Great reaction. In an interview, Zaz said that Till had serious breathing problems during the digging scene because the earth was pressing so hard on his chest. She said the panic on her face was real because she was afraid she wouldn't be able to help him in time. By the way, they used that scene exactly for the video. 😏

I think another interpretation might be that they love each other so much that the fear of losing him/her means that killing them - so they can never leave and will always be there when needed, seems the only (twisted) option available. Dunno, it can be so difficult to tell with Till sometimes. I think that ZAZ does not get enough credit from the Till fans on this - she sounds beautiful and commits fully to the story of the video.

I love this song! According to what I've read, the idea for this song actually came from Tills poetry book from a few years ago (in stillen nachten, I believe it's called) Zaz's pianist read the poetry book and actually came up with the idea for the song, and the collaboration with Till. Who actually wrote the lyrics I wasn't able to find, but I assume it's a collaboration with the pianist, Zaz and Till all together.
Best interpretation I ever watched. I love you, I hate you, we're on a toxic relationship and there's little we can do, for there's still a little spark of love remaining. 💔
