In season 5 he was this menacing calm and terrifying character that had a presence when he was on screen (especially when he was possessing Sam) But then they messed up his character completely from season 11 onwards. Like okay I can understand the jokester and was amused by him in season 7 because those are Sam's hallucinations but not the real thing and then...Season 11 happens. They make that hallucination the real deal and completely mess the character up. Michael was the only one who lived up to how terrifying Archangels were and then they messed him up in season 15 finale too. Like the Archangels can't take a break man...
All of the Archangels have an aspect of God's personality: -Michael is his zeal and holier than thou tendencies. -Lucifer is his manipulative and opportunistic behaviour. -Raphael is his wrathfulness and intolerance for dissent. -Gabriel is his fascination towards humanity.
-Gabriel’s tricks and manipulations he did as Loki could be seen as more childish verison of Chuck’s writing but Gabriel does because he playing a trickster and he finds it fun, you know who said that? Chuck, “I like front seats and you know, acting is Fun”
I wish Jared could play more Lucifer or other bad guys. He was good at it. Mark version was funny and scary at the same time, but Jared's was genuinely creepy. He did something that Mark just can't - play innocent, scared puppy and sadistic, powerfull monster at the same time.

the parallels between dean and sam and lucifer and michael at 1:45 are really interesting. i.e. dean/michael telling sam/lucifer that they are a monster

By the way excellent editing, I knew some edits with this song but now I am kind of addicted to it so I was search ng for new Supernatural edits with this. And now I found this beautiful thing, I will be watching till 15x14 airs I guess!!
The best video that portrays how powerful archangels really are, it would be really cool to have one of these of demons, angles, hunters. I keep thinking if Supernatural had bigger budget and better CGI and props like The Sandman than maybe we would have a whole new level of hell, heaven, purgatory and also if the hunters have such network like The Continental of John Wick, more organized and make money out of their profession (like the alternate!Sam and Dean) then wheww, we would have a very different ball game of Supernatural.
