also the firing thing is it's special move the charge particle cannon. the strongest attack in all of zoids. and he's got three. one on his mouth and 1 on each back claw arm.
DankLord Popim Nope. The strongest weapon in a Zoid is a Gravity Cannon. It can literally crush anything with immense gravity and only a few Zoid can wiyhstand its raw power.
Joeie Rivera nope the gravity cannon couldn't even scratch the deathsaur's shields. but raven's heavily damaged Genobreaker succeded in destroying the deathsaur's shield. if it was fully repaired it could have finished the job with one charged particle cannon.
Because it's plot power. The republicans were almost destroyed when the empire deployed their Gilvader forces... and they are all equipped with Gravity Cannons.
Lastly, Death Saurer is not that powerful anymore thanks to Madthunder forces of the Republic. It can literally walk upfront to a Death Saurer firing its CPC and it won't give a fuck. From what I know, the Gilvader was more of a threat since they have yet to find counters for the Gravity Cannon, until a certain Zoid came that is faster than the Gilvader.
a new zoids series o.o this is new to me,i can't wait to see it and i hope it gets dubbed as well and as for this old tomy toys.i loved them as kids but this zoid was one of three main bad zoids that i never was able to get ahold sadly. i missed out on this and deathsaurer.but i did have the dark scorpion and loved that kit.though boxed i still have it and all the ligers that ever came out in my addic and after watching this i might bring them down again for the fun of it lol
Man! I wish I kept all those old ZOIDS I got from a toy store that went under. Got them dirt cheap and they provided hours of fun for the kids at the time. I miss them now. Great review!
I found my motorized Liger Zero not too long ago and I was thinking about painting it up, but half the parts no longer stay attached (its been in a box for 15 years) and I'm afraid that gluing some of those parts on will interfere any of the limited articulation.
Makes me wish I still have my collection of Tomy Zoids kits. I have the HMM version of the Fury. Pretty awesome kit with its details, articulation and features, but its legs couldn't hold the weight over time so it just slumps down like an old office chair.
I built a 1/72 Gun Sniper the other day. Got it at a yardsale for a dollar, so I don't wanna complain too much, but the kit kinda sucks. It's like a way cheaper version of the kit you reviewed. Instead of an electronic motor, it has a wind up motor that only sometimes works, and there are seam lines and defects all over the kit. I definitely know what you meant when you said it feels like a bootleg. I actually had to look at the Hasbro and Tomy logos on the box multiple times to make sure it wasn't a bootleg!
Zoids are 1/72 scale, so put one next to an HG and imagine the Zoid being half that size. Yeah, Zoids are TINY compared to MS (Ligers barely coming up to waist-height!).
Still most Zoids are pretty armed anyway. Despite other Zoids such as Berserk Fuhrer/Fury or any Genosaur I would be aware of them despite that size difference a particle cannon as thier main weapon of choice. Its also rare to find Zoid series in Crossovers such as Super robot wars games, only Chaotic Century and Genesis made it so far.
MaxHD2490 Avenger While it is true most Zoids of all kinds were equipped with beam weapons or laser machine guns, their effectiveness against MS would be limited, since their smaller size would likely mean smaller output, meaning you could pepper MS with holes using a Zoid weapon, but it wouldn't penetrate very deeply, I'd imagine.
Shin Chan unfortunately what LaGowe and any similar lack is something called a Zoid Core which basically makes just about every Zoid alive. That might explain the super robot genre idea which otherwise you assume Zoids are Real Robots which quite confusingly hard identify. Gundams and other MS are Real Robot barring G-Gundam which is Super Robot instead with very few sentient like Gundams as well few AI Mobile Armors but that's a different story.
I love this kit. I’ve ended up with 3 different ones - the original, the Buster Fuhrer, and the original Sturm Tyrann. And the reissued HMM Berserk Fuhrer arrived yesterday.
Hey guys i have a question, i like to buy a hg model kit and i got two options: the hguc silver bullet (its pretty cool and tall for a 19.00 dollars) or the hg hi nu gundam (a really good kit for 22.00 dollars), wich one should i get?
Zoids was my gateway drug into model building. I probably still have a lot of them somewhere. I had the huge Brontosaurus kit and managed to slice my thumb cleaning up nubs and had to get stitches. Zoids took my blood!! The Kotobukiya ones might be interesting, perhaps I will pick one up if its cheap.
This is a super simple kit and it's a beautiful purple color. Omg o wanna get this so I can use the battery pack part on my old one or not cause this one is nice and can't wait for the new show
Depend on what will you do with the kit actually. If you are the type who likes to play around with your kit, frequently changes it pose, swooshing it around the room then playline toys are better for you. If you are the type who build the kit, maybe add additional color separation or detail on it, then put it on your shelf and enjoy it with just looking at the detail, paintwork, and overall shelf presence then the more expensive ones are worth it.
Very happy to see the classic Tomy line get some love, even if it was by accident on this channel! I grew up with these kits as a child, so Zoids mean much more to me than Gunpla over the course of my life. They were meant to be used as toys, due to their impressive durability and interesting gimmicks! Kotobukiya HMM's are more of the "MG" equivalent in Zoids; high detail and articulation, no motors.
Oh yeah, the the Tomy kits are definitely some variant of polystyrene, as I have used plastic cement to great success in reinforcing wind-up kits from the 80's! Although I will say it takes quite a bit of cement applied before you get a noticeable "welding" effect.
New century zero was my favorite series. Hope you review more HMM kotobukiya kits from this series. I'd recommend the Lightning Saix or shadow fox. Both are very good and love the look of the Saix.
Ohh yeah, I remember leaving the batteries in my childhood Death Stinger for over a decade- when I opened it up in 2016, man I gotta say it was a *lot* of work to clean out the explosion inside the chamber XD
CISsuperdroid is the pilot ok? Also i thought of a solution if this happens again deconstruct the kit and grab the affected parts and wash those Obviously. Dry them and put it back together😝
I have the same kit myself but mine has some pretty stable joints. There are even some joints that are too tight and I had to file some pegs just so I don't risk breaking it when I move it around. The only sloppy joint I have is at the base of the tail but it can still hold some poses as long as the tail isn't weighted.
Zoids nerd mode activated! Its called the 'Charged Particle Cannon' Mode when it opens up its tail vents and mouth cannon! And this one though fat, is more anime accurate compared to the scrawny kotobukiya fury :) this model is sadly a lot more durable than the hmm az well imo. Looking forward to the hmm review man! Keep up the awesome content! (Fury is from the Zoids New Century series btw! Chaotic Century is another recommended title but doesnt feature the fury.)
Great review brother!!! This really brought back some fond memories. I may actually have to hunt down some of these old kits and I look forward to the new one's as well as the anime. BTW how long did it take you to build this Nazi Death Machine?
Looks like a kids toy and not a fighting robot this zoid is like a wild horse and the ligeris the same not just anyone can fight in them because they picky lol
Problem is that I suck at building the HMM ones so these models are easier.
This was apart of my childhood and i loved putting these together i need to buy some now
I’ve just got my tomy Berserk Fuhuer, a tomy Kai Ryushien Gai-Liu-Hsien, a Liger Zero and a bunch of other parts and instructions from an opshop.
I got one of these for a birthday back in the day... But I played with it and can't remember what actually happened to it ☹️
pls review Geno Ritter from Tomy also
also the firing thing is it's special move the charge particle cannon. the strongest attack in all of zoids. and he's got three. one on his mouth and 1 on each back claw arm.

Looks better than I thought it would

COOL
remember watching this series as a kid, man i always got late to school because of it
I remember getting the Hasbro Redlar kit in 2004 for my birthday along with Toa Onewa.
looks great and you build this kit so fast
@6:57 I didn't realize it does that! It is so fucking cool!
My brother built the Iron Kong and that thing was impressive (back then). Although it’s not Kong I’d give this to him as a gift for nostalgia.
how the heck did you get a hold of this?!
Where can i buy these?
Man! I wish I kept all those old ZOIDS I got from a toy store that went under. Got them dirt cheap and they provided hours of fun for the kids at the time. I miss them now. Great review!
Zaku do you have extra kits
What does “extra kits” mean? 🤔
That waddling's pretty cute lmao
New century zero was the zoids series on toonami I believe there's a blu ray release of it coming this year
Mad Habit, please say that’s a real thing that’s going to happen
ricky it was in a article I was reading for upcoming blu ray releases of anime also saw a Gundam 00 release as well
The controller is aftermarket and it lets you walk it, I have one somewhere.
Would love to see a comparison between the two
the Zoids Blox line has articulation due to not having motorized gimmicks.
Vust Valeo Same as ones that are not motorized
Don't have any Zoids,I do have some weapon add ons though which are highly recommended for adding to your gunpla.
I reminder having this model. Zoids models and the tv show was what got me into modeling and Gundam.
I used to love Zoids as a kid. Awesome to see model kits for it. :)
funny how i just got a gojulas giga yesterday.
I found my motorized Liger Zero not too long ago and I was thinking about painting it up, but half the parts no longer stay attached (its been in a box for 15 years) and I'm afraid that gluing some of those parts on will interfere any of the limited articulation.

I have the HMM version of the Fury. Pretty awesome kit with its details, articulation and features, but its legs couldn't hold the weight over time so it just slumps down like an old office chair.
I really hope the new show sparks a surge in zoids models.
After seeing this I dug mine out and cleaned it to put it on one of my displays.
always been interesed in zoid but still unsire wich one to get , so many different types and variations
I loved that show
I built a 1/72 Gun Sniper the other day. Got it at a yardsale for a dollar, so I don't wanna complain too much, but the kit kinda sucks. It's like a way cheaper version of the kit you reviewed. Always wondered how big are Zoids compare to a Mobile Suit?
Zoids are 1/72 scale, so put one next to an HG and imagine the Zoid being half that size. Yeah, Zoids are TINY compared to MS (Ligers barely coming up to waist-height!).
Still most Zoids are pretty armed anyway. LaGowe & Gaia, end up using this units on gundam games bcoz of zoids
Shin Chan unfortunately what LaGowe and any similar lack is something called a Zoid Core which basically makes just about every Zoid alive. That might explain the super robot genre idea which otherwise you assume Zoids are Real Robots which quite confusingly hard identify. Gundams and other MS are Real Robot barring G-Gundam which is Super Robot instead with very few sentient like Gundams as well few AI Mobile Armors but that's a different story.
what! a new zoids show xD! heck yeah
The name makes it sound like the Angry Downfall Hitler meme...
You'll like the Kotobuki model, I believe from putting it together. Want wait.
I love this kit. I’ve ended up with 3 different ones - the original, the Buster Fuhrer, and the original Sturm Tyrann. And the reissued HMM Berserk Fuhrer arrived yesterday.
Since its been like 12 years for Zoids must be pretty hard to get a hold of a Zoid kit.
MaxHD2490 Avenger Yep.Even the Death Saurer that was as expensive as HG back then now has the same price as a PG...
i loved this thing.
i had one that I added articulation into after the motor died.
Hey guys i have a question, i like to buy a hg model kit and i got two options: the hguc silver bullet (its pretty cool and tall for a 19.00 dollars) or the hg hi nu gundam (a really good kit for 22.00 dollars), wich one should i get?
i love your reviews i dont even like zoids just love watching you talk about model kits the snoot seam line made me chuckle and that wasnt even a joke
Nice review! I used to have a bunch of the motorized zoids models. It definitely tickles my nostalgia.
could a red gundam ride it?
Samurai samurai samurai buyyyyeeerrrrrr -Edups
Never did watch Zoids but this design is awesome. The way the tail opens up is a really cool feature. Looking forward to the HMM review
Dear Zaku , may I ask what kind of rotating plate you are using for this video? Thank you! Great stuff as always!
Just one usb outlet powered one I got online here in Korea
I can't wait for the new Zoids toyline, it's been so long since I was excited for playline toys.
Lol still waiting on that hmm review
Me too
I had a wind-up Zoids Hellrunner as a kit and yeah as I remember the plastic does feel cheap as compared to Bandai's
kinda wish takara /tomy will reissue this older motorize kits model :)
How well did it walk without the boots?
More zoids please!
I prefer the Gairyuki and the Jagd Fury. Though Jagd Fury is not released... too bad since it's like the Panzer to the Fury.
You should get the Kotobukiya HMM Strum Tyrann, it's basically a berserk fuhrer with geno breaker weapons, modified head and a red color scheme.
Omg o wanna get this so I can use the battery pack part on my old one or not cause this one is nice and can't wait for the new show
Ryzearn That's why Playline toys in the end of the day are better than the fancy adult collector ones; they're cheaper, more durable and fun!
I remember zoids being REALLY FRIGGIN TOUGH plastic, is that still the case?
Yep!
Very happy to see the classic Tomy line get some love, even if it was by accident on this channel! I grew up with these kits as a child, so Zoids mean much more to me than Gunpla over the course of my life.

i still have the fuzors version of this kit. love it but you gotta remember to remove the batteries lol.
Ohh yeah, I remember leaving the batteries in my childhood Death Stinger for over a decade- when I opened it up in 2016, man I gotta say it was a *lot* of work to clean out the explosion inside the chamber XD
CISsuperdroid is its intestine ok? IS THE PILOT OK?
Oh yeah, it's all good lol- just the corroded battery junk was isolated to the Shock Cannon itself!
CISsuperdroid is the pilot ok? Also i thought of a solution if this happens again deconstruct the kit and grab the affected parts and wash those Obviously. Dry them and put it back together😝
this one is far more stable than the HMM one, my HMM fuherer just slumps down, the joints are kinda trash which I've come to expect from koto kits.
The HMM have more style I'm my opinion. I have an Iron Kong that basically commands all attention on the shelf
Paint it and you will see that is not the case.
I have the same kit myself but mine has some pretty stable joints. There are even some joints that are too tight and I had to file some pegs just so I don't risk breaking it when I move it around. The only sloppy joint I have is at the base of the tail but it can still hold some poses as long as the tail isn't weighted.
@@JadeMythriil yeah some joints are really tight and I even fixed the tail issue and it's a fantastic kit since painted
don't mind to have the berserk fuhrer as long as you build it senpai.. :)
Looking forward to the hmm review man! this is in 2001?
this good?
Oghum Inf it looks beautiful on display! However its not much of a kit to pose and play with :)
Tomy kits are for kids, Kotobukiya kits are for adult collectors.
Not really. Most adults today still collect Tomy Zoids. Tomy Zoids are hard to find nowadays, even rarer than some Transformer toys.
Joeie Rivera They were and still kids toys-_-'...they have value because of nostalgia, hence people played with them as KIDS.
GunPla too.
Joeie Rivera HG and older kits.
אנונימית אנונימי agreed.ihave a number if Tomy zoids and they are fine to mess with and I have 2 of the hmm kits which are NOT to be played with.
Step 1 : buy this kit
Step 2 : but a gunpla
Step 3 : modifiy blade armetures to fit on its back
Step 4 : profit.
God, that would be BADASS.
is there a gundams combined with zoids
DamashixGunpla DamashixGunpla There's no crossover of Zoids and Gundams, except in SRW games.
Gaia Gundam..not combined tho but a transforming one
You should do a trash to treasure with this kit. after you finish the Tristan, of course.
Mak Gohae It's not trash, it's a vintage motorized kids toy, you ignorant.
Great review brother!!! This really brought back some fond memories. I may actually have to hunt down some of these old kits and I look forward to the new one's as well as the anime. BTW how long did it take you to build this Nazi Death Machine?
NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN!!!!!!!
Looks like a kids toy and not a fighting robot this zoid is like a wild horse and the ligeris the same not just anyone can fight in them because they picky lol
HellStingOzUnit Zoids are kids toyline....
My brother built the Iron Kong and that thing was impressive (back then). Although it’s not Kong I’d give this to him as a gift for nostalgia.
