Installing HIPSHOT LOCKING TUNERS On A Squier 60's Classic Vibe Strat
I was on the fence about getting one....and then you played the Kids in the Hall theme song...have to get it!!
Everything you talked about here is why I no longer will buy anything from GC ever again. I recently gave them another shot when I read the new CEO was making big changes. Until GC offers customer service and tech support like Sweetwater, I will not shop there.
Swap the pods and cap, sand the neck.
Im content being a blu ray collector
I have mostly blu ray in my small collection of physical movies. I have a few 4ks like for the Dune movies or Top gun. For the majority of movies a blu ray is fine. I never want to have a collection too big but for the ones I know ill watch multiple times.
I’ve “accumulated” stuff over the years. 😎
Hi, Happy Holidays. Enjoy collecting. I been buying. Selling, collecting since age 14. Now 61. I collect TV and Movie Memorabilia, lobby cards, posters, etc.
Hello, is this amplifier with tubes or with transistors ? Is this a good quality amplifier I mean about the sound ? What kind of sinus power has ? My son is playing on Dave Murray Seymour Duncan picups installed on a Fender Stratocaster and I am interested to fit with this amplifier. Let me know please.
I would go with a Boss Katana Artist Gen 3 over this one. It has built in effects and is gigable if he forms a band. Definitely an amp he could grow with. The Nextone if finicky.
@@efxloopjaybyrne thank you.
Im 54 and still collecting movies since 1984
The 1Spot power supply is great and is dead quiet.
Thanks for playing loud. The little cabinet doesn't have the thump for heavy distortion.
Bright guitar tone for me but then one of my guitar heroes is John Sykes, Gary Moore etc.
G5427??
The 27 are Guitar Center exclusives. Basically just a 20 but exclusive finishes.
I have been trying to hunt down a movie poster I saw displayed at a theater years and years ago. It really freaked me out as a kid. This would have been between 75-77. I don't remember what the movie was,, but it was a horror movie. As I remember it, there were pictures and text down the right side of the poster describing people who went crazy from seeing it. I've looked online but I've never found any answers. Did you see anything like this when you were making this video?
No sorry but i will keep an eye out. Sounds cool.
I love Squirm!! And that poster is epic. Just love it. It reminds me of old black light posters :)
The Maniac poster is one of these rare birds of exploitation cinema, where the poster delivered exactly what it promised.
No, not your only amp. It's a foot pedal with amp and speakers. Great for a dedicated sound. But you need an Orange tube amp for the gain and overdrive. No pedals needed
You can disagree with me, but I think there are certain pedals where the tone surpasses that of a natural gain regardless of the amp, like the Moth Effects P. Isabella for example, I've never heard a tone that sounds quite as glorious as that pedal, I am a pedal elitist after hearing it in person ((my friend has one)) everyone who plugs into his setup is like "wow I need one now" .... arguably the best green russian clone out there :)
Got one on Reverb for $400, after a pro set up its pretty much as good as any of my Gibsons.
The Artist is great! Use a pedalboard for overdriven tone etc….Great gigging amp
I agree with all of your comments. I have three of these.
I think this description is wrong. There's no way it's a solid top. It has to be laminate. There is a reason why Washburn and retailers never use the words "solid top" for this model.
I don’t have a lot of gear experience, and I’m sure it’s not always the case, but it seems analogue amps want to see analogue signals. Maybe the mixing of digital and analogue signals muddies things up. P.S. I’d hate to be your tech lol 🤣
I’d love to have a tech. Lol. Yeah your on point there. That’s what I’ve come to realize but my most recent and (please let it be so) keeper rig sounds pretty sweet. I’ll be making some vids about it.
Fluff? Music is Win? Rhett Shull? (among others...) I feel like A LOT of them do this. I've toyed around with the idea of starting a channel SPECIFICALLY for the mediocre guitarist Where Squiers are played through solid state amps...
Do it man. I’d watch. I think 60 cycle hum is cool for being down to earth. There are channels out there. Funny thing is like fluff and Rhett is who inspired me to do this channel but I do feel they’ve lost touch with their original audience a bit.
What originally made me start watching your channel is the gear you use, and your good taste in horror films. I feel like you’re down to earth, and relatable.
I try. Although I feel like I am constantly changing gear. But I guess that’s just what we do. Thanks.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
Definitely NOT a repackaged Harley Benton. The fender is the only power supply currently available with 500ma to each isolated output. This is unique, and will allow you to power anything on your board. No more low power issues, or making choices of which pedal is not important in your chain like with the 100ma power supplies.
Once I was happy with my gear I hardly watch You Tube guitar channels now. I left the cult !! Well done on your channel and your songs.Which is what I feel people should do more.Write Songs ! Most You Tubers become sales people.
Had a great Halloween. LOL.
I've actually never seen this side of guitar RUclips before. Sounds like people showing off million dollar mansions or something when you just want to see normal people's house tours or home improvement tips. Maybe I'm just not rich enough for the algorithm to feed these RUclipsrs to me 😅.
Hi… good “rant”… and yes we did have a good Halloween!
good job explaining
I can not figure out how to get this to work ive legit spent year trying to download install and I have yet to get it to work suckks
That sucks. Have you tried downloading the drivers seperately? I think there is an option for that. Then you download the software and it may work. However, I did have issues with it working on certain computers.
@efxloopjaybyrne yea currently trying again just stuck on saying make sure usb connected
Neil Young and Steven Stills played these hollowbodys in the early days.
Filtertrons are humbuckers too FYI. Really like your video!
Hello, I'm writing from Argentina, I was going to buy an epi SG400pro but now, after your video, I will go for an Epi Sg Standard, thank you very much for your help.
I have this amp.. With all due respect, at 22:28 you mention "The normal channel does not have the bright cap" From the Fender website, "The amp model has been modified to remove the virtual bright cap on the Vibrato channel, which gives modern players greater tonal flexibility when using distortion and overdrive pedals" The normal does have the bright cap... Just don't want to mislead anyone. Phenomenal video otherwise. Thanks for the tips
Hmm, not sure about that. I was referring to the fact that the Normal Channel on a "real" Deluxe doesn't have a bright cap. Never did. That's the reason why people use that channel for drive and whatnot cause it handles them better. Now with the updated firmware you can remove the virtual bright cap from the vibrato channel which some prefer cause that allows you to use the reverb and tremolo which is not an option on the normal channel. So, what my confusing statement is trying to say is that you could use the Normal channel if you didn't want the bright cap even with the stock firmware you just wouldn't have reverb and tremolo. You could use that channel as a flat out pedal platform channel if you wanted. I do prefer the vibrato channel though. Something about it just has more life to it.
You should do the same test but at the SAME VOLUME. You are raising not only the watts, but the volume too. I play at 70db or less due to tinnitus but it's a good practice to all. You don't want this.
Best tip. SELL IT and grab a real pre 73 Vibrolux. You can really trust this tip.
I was hoping to see a review of Fender Engine Room LVL 8, but I quit watching when this moron divulged he wasn't familiar with Thomann being a 70 year old well respected company, but only that they own Harley Benton. His opinion is worthless at that point as he clearly doesn't understand that the same company making similar product at different price points and quality levels. You're probably the kind that tries to get a USA Fender for price of a Squier "because Fender owns Squier and they've made some instruments in China." Go look in a mirror, as you are the problem.
Upgraded mine first thing with a Wilkinson bridge 😊
Can you use a regular mono instrument cable or does it have to be stereo (TRS) to connect to a mixer single channel?
You probably could and it would just sum to mono or give you like the left channel only. But for stereo you need a TRS to whatever your input situation is cable.
Got it online at a discount, but the wait is killing me rn
I know the feeling I just bought a true bypass loop switcher from this company called American Loopers. they make to order so now I have to wait for them to make it before they even ship it. I'm not a patient person. Lol.
I want to say something, even though this video is a year old. I have searched many many times for Tone Master Deluxe videos on RUclips because I am considering buying one. I have entered that into the search at least 25 times in the past month, and scrolled through so many videos. I do not understand why RUclips won't show me ALL videos with those words in the title. I just found this one. I know there is probably more but why isn't it showing me all search results. Very unfortunate for smaller creators to get views.
So true. It’s near impossible for small creators like myself to get people to see our videos. The algorithm is a mess. Plus it seems like RUclips wants you to pay for its promotional tools now. Oh well I just keep chugging and maybe someday it will just happen.
Great amplifier. Can you recommend me one or 2 tube amplifiers different brand 100W, I have a separate cabinet 4x12 inch speakers 8 ohm and I want a very good tube amplifier 100W.
We’ll I’m loving my Orange Super Crush 100 but that’s solid state. You could go with a Rockerverb if you wanted tube. I think a modern JCM 800 would kick butt. That’s tube. Now if your looking for something more budget conscious you could look at Blackstar. I’ve never played one but I’ve heard great things about the more recent ones. I think the Peavey 6505s are pretty affordable and I’d love to have one of them. That’s all I got but I hope this helps.
@@efxloopjaybyrne thank you so much.
Got mine at Sweetwater, so it was set up perfectly. No issues. I love it!
Great review, thanks!
I'm a tube amp purest at heart, I purchased a Boss Nextone Special because everyone was ranting about how close it came to tube amps. My experience is that isn't even remotely true, it's a decent solid state amp but can't hold a candle to a good tube amp.
While I thought the Katana can get tubey I didn't feel like this amp did that well. Like you said it just felt like a decent solid state amp.
Yes I agree I think the Katana amps sound much better than the Nextone amps even if you are a tube amp person the Katana's to my ears sound better and a lot less $$
I hear Blue Sky type reverb trails?
I think it was a boss DD8.
I got one four years ago, from Sweetwater. Came set up great, and it has the coil splitting which honestly I don’t use much. All the hardware is fine, I haven’t replaced a thing. This is my favorite axe of all.
Great review, you've helped me make my decision between 40 and 120 🙏
LoL, you did the same exact thing I did, I just bought the streamliner hollow body and love the way it plays but not crazy about the broad Tron pickups and didn't realize it was just like another humbucker sounding guitar untill I played it at home for a while. I'm going tomorrow to trade up to either the EM 5420t or the 5427t so I can get that classic twang. Yours sounds beautiful.
