I’m 67 and just recovered at home from a 3 week ordeal with COVID. The most important advice I can give is not to panic! People will scare the hell out of you, the result of which is heightened anxiety. The more anxious you become, the worse your symptoms appear to be. I had no respiratory symptoms, yet because of anxiety, was having episodes of shortness of breath. My symptoms started with a low grade fever and chills for 2 nights. Then came the body aches along with a terrible bout with burning skin on my torso and back. My skin hurt so badly that it effected my sleep. After a week, I lost my sense of smell and taste. The fatique was pretty bad the next week and I became depressed. In my 3rd week, I had nausea and diarrhea. After 3 weeks, January 31st, I started to go for short walks with my wife (who was sick right along side me the whole time). Each day, we walked a little more and breathed very deeply while outside. My taste has returned (she never lost hers) and we are both back to our normal routines. The biggest difference (for me) between COVID and the Flu was the duration of the illness and the multitude of symptoms. Just when you think you’ve turned the corner, a new symptom appears and knocks you down again. This causes depression because you thought you were home free.

the thing is that the vaccines specifically target the original variant and not alpha, delta or omicron. Though they still help with the severity of the infection...
I'm also triple vaxxed and had omicron in the last days and mild cold symptoms, starting with a sore throat, a mild cough, then plugged sinuses with a lot of sneezing and then a loss of taste and smell...

I find it’s important to take care of myself by keeping warm or cool and having a warm scarf near my chest. My son brought me a care package & left it at the door. At one night i woke up feeling like a car ran over me, huge muscle aches and fever along with chest pain. A week of feeling every inch of my muscles getting stabbed by needles, high fever, feeling like not getting enough breath etc. For the first few days i could only stay awake for like 4 or 5 hours, spent the week by sleeping and taking vitamin c which helped a lot. My symptoms were gone after a week but brain fog stayed for 15 days more afterwards i was fine. Taking rests and not letting anxiety hold onto you plays a big role on recovery. Stay safe.

Sadly after dogging the covid infection (chemical warfare infection), it's got me. I think I'm on day 3 or 4 possibly 5 I don't know.
Started with a razor blade throat for two days.
    Then feeling tired, unwell. Exhausted.
Boiling hot, then shivers then boiling mega mega headache. Body aches. with sneezing, painful eyes. Body aching hurting so much for 2 days.
Tummy pains. Loose stools for 2 days. No taste buds for 4 days.
Difficulty concentrating. Now stupid productive cough for two days. Shortness of breath for 3days plus.
Sadly I'm diabetic tyoe 2.. Asthmatic and have fibromyalgia and arthritis of the hips. My main concern is my breathing. Taking my inhalers ordered an oxygen reader. Got to stay away from my grandson and my partner who's got very little immune system due to a kidney transplant. Feeling very isolated and alone. I Won't go to hospital as last time my mum and dad went in they never came out. I lost my mum when I was 25. I'm now 58. Lost my dad 6 yrs ago. Plus, due to neglect, lost my 2 babies in birth due to negligence . I've one survive son out of 5 pregnancies. I think I'm scared if getting more brain fog as I suffer with ptsd and anxiety I'm an ex Army veteran. Good times. So close to Christmas but feels like I'm far from getting over these chemical agents. Nose is streaming since yesterday. Keeping myself apart from my son grandson and partner to protect them. Heads pounding. Sick of the foul taste in my mouth and headache. Give me strength!!!
Good luck everyone let's hope we kick covids ass and no long term effects... sadly my friend was on ITU the beginning of covid he has long covid and was in ITU for 6weeks he's never been right since. Way too many problems. For me my family know my views on ITU and machines for me is a definite No no. Seen it with my mum my dad my partner its not for me. I will get through this.

I tested positive June 24th, that day I suffered a low grade fever in the evening. But after that night the next few days I had zero symptoms until two days ago, July 1st, I started feeling fatigue and just no energy. Being diabetic and overweight, I tested my sugar levels and all seemed to be okay. I now worry and I read comments not to worry too much or cause too much anxiety because you could only make it worse. My doctor did put me on a five day pill (Paxlovid) as soon as I was aware I was positive. I read that Paxlovid may cause "rebound covid" where symptoms are mild and not life threatening.
I'm starting to realize that I may not seeing any kind of improvements for another two weeks (or maybe even more due to my health). Also I did three at home tests that all came back negative but taking my moms advice, I went to the clinic for a test and that one came back positive.

I’m 14 and I was tested positive for COVID-19 this morning. My family are thankfully negative, but the symptoms just seem to get worse and worse. I had a sore throat from 2 days ago, and my fever just seems to keep rising and rising. It’s also hard to breathe with my nose because with feels like it’s blocked and my mouth ends up doing all the breathing. I’ve never taken a COVID vaccine because my dad said it was dangerous and had major side effects. Well dad, look at where we’re at 😕

Day 7 on Covid. I had Pfizer but my last booster shot was almost a year ago. I regrettably did not wear a mask when I was moving out-of-state so I’m pretty sure that’s how I caught it. Which is so stupid of me because I wore my mask often when I was staying in Korea for three months. Like many people, I started out with a sore throat and fatigue. The worst was around day 3 or 4, when I had low-grade fever, heavy fatigue, and congestion. I think now I’m passed the worst of my symptoms, but I’m still going through moderate fatigue, some congestion, and the coughing. The laryngitis is the worst, so right now it’s not too bad. It’s been hard to eat because I’ve lost my appetite, but trying to eat because I want to recover quickly. Mucinex has been my friend, but honestly I don’t know how effective the vitamins I’ve been taking are.
I want to recover quickly, so sick of this already. I was set to start my new job this Monday but had to push it to next Monday because of this stupid Covid.
Edit: took two weeks to recover from Covid, a week more for my laryngitis to clear up.

I'm a 65 year old male, and I had my initial vaccinations about a year ago, but never got the boosters. A coworker's car has been on the fritz, and so I've been giving him a ride to work. He started feeling sick at the end of last week, but kept going to work. His wife tested him on Monday (6/6) and he came up positive. I thought I had dodged a bullet, because I felt fine all this time, and got a negative test result on Tuesday.
Then, on Wednesday, I blew my nose wrong and got that burning sensation in my sinuses which usually means something got stuck in there, and I'm headed for a sinus infection. I thought that's all it was.
On Thursday, I tested myself, fully expecting a negative result, but it was positive instead. Thursday and Friday were pretty sucky, but not as bad as I was expecting. I was feeling achy and fatigued, but that was about it. It's now Saturday evening, and I'm back to about 80%.
I feel really lucky, but also feel my diet and lifestyle played a big role in minimizing my symptoms. About a year-and-a-half ago, I cut refined sugars and carbs out of my diet, along with seed oils (Keto), and about a year ago, I pretty much went full carnivore (beef, eggs, butter, salt and not much else). I hadn't been sick one day during that time - until now. I'm going to go to sleep in a bit, and I have a feeling I'll be back to 100% in the next day or two.

I had to sit on the floor until my fiancé came and picked me up from work.
I’ve quarantined myself in the bedroom since then. I’ve been drinking tons of water and taking Tylenol to keep my fever down, I’m steady around 97-98 and checking every now and then. Tylenol has helped out so much with fever and joint pains.

Got Covid-19 twice, second time got it after being fully vaccinated and both times it was a moderate case- fever, congestion, was prescribed paxlovid 2nd time but didn't use - use over the counter meds like said in this video, of course we isolated for about a week, plenty of rest and hydration important- A family member also got it (unvaccinated) and we both recovered well.

Hey ,Im Pratyush Just 14 years old my parents got me tested today (RT-PCR) i think it will come positive report because my sister is suffering from covid , Me and my sister are isolated , So how much time it will take me and my sis to recover from it ? By the way our parents have got both the doses . Im getting fever like 100.3 or some 101 F .

The recovery period is different from person to person. I don't think this doctor here can fully say for sure when you two will recover. It also has to do with pre-existing respiratory conditions too and if you all have had your booster shots.

I have covid right now and it's not pleasant. You feel like you have mucus in your throat when you take a breath but when I cough its a dry cough. I don't have joint pain or headaches but I sometimes keep coughing because my throat is itchy. Your throat feels like it's been punched but I can still taste and smell. Luckily I don't have serious symptoms.

Same with me too! I tested positive on the 7th of June for the first time ever but I started feeling symptoms on the 5th. It’s the 9th today and luckily all I feel is a sore throat, body aches but no mucus since I’ve been taking 14 vitamins & medicine all day

I’m 13 and have both vaccines along with the booster. I got tested positive today using a rapid test. My heart dropped, knowing that I should’ve been more careful. I should’ve been more cautious and less selfish, only worrying about my health and thinking nothing of it because I’m “young” School is coming to an end, I am missing out on receiving the academic award that was only given to 4 students out of a class of 32 because of my reckless actions. This is completely my fault, if only I could go back in time to wear my mask correctly. Please remember to wear a mask, covid is no joke.

If you have COVID then isolate for at least 5 days. After 5 days if you still don’t have any symptoms, then you can come out but keep ur mask on and avoid close contact for next 5 days. After total 10 days you can go back to normal
