    I literally made a almost dozen volumetric nebulaes yesterday via Blender. This will be a fantastic way to get others into it using methods in one, advanced but straightforward workflow!

      Really? That's awesome! We've been so interested in actually popularizing this workflow, this procedural method that has been in one way or the other available for years already, just wasn't mainstream I guess.

    Wonderful! Thanks for this Gleb, can’t wait to get stuck in to this! The shot at 6.41 looks up there with Teun’s work, incredible!

    I'd love to see you implement this technique to create milky way and sourcing point cloud from image of real milkyway or Ai generated image. That would me a game changer!

    • @GlebAlexandrov
      @GlebAlexandrov  8 месяцев назад +2

      That would be terrific! Actually that should be possible if that kind of the point-data exists and is available for download somewhere (not necessarily from the image, but rather as a true volume data).

    Wow, can't wait to try it out. Also you sure that only GPU raw performance can be limiting factor? Isn't dense point clouds takes a lot of vram? Which is pretty tight on mid-range Nvidia card from last gen & older.
    Btw you look so much older now, then on first presentation. As if 10 years has passed.

    • @GlebAlexandrov
      @GlebAlexandrov  8 месяцев назад

      The years take their toll) (but I think it's just the lighting and the mustache of course, hehe). Vram - yeah it is a consideration, especially if you aim to push the limits in terms of the point cloud density, let's say, to tens or even hundreds millions points. Then it easily goes to 8+ gb (with the extreme densities that is).

    Legit question. How about using Runway Gen 2 and MidJouney to do all this in a few clicks? Of course for learning it's interesting but if for work perhaps we need to think of using AI.

    • @GlebAlexandrov
      @GlebAlexandrov  8 месяцев назад +4

      A fair comment, for sure. To some extent it's possible to generate a pretty cool space art. Yet, the AI stuff just doesn't cut it, when the output requires artistic control, especially for animation (and to be able to properly art-direct it).
