I'm terrified that Marbles is going to die during Jenna's hiatus and that she's just gonna post a memorial video as the only video in a six month period if she posts at all. I remember Marbles being a puppy and watching him grow into a clueless old man and I just made myself really sad. Excuse me while I have an existential crisis over a dog.

I knoooow, I don't know how they feel about human children (and I hope it goes without saying that I would respect any decision they make) but this is kind of making me hope they'd consider fostering kids too. Obviously that wouldn't be an option if they are filming (the children, and their families, deserve privacy) but I think they'd be amazing at it. That said, if their dogs aren't comfortable with children, obviously it's not a good idea hah.

Jenna really is the textbook definition of the youtuber who grew up. Not into some artificial imposed concept of adulthood but into a person who goes for and achieves her hopes and dreams while caring for others and spreading love onto the wider world. I just admire her so much as a person and feel privileged to have been able to witness her and her family's growth. Love you so much jenna.
I don't think I fully processed how small the iggies actually are until I saw that. Combine that with having seen Grey Hounds along side other large dogs, and their "smallness" by comparison, and I have a much greater appreciation of how small Kermit and Peach actually are.
I just adopted a dog that came from a Korean meat farm. She had NO socialization and didn't know what life was like outside of her cage. I came to this video to help remind myself that the baby-step progress is normal. Thanks so much for posting this and rescuing Bunny!

This is like, textbook demonstration of how to introduce a dog to an existing pack, how to desensitize a shy dog without overwhelming or pressuring... like the level of understanding I see and the level of compassion is unmatched. I worked as an adoption counselor for almost three years, and you guys are gold star level adopters. People like you came along every so often and would go above and beyond for their rescues, and it is honestly inspiring. I wish you guys and Bunny a long and happy lifetime together!
With my dad we came to the conclusion shy dogs tend to me more aggressive when the situation needs too. Shy dogs are the best to be house protector dogs. and are loyal af, since they don't tend to be friend with everyone and around for petting xD so their owners are their priority always.
At the start when she said it's going to be a life journey together, I just thought that's the best attitude an owner can have. She's ready for the long term and any challenges. Can tell lot of thought and research done.

They are smaller breeds of sighthounds that look very much like the larger sighthounds like greyhounds Edit: nevermind I thought Bunny was the grey one. she is on the small side of greyhounds but they aren't as tall as great danes in general.

@petrathorsty3833 I love that so much, because my (sadly since passed) chihuahua mutt was the same way! He would sit on a hard surface, but it would be the slowest and most tentative sit you've ever seen. It was so hard to train him to sit, he learned lay down and touch so much faster.
i think the biggest indicator of the type of dog owners that jenna and julien are is when jenna says that she was starting to show some toy aggression/guarding "which is fine, she'll just need some training." they are such patient and forgiving and responsible dog owners and its honestly such a breath of fresh air to see from anyone, let alone influencers.

could be. Also, dogs see at a different framerate than humans, and it is not a close multiple. That means that screens can look like crazy blinking things to them. It depends on the screen. It is possible that their computer monitors are easier for her to look at, versus a TV or an older computer.
I think that donor dogs’ lives mainly consist of being in tight cages and being poked with needles. They’re basically breathing blood bags. I nearly cry thinking about it.

@marieclaude1301 I think the new one is a whippet mix or Italian greyhound. They are smaller breeds of sighthounds that look very much like the larger sighthounds like greyhounds
Edit: nevermind I thought Bunny was the grey one. she is on the small side of greyhounds but they aren't as tall as great danes in general.

@petrathorsty3833 I love that so much, because my (sadly since passed) chihuahua mutt was the same way! He would sit on a hard surface, but it would be the slowest and most tentative sit you've ever seen. It was so hard to train him to sit, he learned lay down and touch so much faster.

i think the biggest indicator of the type of dog owners that jenna and julien are is when jenna says that she was starting to show some toy aggression/guarding "which is fine, she'll just need some training." they are such patient and forgiving and responsible dog owners and its honestly such a breath of fresh air to see from anyone, let alone influencers.

could be. Also, dogs see at a different framerate than humans, and it is not a close multiple. That means that screens can look like crazy blinking things to them. It depends on the screen. It is possible that their computer monitors are easier for her to look at, versus a TV or an older computer.
I think that donor dogs’ lives mainly consist of being in tight cages and being poked with needles. They’re basically breathing blood bags. I nearly cry thinking about it.
