      In jazz like in any other genre, there are chords, rythms and time structures(repetitions, long notes and short notes, regular pauses), melodies(relationship between notes in sequence), .... That's what we want the AI to learn.

    It sounds like your neural net is good at picking out hallmark features of jazz music, but doesnt understand melody. What you might think about doing is showing it the differences between baroque and jazz as well as the similarities, then have it come up with something that is similar to baroque but is jazzy

      The jazz scale is the shortest scale. It can be played in any order, and it will always sound "like jazz" because its just a scale. Thats why "noodling" up and down the scale sounds bad to most people, because it's just scale memorization done fast. The type of music the algorithm listened to is irrelevant, lol. The timing between the notes and how long they're played for is important. That's why the outputs sounded awkward until the end. Partially, at least.

    Im not sure if this is a stupid idea, but I was wondering what's the 'ultimate word'?
    So maybe you could put all existing English words together and by the number of all the letters maybe you could form an ultimate word.
    Like 'dog'+'cat'+'rat'= *at*
    because there are 2 a's and t's
    I think I'm talking nonsense right now bye

      You wouldn't be able to go just on spelling though because words may have similar spelling but not sound even slightly similar. (weight and wait for example)

    As all the note are the same velocity, the chords hurt my ears. I see that in your images, all colours have the same lightness/brightness(/saturation but I'm not sure). So what if you used the brightness of each color to encode the velocity of the notes ? It could be way more beautiful !
