?
@ you did not have the books in camera view
@ ohh ok shoot. That was an error on my part then. First book is the 2020 NEC. Second book is the 2017 Key Term Index (RCW/WAC)
What state do you live in?? In California they don’t allow us to text with tabs
Washington state
Can you bring you’re own book for the test in Florida ???
No idea.
How long did the test take and how many questions were there???
40 questions on the NEC.. you get 2 hours. And 17 questions on the WAC… you get 1 hour.
Cali the test is 110 questions and 4.5 hrs
Bro I was wondering, I'm in Kansas but can you highlight it and write inside the nec textbook?
Over here in Washington your allowed to highlight only.
In Hawaii they give you a code book, you can’t use your personal one
In texas you can't write but you can highlight in your personal code book.
California bans all tabs on books. They provide the book. Also… your recommendation of bringing other books… also you cannot do in California.
Man.. the more I hear about cali and their rules the more I’m glad I don’t live there. My brother lives in Cali and it’s nice to visit but that’s about it.
@@Redeemed_Team Thing is… remember there are good and bad about every place. The pay in other states is absolutely ridiculous. Past that… I’ve lived in at least a dozen states, it is more expensive here but the pay is just much more viable.
@@Redeemed_Teamit's the same here in Colorado
Prevailing Wage here is awesome in California.
Already you can’t use ANY TABS in the test
You can use tabs in WA.
Anyone know about florida???
What about Florida?
I know guys who have been doing this for 20 years and still can't pass the darn test I pass it in two months study
Great job man! Well deserved!
What did you study? Any book recommendations
Are you able to take the test online from home?
Unfortunately you can’t. You can only take this test at the testing center.
Everyone would pass
@@Icebreaker9 lol true
Hi, I hope you’re doing well. I watching your RUclips. Can you do me fever please. I need 309A journeyman, exam C&Q please.
I don’t have that one sorry
2 months aka 60 days is mandatory to wait for the next test. if you fail
In Washington it’s 2 weeks before each test if you fail. And you get up to 3 tries. If you fail after 3 times then you have to wait every 3 months to retake the test.
In Iowa, you get 5 fails. After the 6th fail, you can't retest. Forever an apprentice.
@@TeachMeHow2Douglas dang!!! That shouldn’t even be a law! So unfair.
@@Redeemed_Team I just looked up DPS code. Apparently, after your sixth fail, you reapply and are brought before the Examining Board and they make the decision to allow you to retake or forever apprentice you. That in itself makes taking the test even more nerve racking. Lol but not really lol stuff.
@@TeachMeHow2Douglas dang! Lol
you don't explained it well.. are we in 210.50? or 210.52?
I don’t understand your question sorry
Me either lol
Oh he’s wondering about what 210.52 says because 210.50 states that “….12 or more…..must be in accordance with 210.52”
You say journeyman....in tn it's an LLE
You can use the key term book in the exam?
Yes, I live in Washington so that may vary per state.
Texas doesn’t allow index
Dang :/
🎉

I'm an Electrical Engineer seeking to pass the Elec Administrator exam. These tests are similar, should I be able to pass if I study 8hours a day for 10 days?
Yea you would. I haven’t even studied that much time. I did around 2 hours a day for a couple weeks. Once you start answering a few questions from the exam prep book you will start to get familiar on how to find what you need using the keyword index process. I bet you can even pass it your first try.
Honestly it’s a title that isn’t deserved by everyone. A good test taker who can read a book but knows nothing on how to do anything electrical is wack. It’s always been a scam.
I understand the frustration. There are great apprentices out there who do great work. We call them master apprentices here in WA. lol
Has anyone taken the Maryland journeyman exam with psi?
Good question. As for me I’m not sure. Hopefully some knows.
@@Redeemed_Team Psi has like a breakdown of what they will ask in the exam it says , definitions, theory including ohms law, techniques, trouble shooting, instruments, materials, math conversions diagrams, symbols. I don’t know what to study for when it comes to that section? Any suggestions? Did you have this when you took your test
@@davidcespedes7805 I just really focused on ohms law, services, grounding and bonding, mostly for my test here in Washington.
@@Redeemed_Team do you remember what videos you watched for ohms law
@@davidcespedes7805 I typed ohms law on RUclips and click on the first one I saw. Then clicked on a few more random ones. They all showed the same thing. I don’t remember the channel name it was a while ago. But I watched like 4 different ohms law videos and they were all the same pretty much. Ohm law is easy to figure out. It’s just basic math. Much easier than I thought.
Lol you remind me of my plc professor Timothy Cordova but younger
lol 😂
You get a book that’s not yours
What state do you live in?
CA
@@Redeemed_TeamSame in Colorado they don't allow you to bring in your own book
😂😂😂❤❤❤
❤️
I’ve seen journeymen who can’t even strip wires or bend conduit
I’m currently training to become an 01. Currently learning pipe bending.
It don’t matter that’s why they have you guys (apprentices) to do their work
@@Daniel_8926 haha
@@Redeemed_Team check out holmz law. Thoroughly explains conduit techniques and mathematics
Tabs are for the weak
lol
Took it and failed
Keep trying you’ll get it
man i have taken it 3 times and have failed all 3 times by what looked like one question ):
@@luisanthony2300 ruff, you can do it don't give up. I'm not gonna
@@luisanthony2300 I failed the first time by 1 question then passed the second time by 1 question. I know how you feel. If the test wasn’t timed you would have passed. It’s the time limit that gets people the most. Don’t give up keep trying. I have friends who have taken it 5 times, and 1 who has taken it 6 times.
Do you need rcw/wac for Californian?
California should have their own RCW. It won’t be a wac because wac is for Washington only
