I don't know anything about the celebs or anything regarding similar players, so I won't say anything about that. However, I believe the community's concerns are valid, and "toxic" might not be the best word. I put a lot of work into making renders, art, and mashups and now that the server is gone, all that hard work is gone too since Splash chose to close it with no warning or future notice 😕. Since the server is gone, I don't even want to make videos anymore, the Splash team could have at least given us a fair warning with timer or a set date to prepare.
edit: forgot to mention a few more reasons this sudden shutdown was uncalled for. The community (for free) did so much on the team's behalf, such as having to transcribe the pack lyrics, especially for those that are in other languages.
From a very positive community to a toxic community even to the celebs and even the people that got paid was just saying bad about plash is sad and i hope the new community wont be as toxic as before

Should I be honest? First, I can understand Splash got a limit of what celebs does to game. And I found why Splash decided not to add Celebs anymore. I have no idea what kind of bad conversation between Splash mod and Celebs did, but as I hear that I got extremely mad at celebs are using what they've done to Splash as a threatening weapon. As Adrian said, it's hard to delete their packs and remove celeb roles, I understand. But, the power to delete packs is on Splash. As I see each celebs did to Splash to be celeb, I think there's no crucial effort to leads to famous game excluding what Vix did(Developing club system). Most of them were the first something in the game. But if they fire celebs for being toxic, would it effect the game that much? I don't think so. Celebs consider Splash as a teamworker whose status is lower than theirs not vice versa. Even they're paid monthly so they behaviour more toxic. Also, I always thought that Splash competition is corrupted, Celebs win too much. Espensically in Genre mix cempetition 4 of 10 winners were celebs, and 80% of celebs won the competition. I thought there were much good performances there but why? (p.s. It can be not and it's my subjective. But it hear about it, I can naturally think like that.) If they announced us that "This celeb was too toxic to our game too much so we decided to fire this celeb and delete their packs", Splash discord server wouldn't die, and we who truly love Splash would understand. No one blames Splash because they fire toxic celebs. Splash never took an action about it so celebs does toxic behaviours severer and eventually Splash discord shut down. Second, I can't understand why they shut down without any announcement. At least they announced the shut down of Splash App and Splash Pro with shut down date but Splash Discord? No news, it was sudden. Of course everyone got confused, I communicated in Splash discord with people at morning and after P1, it got shut down I thought it was bug at first so I kept reconnecting my school wifi and rebooted Discord. I hoped it was my school wifi problem. But it was Discord shutdown. Third, There're no plan of countermeasure. I mean Packart of render, Competitions, Events, espensically ticket system. Others are okay not to be here but at least they should've said the plan of countermeasure of ticket system. If there's toxic player who is wandering Splash and derserves ban, where do we report? The method of reporting players disappears. To metaphor, all polices in one country got deleted on one day. If there were no polices, country system'd be broken. This corresponds to Splash too. There's no Splash mod to help us so Splash will have much more toxic players and a lot of players will leave Splash. There's few chance, but I hope Splash Discord server becomes public at its earlist convenience. Thank you Adrian for uploading this video and helping me to know what happened.
i feel your words, i have the feeling they just saw good acting and care in server and choosed then celebrity, but they dont watch what doing people in game, for care and feel well, and defent diff . Players, for help when they lost in game, or just the fact , what time we Put in this game , so many hours, the game would not exicst whitout us all . heavy , just heavy . being a celebrity means for me, i help the people in game (like adri or cap) and means not, iam quiet ..to being a celebrity, means i have a big heart, and act fair and kinda, most the low rank players. i can wrote a book from what i think .
well out of everyones name you mentioned vix so wonder why, plus you're right majority of the winners are always celeb but maybe try your best to outshine the ones whos already had influence in the first place instead of complaining again i left splash to not get involved with drama but dont randomly bring someones name just because they won comps everyone worked hard from where they got and you have no absolute right to call out someone, ps reading this was blinding but again theres no more splash so who can stop me doesnt really matter doesnt it?

This makes sense. There was a lot of negativity spreading around as people copied others. (Primary General and Threads I saw) The devs were always professional even when the community wasn't.
Everything this man said is valid. me as an og, splash people in 2024 is just insanely toxic. At that point, i had no hope on splash anymore so i quitted from the community.
It is understandable but I want to think that it was a decision of last resort because the community became unstable at a certain point and Splash was unable to deal with the problems But it's hard to believe they were so extreme about this. I think that another factor that played against Splash was the number of projects that opened only to end up closing after a few months, see hq, the app, beatbot and now pro These are things that made their community angry. We know that Splash's goal was AI, but starting to sideline its community did nothing but increase discontent. We just hope they are able to keep the game optimal so it doesn't have performance issues
Sad to see the downfall of this game and community I’ve been here before the splash universe update and dance game basically I’m a old gen so I’ve just been watching this game and it’s downfall from a distance since I pretty much quit a few years ago and I’m on and off
Im honest, i leaved the Server before, about i feelt always ignored, what ever i tryed, comps for Radio, championsships, not works, im sure much feel the same way like me, kinda unfair acting in my eyes . In Radio so many guys, i have not one singl song in ...in past was all better, then good Clubs gone be delited, the Splashapp is delited, the best App, just sad all, now hate me for my words , it dosent matter , im just honest and Put at last my heart out.
I can agree with this, the only reason I stayed in the splash server was cause I was a beta tester. Besides that I never talked on the server, mostly used it to find my friends discords if i meet them on splash
I relate to this so much actually... I left the splash server so many times because I felt ignored... But I always kept coming back, just to not talk much...
It's not just the celebrities is a large part of the community unfortunately and it's not fair to others but others fail to realize nobody wants to play a game where u get treated horribly for trying to enjoy the game! I love this game and have tried my hardest to make it fun and safe for everyone to play and I will continue to do my best to keep it fun for everyone its a game not a competition.
But i will say I've joined your club a few times and there is a ton of toxic talking that seems to go on in there with nothing done to stop it so I leave .
Thousands of people has dropped and stopped/quit playing Splash Music BECAUSE they have also removed the ' Band Camp ' and ' band Battles '. They are also dropping out because of other thing's too. i mostly played the Band Battles and Band Camp and the DJ stuff but mostly the Bands. Now they have removed the Bands and that is why i recently stopped playing it. if they do bring back the bands, i will continue. (For a notice, thousands of people also do cheat in the game and use alts and friends to purposely help level themselves up alot faster. i'm probably wrong on this but that's what i think ok)
It is unfortunate that the rest of us celebs have had to be punished despite our loyalty.. 💔 I hope that this change will result in a better outcome for the game itself! 🫶
