Its one of the funniest things to me that when someone does machining, we end up making more tools for ourselves than projects sometimes. I'm half caught in that at the moment in College wanting to make tools for my box when I get a job. Screw jacks, gauges, organizational items, vises, etc etc etc. The list goes on and on
Not unusual for folks to set up a machine shop and spend all their time making tools and jigs- there is even a magazine for them… Whatever floats your boat.
