Like you not my favourite episode but the last line "because you f***ing shot me" is one of the best in the show.
the best part is you'd expect him to use "bloody", not the f bomb 🤣
I had to be reminded of his whiteboard plan to “get back at Daniel” because it was the same time Chloe got taken. Someone said if you look at the options on his whiteboard you can see this plan coming together….the last line made the whole episode worth it!
Yup. A lot of people forgot about that because there was a break between the two parts of the season.

Haha yeah the operation pay back Dan board. I remember i went back to check it out after watching this episode, and if I recall correctly he had a section involving bees. I highly recommend to go back and just check out Lucifers stupidly happy face when he completed it. Hilarious.
To think Chloe hadn't let Lucifer leave the snake in Dan's desk 😂 And I almost forgot about his entire plot that he written on the board.
I mean Luci did say he needed to think bigger. I'm not sure how much bigger things could get XD. Also, really wish I had enough money to just throw away on elaborate pranks.
That f bomb took me completely by surprise, I was laughing so hard I had to pause the episode. Definitely tears and stronger abs as consequences. Brilliant.
I was so confused watching this episode but at the end when Dan is shouting "one crazy thing after another..." I finally got it. Lucifers revenge 😂 Watched it again and now it's one of my favorite laugh out loud episodes 😄
We should not forget that in this situation, when Daniel shot him, Lucifer would have ended up in hell again, had he not become invulnerable (Chloe was close by). So I understand Lucifer's desire to get revenge

This episode really is one that needs a rewatch to enjoy it to its full extent. I enjoyed it the first time, but seeing everything play out having known what happens is even better
Lucifer admitted that he could predict that Dan would ALWAYS try to do the the right thing, even if Dan has sometimes failed, because of his human failures, in his quest to do the right thing. Replay when Lucifer REALIZED that. It was a major growth point for Lucifer.
he seems to need some celestial help right now! Even if Lucifer is planning a payback for that shot that we all know Michael whispered to Dan's ears
Once I grasped the practical joke part of it, I found this episode hysterically funny. Poor Dan!! Actually some parts were funny the first time around, such as Lucifer's impromptu therapy session at the bike shop, and Amenadiel's curt "I'm not an Uber." Oh, and Maze's laughter.
There are tons of Easter eggs calling back to previous episodes. You should watch it again, looking for them.
A pleasant diversion from the season's arc. Forward!
"Well, now you see that sometimes when you're trying to do the right thing, other people who don't deserve it end up getting shot". Lucifer was referring to Charlotte's and Rookie Joan's deaths for which Dan blaming him.
Lol, the only time I really felt sorry for Dan was when he believed that Lucifer had done all this TO HELP HIM
But it actually helped him lol 🤣

This episode is full of Easter eggs from previous seasons. I actually found 9. Here you go:
1. Dan waking up naked - he was in the same situation in s1 when Maze knocked him out and put to Chloe's bed 🤣
2. Girl escaped from Dan - girl escaped from him and Lucy in s3 ep25.
3. A dog - in s3 ep22 was case about the dog.
4. Improv group - in s2 ep7 Dan maked an improv on Lucifer.
5. Russian mob - also was in s2 ep7 when Dan and Luci were working together helping Chloe.
6. Head in the box - was in s2 ep10.
7. Poison - antidote : remember famous case in s2 ep 12 and 13, that included Chloe's poisoning, and Dan & Lucifer were helping to find the antidote?
8. The whole dialogue: "How do I look? - Pretty good, actually!" was in s1 ep11 but in reverse, when Dan came to Luci's place to prevent him to be killed.
9. Pudding cake - it's really obvious. It's Dan's favourite snack 🤣
Linda was also in this episode. Remember those other episodes that Linda was in? Easter egg.
Dan combed his hair at the start of this episode. Remember in Season 1 when we first saw him having hair? Easter egg.
So many genius Easter eggs.
Maze covering Dan with his own body like Charlotte did to Amenadiel.
It's so nice to see what Lucifer was doing back in episode 7/8 planning Dan's revenge just before he checked his voicemail. It makes one go back to check the Luci's whiteboards to see if any of those ideas he hatched made it into the final plan. ^.^

Dan has grown a lot throughout the show. He's my fav character because of it.
He hasn’t had the best writing, which pulls him back some but yeah
@@ninjanibba4259 no that is where you are wrong. He does have really good development and one of the best secondary characters to me. So does Maze. Their characters look very realistic, especially with their ups and downs and all the struggles they were through. They were in really really bad places and went through it, at least tried...
Look, character development had not always be in progress, like up and up. It has to have as ups as downs
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 I get that, but season 3 was the worst for Dan and Maze, it’s like the writers didn’t know what to do with them until the ending of the season, it was frustrating
@@ninjanibba4259 well I think they really did know. This is life, they made it real for them. Life isn't always a fairytale. Plus, as I said, it's normal to character development to get down, it doesn't mean regress, it's progress
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 so is it progress when Dan was always the butt of the joke of a character not to take seriously until season 3? Cuz he had potential in 1, I call that regression
Is it progress that Maze acted completely petty and childish towards Linda and Ameniedel even more than Lucifer in season 3 throughout?
I made a comment back on your reaction to one of the earlier episodes of the season (episode 1 or 2) that I just realized something but didn't want to spoil it. It was that all of this was on Lucifer's whiteboard at the very beginning of the season. I didn't even realize until I watched your reaction and saw it again, knowing this was coming. Kudos to the writers!
the episode with the whiteboard was episode 8 of this season 5. Dan shot him in episode 7

This episode is so insane, I figured something was up, but I didn't imagine it was a prank. I just felt like it was unreal and over the top. Not my favorite episode because I hate seeing Dan tortured like that, but still worth it for the final line. "Because you fucking shot me, Daniel" made me laugh hysterically. Lucifer has clearly been planning this a loooooooong time. Classic Lucifer. 😂

so knocking him out 3(?) times is safe for his human brain? flipping his car while he is in it is safe? sniping a tiny vial he is holding in his hand is safe.......I know it is just a show, but some of those things were real heavy crimes and I feel they only did the knockouts and some other stuff to trick the AUDIENCE and not dan :(
I’ve had seven concussions, granted not in the span of 6 hours. Also many people survive car crashes. And 5 million would make a lot of people do illegal things.

I know a lot of people like this episode. For me, this was the moment when the series crossed the butt monkey event horizon. Yanking the football away from Charlie Brown is one thing. But being gaslit, concussed, god-splattered , having the woman he loved being killed off...
I'm thinking that maybe the writers need to take some time off and go on a bdsm vacation.

I don't like this episode at all. Yes, Daniel made a series of bad decisions this episode. I still feel for him. And the reason for it all? "Because you f***ing shot me", doesn't make it better. Doing all that because someone tickled you? Lucifer, as usual, overreacted, IMO.
