I'm 6'6" and theoretically, I shouldn't be able to love this coaster, which children can comfortably ride, but I think it's awesome! The air time gets me every time. Great engineering
I know I am in the minority but I actually like the stand up coasters. They aren't rough once you learn how to ride them. They take a little bit of work. 1) bend your knees slightly when the seat can slide up and down until they lock the seat in place 2) now straighten out your legs so your butt is off the seat 3) put your head forward of the restraints 4) optional: you can press your cheek into the direction of the turns to prevent any head banging.
What a great video! Finally getting to ride Pipeline was so surreal and definitely revitalizes the stand-up model. Looking forward to future installments.
Skyrider at CW (home park) was arguably the most fun coaster in the park... there was a joie de vivre to its ride, with some bite, that bigger, higher, faster coasters overlooked.
I rode Mantis at Cedar Point once, and my chest was sore for hours afterward from banging into the restraints. If it had these vest style restraints, I probably would have loved it.
Yes, I mentioned Shockwave and some of the other Intimin stand ups in the original script, but they shared such similarities to B&M's initial go that I didn't feel it added anything to the video, so I cut that part.
It looks great, i think they solved most of the issues from the original standups ,however i dont really think this model is gonna take of, mabye 1 or 2 more instalations at best. Biggest problem being that standups are just not that popular with the GP , and the parks that have the money to buy one usually have other needs to fill first.
What do you think of Pipeline?

Just recently rode Pipeline. Loved it! But Manta and Mako are the kings of the park...
Couldn't agree more!

I rode King Cobra as a kid. Intense ride for its day. I miss it and Vortex at KI.
Pipeline was so much fun, it was my 100th credit, and stand up airtime is amazing!
I was pleasantly surprised, a good choice for a 100th!

Hoping it's the start of a new wave of them (no pun intended)
My dad would always tell me about how badly iron wolf beat him up when he rode it on a date to the park with my mom 😂

OMG saaaame, Mantis was brutal
Just curious what about intamin stand ups?

I really liked Pipeline when I went. Second favorite coaster at SeaWorld
Agree, it's a win for the park fr

That's true, I do notice people try to sit down still on the ride lol
The vest restraints suck
Yeah I didn't touch on them here, but they grip my collar bone in a weird spot
Those vests a toooooo tight .
They are quite tight
I rode King cobra in 1993 and it banged your head around awful
Yeah the original stand ups were endurance matches lol
It was OK, airtime felt mechanical, layout is.meh and the vest restraints are uncomfortable.. Riddlers is still far superior
2gs of your weight all on your jewels makes me cringe
lol
Pipeline is a hit. You’re a little late on your assessment.
There's no time limit on analysis
