@@messhugah8273 African, not celtic, me thinks. She used to start concerts with on ira and put this in to warm up her voice beforehand. She has done a cover of another African song, called wapi yo. That one is in lingala, a language used in Kongo / Zaire.
No problem. I didn't want to complain or anything. I just didn't want you to miss this. Zaz has easily the most beautiful personality I've every come across, from what you can see in those videos and the other ones you haven't seen, yet. It's so interesting to see that her musicians are those calm and cool professionals and she is always flying 3 ft. above the ground with all of the energy she has. I'm not an expert in French culture, but it seems to me that the French like to sing in pictures, always comparing something to another thing or a place that most people know. This is not the first time a chanson mentioned the Sixtine Chapel, for example. There are many chansons that name this and other places as metaphor or comparison to something. Maybe we have someone French here, who can explain it.
Hello. an attempt at an explanation from a Frenchman. A successful song should arouse emotion in the listener. for that the artist has at his disposal his music his voice, and what he suggests by his words. If the text is too descriptive, it only affects those who have experienced the fact related. On the other hand, if it is suggested, then everyone can call up the image that suits them. To illustrate my point, if you say "we were hungry" that has less force than if you say "we only ate every other day" (in a song by C AZNAVOUR: La bohème). And everyone understood. I hope to have answered. cordially. In french (i am not sure for the translation):Bonjour. une tentative d'explication d'un Français.
As Zaz writes in her song, "les poètes n'ont pas de drapeaux" ("poets have no flag") ON IRA comes from the irregular verb "aller" meaning "WE WILL GO"😊
She is the best and most genuine performing artists (and songwriter) in the world. It's her humanity that reminds us of our own. Check out her live performances of: eblouie par la nuit. Be prepared to be moved.
I just like her voice, don't care if she would be moody, negative, cynical or whatever. Actually, people like that sing great songs too, as long as no one fakes I'm allright with it and she obviously doesn't.

Hello HQ ! Zaz is truly an impressive "original" artist and singer. ON IRA means "We will go" from the verb "aller"😅 Many thanks from France to you !!

Sooo beautiful beginning
Please, listen to the song de ZAZ "dazzled by the night" the text is superb just like the melody, thank

You should listen to her "Je veux"!! You'll love it!
That was the song she performed on top of Mont Blanc. The reaction to that was a few days ago.
You should react to the video clip of Zaz Eblouie par la nuit'.
It is a pretty obvious point but I will still make it:
Don't cut the song to comment on it. Do it after it's done...
Please please react to The SAM song ❤️
