I installed these on my classic vibe Tele about a week ago. The hardest for me was removing the old bushings. Putting stress on the neck didn't seem like a good idea to me. I rigged up a little crude jig with a c clamp and small socket. I was able to press out the bushing. At first I thought I was going to have to do the same thing. All I did was take a slightly larger drill bit to take off just a hair. It was like counter sinking when you drill. I did it by hand and just removed a hair of wood. I didn't even have to do the whole hole. So I am glad to have used the Hipshots. Way better than the stock tuners. Plus I could remove the string tree. Good video and I think you have a new luthier/musician in training. Good to see a young person having curiosity in your guitars.

Yeah I didn’t need to remove too much wood. These tuners have totally transformed this guitar though. It was scary taking out those bushings though.
They do just drop in most cases.
Of course I get the lemon.
@@efxloopjaybyrne I think they are just supposed to go in snug.
