It’s still winter and we have snow on the ground, but we had a couple of 60 degree days and I’m just itching for spring to get here 🌸❤️

You should use frosting to bind your cakepops together.
I did use the icing on the top, is that what you mean?
@jodidunnmymessylife1847 no, that was melting chocolate. You use frosting, in the tub, in the cake crumbles, like glue to hold it together.
@@jodidunnmymessylife1847Frosting as an ingredient into the cooked cake bowl mix is what most baking companies use no need to use vanilla and powdered sugar if you use frosting!

Frosting helps bind them together. I just made a bunch for the baby shower for the new grandbaby!
You have to put chocolate on the tip of the bamboo skewers before poking it into the cake that way it doesn’t go through the cake but you did it and the kids loved it. That’s the most important thing.

When I've seen people make the cake pops that way, and not using a cake pop mold, they usually use frosting to bind the mushed up cake together.
The trick with cake pops is to add icing to the cake and then mold
After Christmas I leave the snowmen & smaller trees up during January. Then I put out red Cardinals through February. Since Easter is early this year, I will do Spring in March.

Mix the cake with some frosting next time and then roll into a ball. Makes them stay together. Makes me want to eat a cake pop!!!!
Thanks for being "real". When we made cake pops for a wedding, we made the cake balls one day and then put the icing on the next day. It worked out well.

I make my cake as directed. Let cool, crumble cake. take half a container of frosting & mix well. Form into balls, freeze then dip…

I have made so many cake pops, and even when you are prepared and have everything they can still be a little challenging. A little icing or cream cheese work amazing to bind and you can slowly and gently melt your candy melts if they get hard 💓👏🏽 but how sweet that you made these for the girls and thank you for sharing with us 🤭😁💓👏🏽

Frosting.. you can add frosting to help the cake pop bind.
We have not winter in Texas,, so we are not ready for spring or the summer that will follow. Speaking of, more humidity can make a cake more moist. So in winter where you are less humid outside and inside, make sure your house is more humid.
I enjoyed watching the cake pops recipe. I bought a cake pop maker years ago and it was a disaster as well. I guess that's why they are so expensive at the store. I donated my machine after my second fail😂

Hi Jodi, watching you make cake pops and laughing. One of my former coworkers used to make these and they were so good and looked so cute I thought I would try them. Mine looked much worse than yours and I swore a lot.😃 My son only uses distilled water on his plants. He gets as excited as you about plants.
I loved the way the bookcases came out, you definitely have great vision. You are responsible for my many floral arrangements. Weather in Denver has been crazy too.

You are right. White surfaces look lots cleaner than dark ones. I wish all my furniture was white because the dust doesn't show on it.

I always like your decorations, no difference this time! I thought the pink pillows were cute, but I'm glad you recognized that you don't like it right away. I probably would have decided to sleep on it and then felt like it was too late to return after forgetting about them for days etc. And I love the cake pops! That was a really cute idea, and I'm sure the girls were super happy about it. I think I remember you saying, when you first decluttered, that you would mainly keep books that matter to you. Do you have a memory associating with the dictionaries on the shelf, or are those just in case/decor? I have sentimental lexicons and dictionaries that I can't part with lol

I prefer to do Oreo cookie balls. No baking required! They are so good with the mint or peanut butter Oreos!
Maybe with the cake pops it’s how you make the cake that helps binds it together? Meaning a super moist cake might help? I seen people on RUclips add an extra egg to a cake mix and butter instead of oil etc. Now I want to try to make cake pops!
I’ve watched so many videos since making them 😂 I think I might have over baked it. My oven tends to run on the hotter side and every video said if you over bake it won’t bind correctly. I’m gonna try again with baking less time ❤️

Hi Jodi. It’s cold here too. Had light snow last week. I decorate for mostly all the holidays. Soon as Xmas comes down valentines deco goes up. Now I have St. Patrick’s stuff up. Easter next. Not a crazy amount like my Christmas deco but just enough. Lol
We are taking a little week vacation before we start back to work for the season.

You are soooo real. Styrofoam would have worked better. They may not be the best looking, but they are cost-efficient. Maybe mini muffin tins for the pops.
I don't decorate for spring. It's in the 70s down here in southern Kansas. A few trees are just beginning to bud! And green leaves of the tulips have popped up. Planning a trip to Yellowstone National Park this summer. Every thing looks great!!

Next time you make the cake pops add cream cheese!!! It adds an amazing flavor and does the trick to make them creamy but sticky consistency.

I didn't actually mind those dusty rose pillow cases...maybe the girls could use them in their rooms? I love the new plant!! Omg!! The purle on the back is gorgeous!! I've seen people add some icing into the cake hold them together before they dip them.
I want to say they used part of a store bought can of icing then melted the rest a bit to cover them, but the holding the cake together worked better than covering them in the icing.
Hello Jodi - live the living room with all the spring touches! We too have been having crazy weather - 6” of snow Friday and tomorrow it is supposed to be 70!!! CRAZY - but I do like spring like weather. I am not a summer girl at all - hate, hate hot weather. I telll all the young girls I work with, “one day you will understand why age and heat don’t mix well!” LOL have a great week and hope you receive some really nice weather as well.

We are having amazing temps here. No snow! I love your spring decor. I decluttered a lot of my decorations because I was really tired of them. I need to get some new things but, I haven't found anything I want to spend money on! I am sure I will soon. The plant is beautiful. That would be something I would love to have but, my cats won't leave them alone so it's best not to temp them! LOL!!! Have a great week!

Use upside down empty egg carton to stick into. Poke hole with skewer NOT KNIFE.
My dropoff point is up near my Drs so I have a collection to drop off this week when I go.

I have been going through pictures to find grandparents and great grandparents on both sides of my family i already have my husband family side on my walls would also like to do a family tree on a wall 1 day and put little frames with everyone pictures so with do this hopefully it will make it easier to do it 1 day
