The first Deception vid is what got me to sub to you guys. You did a much better job with pacing this time, Great vid!
All those boxes of Candy Land...but Deception looks like a fun game. Reminds me of Avalon (and I"m sure a bunch of other similar "there's a traitor among you" type games).
I love how they guess erics clues so quickly.
You guys should add a last time highlights to future game night sequels. Especially if part one was a while ago, I think it would help and be entertaining. Love the video, and watching you guys play board games.

I'm pretty sure the forensic scientist isn't supposed to talk since the way they say something can give away how confident they are in the choice they picked, like the way Eric says "it's pretty common" makes it clear he wasn't just forced to pick something. Then later he says something was his "only option."

Guys with the exception of the location and cause of death you aren't supposed to pick the tiles! You shuffle them and draw randomly. You can see at 16:50 Arin is straight up choosing a tile, which breaks the game.
I took it that maybe that was the effect of the event he drew with the initial tiles (draw 5 tiles and pick one to replace this tile or something), we never read it and he took it off when he did what he did.
@@EvanSawyer4 Oh you mean the extra tiles from the expansion? Even if that is the case I still think that's way too powerful to be honest.
@@NaniBu It's what i thought when i saw it, but admittedly i don't know if such a tile even exists so i could be wrong. And yeah, I agree that it would be too OP.
They were playing with event tiles. Its called "Useful Clue"

Just after the first round I thought to myself "having Shane as a murderer could be interesting". What should I say? He just became the murderer. Haha.
I usually play with a random location tile as choosing the location tile makes it significantly easier for the investigators and the investigators already have such a good success rate in my group.
That Calvin got the combination was just hilarious because the built of the victim would have told me absolutely nothing.
And the last one killed me. Right after Eric claimed no one would get that connection, it would be ridiculous, Rick solved the case :D

Didn't Eric mislead them from the beginning of Game 2? I thought the Air Conditioning was supposed to be the cause of death and the powder was just an additional clue. But he made it seem like the powder is the thing that caused the death (the poisoning/overdose scenario).
Not the case, blues are means and reds are clues.
@@EvanSawyer4 Okay, thank you! I had it backwards from the beginning and it threw me off wondering why he spent so much time on the powder. lol ;)
@@UatuOmega No problem. I mean, usually red means blood/murder so I get it.
And also "blue's clues" was a thing so, really, the developers had a missed opportunity there to make the whole thing more intuitive if they had just switched the colors.

Eric was far too focused on the powder when they already were making it clear they thought powder drug was their best option for poisoning. He needed to focus on the air conditioning.
Seemed to me like he didn't have any thing that could point to that until he got the victim's build card.
The cards wouldn't really let him point to the air conditioner

It would seem that the blue cards should be the clues and the red cards for the means. The fact that they switch them in the game is initially jarring
Do you mean reds are means and blues are clues and the BlindWave guys got them mixed up? Because that's not the case.
Do you mean there is a prior version of the game where reds are means and blues are clues and the developers of this version "switched" them? I find that unlikely but I could be wrong.
Or do you mean that since red usually means blood/murder the developers should have gone with red for the means? I suspect it's this one but "It would seem that..." is throwing me off.
@@EvanSawyer4 in my version of the game, red was clues and blue was means. I don't know if they corrected it in a later edition but I remember my game group getting confused by it because of how we subconsciously associate color. Minor nitpick
@@spiderfingers86 Got it. The way you started the statement threw me off on what you meant but I agree. Since there's also "blue's clues" being a thing, switching the colors would have made it more intuitive.
@@EvanSawyer4 I ultimately got rid of my copy because my group always wanted to play Mysterium instead and I have plenty of social deduction games with a traitor.

Suggestion to the editors!
It's really hard for new viewers to follow who anyone is talking about. Please start adding name cards across the bottom during the solo interviews. I often have no idea who people are talking about during interviews, and it's a total guess trying to figure it out by context clues. Either this, or just have everyone introduce themselves at the beginning of every episode, or just add a quick name card below every player at the beginning of the episode.
