In my opinion one of the most overrated films of all time. It wasn't never a masterpiece. It's actually quite bad, but the idea to shoot in green screen and the visual effects were excellent for the period that it was made. The score was memorable and *some* of the performances were excellent. But the was far too close to the comic to make it really stand out on its own.

If he was amoral he would have used his strength and ability to get whatever he wanted. He could have worked for the Roarks. He could have used his skill to take from the weak, or make money as a hit man, or bodyguard. He would never take a job helping bad people, and he would help good people for free. It actually kind of makes me sick that people don't see that. A man like Marv has too many morals. He died because he was an upright, moral man. He gave up his life to correct an injustice to someone he loved.

I remember listening to this (allegedly downloaded off of Limewire) song walking to a blockbuster three miles away in a snowstorm to rent a ps2 game. My motives might not have been smart, but the drive was never in question.
Sin City one of the best comicbook movie ever made. Every time I play this music I'd like to walk in the streets in a cool jacket, smokin a cigarette while I carrie a Colt in my holster, and then blow apart the bad guys like the characters in the movie.

This is a comic-book-turned-movie done RIGHT. Not only did Sin City have flat-out grungy badass eargasm tunes, but IMHO the movie was truer to the original source material than any adaptation of its type that I'd seen. Right down to the screenplay, B/W with bits of color here and there just like the comic. It also helped that every actor and actress chosen for every character was perfect for their role. Cliff's Notes version: I really loved this movie and hope to see more like it.
An insanely good movie, I was a big fan of Sin City growing up and IMO they captured the style perfectly although they should have cast someone who isn't afraid to show some skin as Nancy, as far as following the novel goes. Mickey Rourke was AMAZING in this film he was perfect for Marv! HAHA I'm going to go watch this movie right now :P Cheers
