Definitely not the most beginner friendly song, or at least not the way I did it. I probably could have just done 1/16 notes instead of 1/64 for at least 90% of the song without a noticeable difference
not to toot my own horn, but the part at 3:18 nearly drove me insane. There were 2 drum tracks playing over each other, with slightly different bpms. So instead of setting it to a specific bpm, I just used the pause events to wait a certain amount on milliseconds. I had at least 5-6 pages of me writing out the exact time each sound had to be played in order to do this.
i was already very extremely impressed, but then the part at 2:20 came around, and i was in awe. all the different pitch changes and tone changes you seem to have picked up on and i think thats a very hard thing to do. youre very talented (dont think i didnt see the symbol at the end. nice touch!)
I’d love to take full credit but I did use some (a lot) of external help for the piano. I used an audio to MIDI converter for all the piano parts, but it would mess up the note timings and sometimes miss/add on a couple of notes. For timing, I would just slow down the audio to 1/4 and estimate where it would fall. Then I would compare it to the original and adjust until it sounded good enough. This still took many hours to do though
