Hey guys, phantoms isnt my favorite anakin movie, but it deserves all haydenheads' respect all the same. Thank god they are still making these KINDS of movies!
Upon looking for 133-minute movies specifically, I was a bit skeptical to check out It's a Wonderful Life as soon as Gregg said that it's a couple minutes shorter than the Phantom Menace, but thanks to his expert recommendation I will check it out anyway!!
I like a hundred and thirty three minute movies but we don't have as many ballparks here in Australia, so my family and I just watch them at the cricket but we turn our televisions upside down so we have that authentic North American experience.
Thanks Gregg AKA the Ultimate film buff. Definitely gonna do a Christmas double feature- "It's a Wonderful Phantom Menace"- the perfect Christmas pairing!
113 minutes. Honestly you’d would expect more information out of someone who calls himself “a film buff.” Twister was also released in 1999, another fact Gregg or any real movie fan should have known.
I can’t believe how brave George Lucas is for filming and cutting Star Wars 1 to be 133 minutes long. Kind of an ambitious goal for the first movie, don’t you think? I’m glad he was so brave to do it though otherwise the subsequent films might not have been ever made and Star Wars wouldn’t be what it is today.
Is Greg on Cameo? Ive never paid one red cent to Cameo or anyone on there, no offense to them. Greg, I would pay for a Cameo. On this Cameo, I would request his take on movies I like.
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace is the most disappointing thing since my son. I mean, how much more could you possibly f*** up the entire back story of Star Wars? While my son eventually hanged himself in the bathroom of the gas station, the unfortunate reality is that the Star Wars prequels is that they'll be around. Forever. They will never go away. It can never be undone.
No he’s actually right. They were made in order of the episode number and then were subsequently released in a strange order due to the cronies over at 21st Century Fox.
You might not have seen it, but actually the full title of the movie is Star Wars Episode 1 - A Phantom Menace, see the episode 1 bit should give you a good hint that it was the first Star War- film to be made in the series we all know and love today. :)
Gregg thinking they filmed Phantom Menace in the 70s and it just “sat on the shelf” for 30 years is amazing.
the VFX quality is really all over the place
This was perfect because I love movies in the ballpark of 133 minutes.
I’m more of a 2 hour 13 minute runtime fan
It's the sweet spot of cinema
the type of movies where you get off work and fire it up and then its time to go to bed at the end are my favorite.
@@dolph3578 It's a film bluff blessing!
@@refoliation That's too long for me, 133 minutes is perfect.
What a treat for Christmasheads
God bless this comment
That "hey guys" was bone-chilling
It really has that 'you've been kidnapped and the chloroform has just worn off' quality. It's a 'tip of the hat' to all of us horrorheads.
@@MelancoliaI perfect
When you got movies like Anikan Skywalker and the whole Star Wars gang in them, you cant lose.
The ULTIMATE Christmas movie!
I was always surprised that Annyken dodged Oscar
Honestly one of the best "Hey Guys'" of all time.
It was a scary one!
Awkward and creepy, yet subtly welcoming
It’s great to be reminded of classics like Twister
You can say that again, fellow movie fiend
I can't believe how many years The Phantom Menace sat on the shelf
Much like the original jaws 2 (close encounters)
it didnt, this guy doesnt know what hes talking about

Wow nice recovery with that Twister tidbit - the master at work!

This is of great interest to all the 133 minute run time-heads out there.
I like how Soul Plane is presented front and center in your archive. 🍿 🍿 🍿 🍿 🍿 💨
The Phantom Menace really is the Gone With The Wind of Star Wars movies
Gregg never fails to make me happy, overjoyed at the idea of hearing more thoughts on older film.
I always wondered how that guy in Airport '77 got his start.

the real film bluff bessing is that you shared this piece of cinema expertise with us!
The Phantom Menace is my #7 film in the 133 minute length category
Where does in rank in your Christmas movie category?
All i need is one “It’s Movie Time!” intro and I’m motivated for 2023. Thanks for the information, AND expertise! I also categorize films by length.
Gregg is genuinely the best comedy voice in about 40 years, how the hell does he not break during this performance
Gregg always impresses me with new ways to be wrong that somehow you know you couldn’t argue with him about
I missed this update from Gregg over the holidays but I'll definitely take a look at Phantom Menace 1 next holiday season
Fascinating to see James Stewart, most famous for his star turn in Airport '77, cut his teeth in an early role in It's A Wonderful Life.
Thanks Gregg AKA the Ultimate film buff. Definitely gonna do a Christmas double feature- "It's a Wonderful Phantom Menace"- the perfect Christmas pairing!
Man I friggin love 133 minute movies
That was a special Hey Guys. Really strong.
Film bluff blessings all around!
a wonderful life and phantom menace: kinda a perfect xmas morning. lol!

Congrats you guys !
Star Wars Phantom Menace is now Star Wars 3P
Sort of a stream of consciousness kind of review 💯
Any 133minuteheads in here?
Can’t wait for Christmas
It’s not a Wonderful Life until Gregg reviews Solo.
can I get a runtime on Twister?

I "Can't Hardly Wait" for the next film discussion.
“Okay, you're Boba Fett and you're Grand Moff Tarkin.”

Lost Highway is one of my favourite 133 minutes movies. Hasn't cracked the top 5 yet but I haven't watched in a few years now.
1st of the star wars movies to be released according to Gregg.
I'm such a wars head! When you hear about movies like J.Cagney in them you cant lose
Good to know a movie's length
A Spielberg classic
God he's great.
Anyone can become a film bluff, but it takes a special mind to become a film historian
Great film bluff buff expertise blessing
I'm legit racking my brain, wondering if maybe there really IS a link between the Phantom Menace and Christmas lol
Twister is definitely a good tornado movie. Hot take but I agree

The ultimate christmas movie.
Remember Twister is another movie about tornadoes

Why did RUclips recommend this to me? I've never searched for Phantom Menace related content ever
The power of Gregg Turkington’s expertise is far greater than the RUclips algorithm.
