I previously posted the GoPro version of this flight but removed it because of some file issues. This is the DJI Osmo Pocket version.
I originally removed audio from a Southwest go around prior to our departure but ultimately decided to included the audio and upload this version of the video. Consider it a Director's Cut edition.
Fog randomly rolled in before we departed. It forced a Southwest 737 to go around because they could not see the runway. Our window was pretty wet before takeoff so it was hard to see out the window until we got up to speed on the takeoff. This flight was on Delta's 757-200 Transcon Config. There are very few 757 routes out of LAX so I was happy to get back on one and have it be the transcon configuration as well.

Nice takeoff. Was there a specific reason that runway 24R was the active for takeoffs on June 15th? It is unusual for takeoffs/landings to use 24R unless there is an issue with 24L.

From the LAWA website: "Runway 6R-24L Long Term Closure for North Airfield Exit Taxiways (NAET) Project March 06, 2024 through July 18, 2024 (Revision 1): Runway 6R-24L will be closed for 132 consecutive calendar days (estimated) beginning March 06, 2024 (0030L/0830Z) through July 18, 2024, for Phase 4 of the North Airfield Exit Taxiways (NAET) Project. The NAET Project will construct four new exit taxiways south of Runway 6L-24R that will connect to Taxiways D and E by the end of the project."

@@LAXTravels Thanks for the update. I remember last year when they were working on the runway, but haven't been there much this year. My spotting crew has been spending most of the time on the South Side. Just yesterday they reopened 28L at SFO.
