾
I agree. Traci had so much hurt deep down inside that it manifested in her body as illness. It’s really sad but looking at some of the last episodes you can see her making peace as if she was preparing for her transition unknowingly. Like in the episode with her and Ms. Evelyn talking about their relationship. My dad made peace with my mom and his siblings who dogged him before he transitioned. Nonetheless, Rest In Peace Queen. I understand how Traci feels about the past issue with the signing of contracts and pregnancy. That aside, I wonder if her sisters can see how they did not respect her. I’m sure they don’t think they didn’t, but she kept saying they didn’t. Sometimes you have to “hear” the person if they keep saying the same thing over and over. Pride is a big barrier. I hope they got it right with each other.
Traci was very aggressive, combative, and rude and would lash out at anyone when she would erupt. She never just stated her boundaries and asked for what she wanted. I’m sorry but can we be honest? Traci problem was not only her sisters nor her husband; Traci problem was HER❕Traci held on to her sisters signing a record deal with her because she suddenly got pregnant, especially since Trina was already pregnant.
No matter how much she claimed she wasn’t, it showed when she formed the idea that she was always left behind when in reality- she stayed in DMV while the sisters were together. She wanted to be a BG singer/dancer because Towanda, Trina and Tamar did it. Traci couldn’t keep up and randomly did whatever on stage, she take it seriously.
When Towanda spearheaded the ‘boundary train’ against Tamar for accepting a job, Traci followed. She was in now in Tamar place with Trina & Towanda. She was also aggressive because she felt they left her. There are numerous occasions of her trying to physically attack Tamar and later Towanda. Her sisters did treat her a s a lessor BECAUSE she acted like on. Tamar had to tell her no one care about her complaining about not being in the back when she needed to simply do it.
She always goes off so easily on them and leaves them because she’s never forgave them! She didn’t deal with it when it happened and carried it for years. The sisters no longer cared because nobody’s still thinking of it 15-25 years later. Never displayed the strength of taking care of herself until she blamed everyone available❕
I’m rewatching the last season since the Braxton started up and I couldn’t find any comment thinking like yours. This is exactly how I felt. Was she mistreated yes, and other things were the problem but man. I think she really held on to that and that led to her demise.
None of these clips aged well for this family and how they treated Traci. They always treated her like the forgotten sister. Damn it's sad cause they can watch these shows and see all the good and also look back and see the bad and hopefully they can learn to treat each other better. Especially Tamar. I was at my daughter house Sunday and went on you tube and saw a video titled "Traci Braxton last video" I immediately went out of you tube and on to Google and typed her name, when it said "Tracy Braxton dead at 50" I bust out crying, so hard and so gut wrenching my grandchildren (ages 5and6) came asking me if I were okay.... My daughter came in and asked 'mom what's wrong? I said you're gonna think I'm petty, (because of how hard I was crying over someone I didn't personally know) and she said 'you just found out about Traci didn't you?' I started crying harder.... She said, I saw that yesterday but didn't want to be the one to tell you. She knew how much i adored Traci. She was the realest one. Felt no need to get things done to her face or act all Hollywood, she was funny and personable and I feel like I lost family. It is Friday and I am still crying. Today, there are videos saying she was "sacrificed" ...... I know it must've been hard for her mother and sisters to see her have a healthy long and lasting marriage to her friend. They had staying power whereas those of you that thought you were better, be it you thought you looked better, had better (things) were built better, what you didn't have was a strong marriage and a personality whereas you didn't have to work to be liked..... I don't know if you sacrificed her or not, (I know you publicly said she was dead to you) what I do know is you all aren't Traci, and watching you Try to prosper from her death, will be sad to see because you will get nothing. Omg! This ish upsets me everytime I see it and it's been years later but it still gets under my skin when I see Towanda trying to make Traci out to be hostile and belligerent especially when Traci has legit reason to be feeling the way she was feeling. Watching this reminds me of how many times Traci has had to play nice for the sake of being apart of the family. Smh! I had a time in my life where I had to do the same with my own sister's and parents because although no one os perfect and I had done some things that hurt them I took responsibility and then when the tables where turned they all pretend that my issues where just too old to address or that it would cause to much of whatever so let's just leave it, because your putting 10 on 20. Smh! But boundaries are the best thing O could have ever done.

Unpopular point of view but that doesnt mean its withoit merit 😏: A lot of people see themselves in Traci bc a lot of people are comfortable in holding onto to hurt, and narratives that dont truly serve them🤷🏽♀️ I liked Traci and her humour and loved that she finally started advocating for herself. In herself first, then her marriage (love how folks forget all the pain, Kevin and his narcissist cheating ass caused for Traci but anyway) and in her role with her sisters. At some point everyone has to acknowledge the role they play in their own relationships, and what they allow.

They always downplayed how Traci felt like they were above her
It’s crazy how Towanda talks about Lauren as if she wasn’t her niece too. And she has a diminishing tone regarding Traci’s grief.
