After searching far and wide for something to match this sound you always end up coming back realising there really is no one that went this deep. Seriously so intrigued by the unparalleled genius of this guy.
I say now looking back it better that he made different stuff after this era as it shows he was not just a genius but a creative at work. He took rave and club music & listening to another place. One my fav producers if not my fav .
@@rdcreferent Exactly! I only ever heard them teased in for a minute in sets. They're obviously great as they are but I think they'd be even better with a baseline rumbling underneath. Or maybe I just don't get it!
That's because you're listening to this on a bloody smart phone with ear buds lol. In the nicest way back in the day all we had was simple decks, amplifiers and speakers. All analogue. The bassline is in there honestly. Get some vintage gear and listen to it on vinyl ❤ xx
@@Barry-fw1uj My dear friend, I bought this on vinyl back in the day and played it very loud many times through my amp and speakers. It's true the stabs have that low-mid presence and the kicks are very deep, but I really don't think there is a bassline. Also heard it played out but only teased over other tracks. I haven't played the vinyl in donkeys years though it's true, my decks are packed away
Absolute banger 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rupert set the pace almost 30 years ago. Legend xx

I love photek. Its hard to reconcile the shithouse house music after being so clean in the jungle genre. Broke my heart.
A man needs bread and butter
The House Music he made was very good. Solaris album was top notch. He had completed Jungle.
@BobbyMBoMor-z6s both of these comments are totally fair. I might go back and listen with an open mind
photek was the master
still is, he has diversified into making shite now but could make killer track's if it paid like his sideline does
This is the way
I think the Mandalorian could vibe to this 👍
Lethal !
Here to Bless UP🤘🏻
Deep roller
photek remixes himself
that sounds dirty
@@inquireorhack that's true he makes some wicked nasty tracks he is a really dirty mann
he does that all the time, but i’m definitely not complaining.

...BADASS!!!
Love this tune and the other side but always wondered why they don't have basslines
I always figured they were meant to be mixed on the long ride as window dressing for tracks with heavier baselines 🙃

Because of his obsession with simplicity at the time. The register of the percussive melody provides both the melody and the power of a baseline.
