Being the latest board from DGT, I really would have expected better performance from their piece recognition.
Thanks for posting this game. Very helpful to see how the board can sometimes fail to read a move, regardless of the reason.

I think it is the sensors. Like if you move too fast it may misinterpret. That's what it feels like, since I was in a little time scramble.
This issue with piece recognition at the end almost makes it a not worthy upgrade from the Centaur

I have not experienced it.
Which do you like better, the Pegasus or the SOP? I bought the SOP because of the rocky launch of the Pegasus and I really do love it so far although I do wish the size was more of an analysis size like the Pegasus so I can fit in on more tables and countertops.
I like them both so it depends. The Pegasus is probably better if you like playing online and being able to have more control over how you play. For example, pick your own color and play rated games. But the square off pro has a more overall than complete package and you can play with it offline. So it's hard to say which one I like the best. It just depends on whether I want to play online or not. Either way you can't go wrong with either one. You'll probably be happy with either.

Hi! Nice video! May I ask what's your opinion on Pegasus after so many months? I'm thinking about getting it, but a bit discouraged by all the criticism (always very old comments) that I find. Have they improved the app or the system somehow? I plan to play on Lichess, 10+5 or slower games. Thanks!
Well, the app hasn't changed a whole lot, but what has changed is the third party support. WHile the DGT app is still a servicable app for the board, these apps give the board a new breathe of fresh air: White Pawn, Chess Dojo, Lucas Chess, and Graham's Chess Programs. @@katzenpapa Hi again! I finally bought it today and I'm charging for the first time. It's weird, because the DGT app said the battery was at 64% and now at 100% for a while, but the LED side-light has been orange-yellowish, blinking constantly every 10 seconds, since the beginning (the manual says blinking orange means low battery warning). So I'm not sure if its actually charging or not... Is this normal behavior? Thanks!
@@jgf6072 I have sen this before. Its not a big deal, just it charge since its fresh out of the box. Also you can charge it and use it at the same time I believe. Don't forget to try out the third party apps! Cheers and congrats on your new purchase!
