    This is a great video! Thanks for posting I learned a lot 👍🏼 When/If you use a bottomless portafilter with your machine, have you ever struggled with fit? My normcore bottomless portafilter seems very tight in this machine I have to really hold the machine in place to get it turnt in. Thanks again

      Thank you for watching. I dont have a bottomless portafilter for this coffee bar yet. New portafilter are really tight when new. It will loose overtimr when you use it more often.

      It's a generic 54mm portafilter with dual spout for breville. Bought it in a physical shop.

    Hi, Thank you for the video. You use all sorts of gadgets that are not included with the machine. Could you tell us what they are? Some cup to put the grinds in - something to tamp it before you tamp it. Thank you

      Thank you for watching! The puck preparations includes a dosing cup, dosing ring, WDT tool to break up the clumps, distributor to level the puck and a good and heavy tamper.

    Hello, does the overall drink taste any different in a ceramic mug compared to a glass mug do you think?

    • @HomeBaristaCorner
      @HomeBaristaCorner  7 месяцев назад

      With a double wall glass latte cup, no need to warm up the cup and the drinks stay hot longer. Unlike a thick ceramic cup, you need to warm up. That's why cafe have a better cup warmer for their ceramic cup.

    after setting your own shot time/dose, does this still take into account pre-infusion? this may account for the higher end weight but the time doesnt make sense, unless preinfusion makes the puck loose reducing overall flow rate. i want to set mine but dont know how this takes into account preinfusion and thus how i found this video trying to find someone else who has played about with it.

    • @HomeBaristaCorner
      @HomeBaristaCorner  8 месяцев назад +1

      All shots includes around 7-8secs preinfusion time. Programming is about volumetric. Not 100% accurate but if you're lazy in the morning want to have a quick latte, this helps.

      @@HomeBaristaCorner so what your saying, for the better experience, manual shots but if your not fussed then preset times are good enough?

    • @dautolover
      @dautolover 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@BurtyHaxxI think that's what he's saying. It's also a good thing if you want to have the ability to do something else while your shot is brewing as opposed to standing next to the machine, nursing it to ensure an ultra accurate shot.

    I do two espresso shots but the volume of water used by the machine is set by me to make a coffee cup full does that mean more caffeine than in two regulate size espressos

    • @HomeBaristaCorner
      @HomeBaristaCorner  10 месяцев назад +1

      Double shot espresso ratio is usually 1 part of coffee grounds, 2 to 2.5 parts of espresso (in grams) depending on your beans, in 25 to 30secs. This is the ideal recipe.

    Can I ask about the model of the dosing funnel? I've purchased Bambino Plus and have a El Comandante grinder - coffee grounds stick to the jar because of the electrostatic effect and it's a mess to transfer it to the portafiler. I'd like to buy the right kind of dosing funnel. Many thanks!!

    • @HomeBaristaCorner
      @HomeBaristaCorner  6 месяцев назад +1

      What I have here is a 54mm dosing cup and dosing ring (Normcore). You can spray a mist of water to the beans before grinding to reduce the static issue.

      Thanks a mil!@@HomeBaristaCorner I've been making tests with different coffees and different settings, it's hard to find a perfect/consistent shot when you have different coffees at home.

    Not sure why though mine will stop the flow at the programmed time if the portafilter and coffee is NOT in the machine however if it is inserted, the button will run the extraction for ~50 seconds every single time. Take out the portafilter and run it 'empty' and it goes back to the 30sec I programmed in. WTF?

    • @HomeBaristaCorner
      @HomeBaristaCorner  4 месяца назад

      The program shot will check the pressure and volume out. Not by time.

      Not everyone speaks English. A lot of non English speakers are able to write and comprehend fine, but have trouble speaking / pronouncing.
