Cool video, I'm currently working towards becoming a pentester. I've been subbed to the channel and watching lots of videos, reading books, scouring forums, and even landed an IT job and summer internship in-between classes.. Any tips on CERTS and which CERTS you went for first? What was the breakthrough point for you when you'd finally knew you were "IN" the industry? Did you start as junior?

As for certs, if you're looking to become a pentester, the #1 cert to get is the OSCP. It's required for almost every job out there in pentesting and really well recognised in the industry :)

What is the difference between a penetration tester and an ethical hacker
Do you ever use the SOC reports or say like the Supply Chain/Cloud assessments to help on scaling?
If they have a SOC, absolutely!

Working from home is possible sometimes depending on the client, but most often it’s onsite work. Really depends on what the client wants to be honest

I’ve been thinking of possibly becoming an ethical hacker in the future but I wanted to ask are there any downsides or things you don’t enjoy about it?
There are downsides to every job, for sure, however as you might imagine I love this industry quite a lot. I think the major downside of the industry as a whole is the initial learning curve and restriction on experience that is required to land a job.

College is great, but certs are a good choice too. Which route you take is ultimately up to you!

I want to ask u sth. Some months ago I was chatting with someone and he sent me a link which I clicked. What if it’s an ip grabber? Can he find out my house address? How can I see if I have clicked an ip grabber?
It could be an IP grabber - there's no way to show if that link was an ip grabber, other than to protect yourself in the future.
I am 13 in grade 8 atm and I have gotten interest in becoming an ethical hacker for google. I am learning c++ as the first programming language and have already learned how to do math and variables. What else should I focus on to become a good ethical hacker?
If you're looking to get started with programming languages, python might be quite useful for you at some point. Looking into learning the fundamentals of cyber security would be a good starting place too. Best of luck mate!

I have learnt Kali linux ofcourse. Metasploilt better cap airmomg ng air and all the essential suits. Am I ready to start freelancing?
Probably not - there's a bit more to it than just having skills learnt from udemy, to be honest

Expunge? Like, remove it entirely? uh no. They can probably assist with an investigation into why the felony was placed in the first instance so that lawyers can do their job

@@dccybersec I was told that ethical hackers aka white hat hackers are hackers who legally practice hacking to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in any target systems with the same knowledge as a malicious hacker.
I was told that an ethical hacker could legally expunge any records.
I just want to know everything I need to know before I even consider attempting to get my record expunged.
@@SWEETMAN57 The first part is correct. Ethical hackers look for vulnerabilities in target systems. They require a scope from whomever the target is with approval to look for vulnerabilities in those target systems.
The second part is complete bullshit. Your federal felony is not a vulnerability.
Talk to a lawyer to get your felony argued in court.
