Eric: "Calvin tends to argue, so I'm gonna see if I can get him to do that." --> *It immediately works* Oh Calvin. You even KNOW who the bad guys are this time lmao, how do you still fall for it. Also, let me get this straight; Rick, as the Bodyguard, knows Calvin is the commander - meaning Calvin knows who the spies are. Calvin says he doesn't trust Aaron. To the bodyguard, that should pretty much be a crystal clear signal that Aaron is a spy. And yet, Rick still put Aaron on the final team?
This was absolutely brilliant. Eric and Aaron are master manipulators. The irony is that the bodyguard's knowledge worked against him here because Eric immediately jumped on Calvin and managed to get Shane on board. Shane eventually figured everything out, but by that time Aaron had clued himself into Calvin's identity and victory was assured for spies.
Eric's Machiavellian machinations are hilarious lol. I don't know who edits these game night videos, but could you PLEASE add dramatic red or blue lighting and that dramatic music from Death Note whenever someone's doing this much scheming? "Just according to Keikaku"
23:45 "I'm pretty fucking sure it's fucking eric and aaron, trying to FUCKING FUCK ME!!! IM POSITIVE!" "BUT THEN AGAIN CALVIN" lololololol i love this so much!
I think with 5 people it’s better to play without the expansion, at least minus the bodyguard. Too many roles that know all or some of the other players with only 5 people gives too much away.
Approving and rejecting the mission should have been done publicly, not shuffled first. It is designed that way to distribute more information to players.
I wish when people did playthrough videos that they actually know the rules. Knowing how everyone voted when picking the Team is critical to figuring out who could be spies. Without that knowledge, the Resistance has an even harder time winning than they already have.
Also, easy trick for figuring out who the bad guys are: if they ever try to get a 3 man team to go without them on it, they are either a bad guy or an idiot, because it's a guarantee to fail if that person is a good guy.
Even today basically my favourite hidden roles game. But I think that 5 is a bit less for the game, I would say you should have 6-8 (with 7 or 8 you have the added benefit of having all the plot cards available). And if you play with 5, then DO NOT USE the assissination module. Even if the spies have no clue who it might be, they still have a 33% chance on a wild guess.
You guys should play Coup, unless I'm mistaken it's set in the same universe as this game. It's become my friend group's go to on our Friday board game nights. It's quick to play but at the same time can get really deep.
From what I can tell, I could be wrong, but I believe the voting for whether the mission is approved or not is done publicly. Therefore, you know who liked the mission setup as another bit of information for the resistance.
Yep from rules “When all players have their selected Vote Token ready, the Leader asks for the Votes to be revealed. All players flip over their Vote Tokens so everyone can see how they Voted. “
@Blind Wave Have you guys thought about releasing two different Edits of the same game? One with spoilers where you tell us who is on which team with the interviews in between and one where it is hidden for those that like to play along at home and guess who is on which team. Think it would be fun to watch it straight the first time without knowing and trying to figure it out and then watch the other video after to see all the strategy that went into the decisions in the side interviews.
Why go to so much trouble? They could just state at the beginning of the video “If you don’t want to see who the spies/ resistance players are, skip to ...” Also, making 2 separate vids splits their views.
yeah, but the asides where they all talk would still reveal their role, so you can't just add a note saying 'skip to here if you don't want to know who is who'
This G&S camera talk thing feels so weird xD but glad you guys are doing this! I think you guys should add some royalty-free music in the background of the talks next time, but not all that loud. Just something to set the mood
In this kind of games, you need to show us how did you guys find who is your friend or enemy, how did aaron found that eric was also a spy and calvin knows about you two.
Danilo Neto They do the classic players close their eyes then certain players open their eyes and put thumbs up to indicate who they are to the appropriate players
Rick messed up in the end, the right play would have been to Reject his own pick, knowing that if he picked wrong then either way the two Resistance members who know they are resistance would vote it down and the pick would get rejected. He pretty much should have passed knowing that he had imperfect information and that the votes would continue to get rejected until it got to Calvin who he knew would have the right information and choose the right people and then he could approve.
The rules state that you can't reject your own mission (and on that note, they're playing it wrong anyway - not sure if it's a house-rule they're playing, or a misunderstanding, but the voting tokens shouldn't get shuffled, you should get to see who voted what, the tokens just make sure people can't quickly vote count before casting their votes).
does anyone else think Shane was way to mad and really annoying like " I swear on my wife and kids " like thats not fun at all its just annoying but everyone else was fine and really funny.
Swearing on you children's lives etc really has no place in bluffing games. I once had someone bet 1000 dollars that he's not the bad guy in a game and that obviously ruined the game
Problem with secret hitler is that if a fascist law gets passed, you still dont get any concrete information about the allegiance of the president and chancellor because they could very easily have drawn three red policies. In the resistance, at least you can get some factual information even if it doesn't completely reveal their affiliation when a mission fails. Secret hitler adds too much ambiguity which favors the bad guys too much imo.
Much like when Deception was uploaded on game night, based on the run time, I was expecting a few different games to be played, not just one. Oh well, still fun to watch, hopefully you guys will upload more Resistance videos in the future as well so not just one and done!
I love it when we know whats going on and who's on who's side; and watching the crew manipulate and screw with each other. It makes it that more hilarious and entertaining
Ethio King how about just releasing two versions a spoiler one with the cut scenes and one without that way e can decide which version we want to watch. It would just be the same exact Video with the Cut scenes removed so would only take a few additional minutes of editing on their part and we all win, well except the losers of the games of course.
@@anthonyd.8067 if blindwave wants to, i dont have any problem with it. But i doubt it will happen. Most people like the current version of the boardgames
Shane should've been more vocal about the final team, since he knows if Eric is a spy, 1 spy is in the team and he'd lose. If he was, Calvin could "agree" with Shane, effectively telling Rick that Shane is innocent, rejecting Rick and Eric, then Calvin putting Shane and Rick on the team, then hoping Aaron chose wrong.
Just a couple suggestions: Put names next to each person so viewers know who players are talking about. It was hard to keep track of who is shane, who is calvin, etc. Also put the mission track board in the upper corner or something.
Awesome game, but I don't really like this expansion, personally. I would've rather you guys just played the base version, or used a different expansion, if there is one.
I’m sorry guys, but you are doing the voting wrong. The rules state that all players reveal their votes simultaneously, so that everyone can see how they voted. This is a major way of finding out information. Randomising the votes is just weird and makes no sense. Also, it’s not in the rules.
Eric: "Calvin tends to argue, so I'm gonna see if I can get him to do that." --> *It immediately works*
Oh Calvin. You even KNOW who the bad guys are this time lmao, how do you still fall for it.

Aaron was gonna choose Calvin to assassinate so it didnt matter anyway. Feel like Aaron picked up on that “I agree” too lol.
This is one of the issues playing with only 5 people. It significantly increases the likelihood that the Assassin can find the Commander.
6:48 Calvin immediately starts to argue like eric said he would and eric cant help but smile at how easy this is. 😂
32:26 Rick "Calvin was not pushing me back that hard"
Calvin 27:34
I could not stop laughing. More games like this. Funny shit.
Eric's Machiavellian machinations are hilarious lol.
I don't know who edits these game night videos, but could you PLEASE add dramatic red or blue lighting and that dramatic music from Death Note whenever someone's doing this much scheming? "Just according to Keikaku"
lol so true
Wolf6120 and now....i will EAT A POTATO CHIP! Dun dun duuuunnn
I feel like hidden voting makes things easier on the spies.
I've only played Avalon but opening voting is the norm there.
I laughed so hard when Calvin gives Rick the clue to pick Shane and he still goes for Aaron. 🤦🏾♂️😂😂
23:45 "I'm pretty fucking sure it's fucking eric and aaron, trying to FUCKING FUCK ME!!! IM POSITIVE!" "BUT THEN AGAIN CALVIN" lololololol i love this so much!
This was so fun. Do part 2
Damn. Shane took this a little to personally.
I think with 5 people it’s better to play without the expansion, at least minus the bodyguard. Too many roles that know all or some of the other players with only 5 people gives too much away.
Clearly not, the resistence lost
Approving and rejecting the mission should have been done publicly, not shuffled first. It is designed that way to distribute more information to players.
Was going to comment this. But good to see someone else said it.
No, it should be shuffled
@@mhmdmstpha not what it states in the rules. It's done publicly
I thought you spoke about failing and succeeding a mission
I wish when people did playthrough videos that they actually know the rules. Knowing how everyone voted when picking the Team is critical to figuring out who could be spies. Without that knowledge, the Resistance has an even harder time winning than they already have.
Calvin literally said not to trust Aaron in the last decision and he knew that Calvin knew who was good and bad. >.
i would have never thought that I would love any Game Night but his was very enjoyable! Dam, you all are killing it!
i laughed so hard the whole time lmao
Also, easy trick for figuring out who the bad guys are: if they ever try to get a 3 man team to go without them on it, they are either a bad guy or an idiot, because it's a guarantee to fail if that person is a good guy.

Yes the first vote is supposed to be public.
Correct
Not just the first vote.
Yep from rules “When all players have their selected Vote Token ready, the Leader asks for the Votes to be revealed. All players flip over their Vote Tokens so everyone can see how they Voted. “
The best hidden identity game ever.
I love this game so much fun playing with friends is great
Rick pick Shane or Aaron, Red team still wins because Aaron knows that Calvin is the commander and he can assasinate him in the end
The thing is...if Rick knows Calvin is res, and the mission fails, Aaron is a confirmed spy to him. Shane and Eric cannot be two spies together.
I want all three of these paper people
@Blind Wave Have you guys thought about releasing two different Edits of the same game? One with spoilers where you tell us who is on which team with the interviews in between and one where it is hidden for those that like to play along at home and guess who is on which team.

"SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!"
this game in a nutshell.
Good stuff
I prefer the Avalon variant because I'm a Fantasy nerd. But, I still enjoy seeing people play this game.
And in my experience, the game works best with Assassin, Commander, no BG, and with 8 people.
In this kind of games, you need to show us how did you guys find who is your friend or enemy, how did aaron found that eric was also a spy and calvin knows about you two.

Just in me ~
:D Great game, guys.

I would enjoy game's like these adding in more people. Mel or otherwise
still waiting for part 2 >_

As someone who played this game. It always seemed like a lesser, quicker version of secret hitler. Enjoyed it. But not as much as secret hitler tho
Wait a minute rick knew who Calvin was but said he still thought Calvin was a spy in his decision?
he didnt mean Calvin, just a mistake im pretty sure
The guy on the left has turn into the red team at the end. I mean look at his head!
You guys should play Funemployed. I think you’d enjoy it. 😁
24:11 Shane's face is so intense!!
This game reminds me of Mindnight
FINALLY!
Much like when Deception was uploaded on game night, based on the run time, I was expecting a few different games to be played, not just one. Oh well, still fun to watch, hopefully you guys will upload more Resistance videos in the future as well so not just one and done!
So this is basically Mindnight irl right? The rules sound familiar
Another game please 😀
Play another game, but this time dont let the audience know which side you guys are on lol.
I love it when we know whats going on and who's on who's side; and watching the crew manipulate and screw with each other. It makes it that more hilarious and entertaining

Never trust Aaron
- Rick
Play mansions of madness

Just a couple suggestions: Put names next to each person so viewers know who players are talking about. It was hard to keep track of who is shane, who is calvin, etc. Also put the mission track board in the upper corner or something.
facebook36 most viewers will know who they are it’s only the newbies that don’t know
this is the first video by them that I have seen and I learned their names pretty fast.
Do you guys need to shuffle the 'YES-NO' Votes also ?? ...
This is good but when RWBY?
When superfight part 2
Awesome game, but I don't really like this expansion, personally. I would've rather you guys just played the base version, or used a different expansion, if there is one.
"That also means that even the bad guy voted."
No duh its the first round. That means absolutely nothing

Where is the hellsing abridged ep 9 reaction guys !!!!
I need a reaction to lion king please!
Do mafia ! :)
Btw, I like the office style camera narration. Nice touch.
