I was thinking about the saying "an apple doesn't fall far from the tree" which would be a nice hint to the two girls getting along so well because they share the same father
I guess the apple on that cover for “Two faces, merging” can be a reference to the phrase “The apple doesn't fall far from the tree” (because these girls are sisters) or maybe to New York (where the story is setting) as it is usually called “The Big Apple”.
They thought way more about this than jack did😂

The "Saturn Has Seven Rings" cover is so gorgeous. I think also because they did a sort of purple-y background colour, rather than a black, it just makes it look more sophisticated and original.

if I saw "Saturn has seven rings" in a bookstore, I wouldn't even have to read the blurb for me to know that that was the book for me. I'd pick it up on the spot. that cover is truly gorgeous. it's a crime not to write a story for it

the apple one is soo good!!! i could be completely wrong but i feel like the apple is for new york, like the big apple? and since the book takes place there the designer wanted to incorporate that in the design? again i could be wrong here but idk

I actually really like the idea of Captain Patroclus of the Achilles. You have that implication of lovers but also that idea that a captain's first love is his ship, and then of course any ship called the Achilles has got to be some invulnerable dreadnought. I may steal that from you, since I actually write sci-fi.

I am actually SPEECHLESS how Jack plots the books in like SECONDS and then there are struggling writers who don't know what to do in their book. Like this man is genius. I'm still astounded at his creativity. I salute you Jack 😭❤️
Jack's so good with titles, Saturn Has Seven Rings... Its straight, its factual with a little bit of mystery hanging in between the /S/s, I would definitely be intrigued to buy such book without knowing anything about the plot.
With everything in the world being so scary and with very little change it’s nice to have a safe place to come to and this channel has always been that for me 🧡🥺

I’m in LOVE with the second cover for “two faces, merging” from the first artist. The color palette is so unique, but it looks amazing.
I think my favorite was actually the first one by that artist though-I wish he'd actually requested a modification with a different title font. But that's just me.
The second one was definitely creative tho, and did have a great color-scheme!^-^

The "Just Keep Swimming" cover was not what I expected, but a lot better. Makes me want to leave the red by jumping in the walter and start swimming. Indeed, maybe a better title for it would have been "Start swimming".

“I think we would benefit from a plot summary, it’d just that we don’t have a plot” that is the literal opposite of what happens to me. As a short story author, I come up with an absolute stunning and extraordinary plot and have no idea how to end it.

The Walter Bottell thing made me chuckle. And then immediately think of an old teammate of mine, George Bovell, who is a 5-time Olympic swimmer and 2004 bronze medalist with a very developed philosophical streak and totally could/would/should write a book like that.

The apple core cover was so cool with the link to NYC, and as someone else commented the saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" since they have the same dad! The final cover for two faces merging felt more like a ya cover to me!
