Lisa del Giocondo is the woman widely believed to be painted in the Mona Lisa portrait in 1500s. There are no records of her playing guitar or music of any kind but By all accounts she was a loving faithful wife and described as having a “noble spirit”. This combined with a seemingly flippant expression of disinterest in appearing for the portrait displays her with a punk rock spirit. Therefore I think it’s safe to assume that Mona Lisa did in fact Rock
Trogly also made a video on the SG as well 😂 am I the only one who absolutely loves the vibe of that SG and just the beautiful disaster that is the headstock repair! I definitely would not want to play it but I'd love to theoretically own it! 😂
Pelham (pronounced Pell-hum) blue appears to turn green over time because the nitro turns yellow, so it makes the blue appear green. If there was no nitro finish, it would be blue underneath, the light passes through the yellow finish and the colors appear to mix.
I created the Gibson ATG-82 as a college project in 2002. It was pretty much exactly what Gibson ended up created. Could’ve told you then automatic tuning guitars were not the future lol.
When you were talking about the robot tuners, you should have spliced in the vid of Music is Win where he put a set on his LP jr and it snapped the head stock.
Oh my god that SG. "Don't worry son, I'll fix your broken guitar!" "Gee, thanks Dad!" (Some time later...) "There ya go, son, that'll never break again!" Son... 😳🥺😭
It's our SG. 😂 If it tells you anything about how rare Pelham Blue really is, it's that not a single RUclipsr knows how it ages to green as the clear coat yellows. In all seriousness, thanks for featuring us, this one has become famous over the last week.
The repairs on the Frankenstein guitar made me think of another totally not guitar but bike related and they have a segment called “hack/bodge” where they look at repairs and other diy solutions. Probably also an interesting one for guitar/music related stuff
P.S. that SG as pictured would barely be worth $3,0000 if it DIDNT have the headstock "repair" I am also quite confident you could probably do a proper restoration, but asking price is out to lunch
Pelham Blue does turn green over time. Pretty obvious when thought about, but nitro clear coat yellows in sunlight or in a smoky environment. Put a yellow "filter" over blue and...bingo. This is what Gibson/Epi is mimicking in their "Inverness Green" guitars. Inverness Green is just aged Pelham Blue. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing. Love it.
That EMI TG is in fact ridiculous not on the price but on the fact that this is listed on reverb not a sutherbys auction or something brokered with another big auction house.
LOL It's funny you mention insuring that Abby Road console because a few months ago, the company I work for recently had a $2m-3m shipment of networking equipment sent out, and FedEx wouldn't insure the whole thing, They covered it to a certain point. Sorry I don't have all the details but I had the conversation about it this week, so I thought it was funny to see someone else mention a $2m+ shipping scenario.
I remember when the robot LP came out, thinking it was a super cool idea, that was very poorly executed. The concept of being able to play all sorts of one-off tuned songs with one guitar signs like a dream. This was proof that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Right after seeing the news on the fake Les Pauls that were seized, i opened the used section website of my local GC and there are two $6k Gibson Les Pauls newly listed... lol
Mona Lisa did rock. There's a reason that Leonardo carried that painting with him everywhere he went. But on the Mona Lisa guitar I think the "Jesus" on the side is actually supposed to be from Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" - I don't know how that's supposed to fit into the da Vinci motif though; unless the motif is actually Florentine artists from the late 1400s. No Rosso Fiorentino though? Even van Halen used a meme of the "Cherub with the Lute" smoking cigarettes.
I wonder if the "ridiculous" aspect of the audio console was because of the terms and conditions in the listing? (for example, $3M not being the actual price, but it being a "closed auction" that would end "at a time of seller's choosing".)
Someone is trying to shift a Gallien Krueger 250ml on there for £1700 because it belonged to Gary Moore. They usually go for around 300 - 400. I found the old auction page for the estate sale when he died and the person who's selling it bought it for £790 2 years ago. People really do live in a fantasy world.
I think the point of the les paul is that., mona lisa eyes always follow you, and then you have the security cameras and the all seeing eye on the guitar also
For $3,000,000 you’re setting it up for a full demo over discord or another video call service BEFORE I sign the dotted line. We’re going to be very familiar before it gets here after spending however long I feel necessary ensuring it works.
i personally don’t think the tony perry esp is ridiculous. ptv is one of my favorite bands ever, and, while i definitely couldn’t afford/justify it, i’d love to have it
I think the pistol face bass was made in year 1 , i may be wrong but i am pretty sure it was built in year 1 , yes definitely year 1 . This goes to show someone’s garbage is truly someone garbage!!
Why does the Mona Lisa have security cameras painted on it seems like someone was trying to make more of a statement than “I’m really into the Mona Lisa “
Looking forward to when those $10,000 Trump AliExpress guitars start appearing on Reverb for even more insane prices.
Only to plummet a week later.
@@sandeman1776 You know it 😆
@@sandeman1776it’s not a Harris guitar.
@leedouglass9636 which would be perpetually out of tune, but come in a beautiful Willie Brown finish.

The most punk rock thing about her is she’s got no eyebrows. channelling her inner Ziggy Stardust
That bass is in nobody's cart and is predicted not to sell soon
I was eating breakfast when I saw the photo of the SG headstock and almost choked on my Cheerios ! Neck dive for sure !
I think its more of neck plummet rather than dive! 😂
Trogly also made a video on the SG as well 😂 am I the only one who absolutely loves the vibe of that SG and just the beautiful disaster that is the headstock repair! I definitely would not want to play it but I'd love to theoretically own it! 😂
Feel like copy and paste from Trogly video? I really dont like it!
Pimp My SG - "yo dog...I heard you like neck dive so we added some dive on your dive for FULL DIVE! 🤣
The sheer BALLS to ask 5k for that sg😂😂
If it was $500 it might be a cool for a restoration project. They must have doing some seriously strong smelling salts to come up with that price tag.
I understand the Mona Lisa having other Da Vinci nods like the skeleton arm and Vitruvian Man. But WTF is up with the security cameras?
I think it might be a nod to the “The Da Vinci Code”, the Dan Brown novel about conspiracies and the illuminati.
@Chris_Lohmann Never read, or watched the movies so didn't really make that connection.
This is probably the best RRL in a while. There's a balance of weird, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?, and "Oh...OH...Holy Shit that's awesome!"
1:42 fun fact: she invented the electric guitar.

Love that the listing of the SG says: Used - Fair.
In what universe is that thing in fair condition?
The fretless looks like the bass you get when you beat a boblikin in Zelda
I think the first guitar is a tribute to Leonardo Da Vinci.
why are there security cameras in the painting of the Mona Lisa guitar?
Tyler Larsen put one on a lp junior and it cracked the neck at headstock.
6:50 that guitar has become kind of internet famous for the repair job......it is all over facebook and reddit, someone will buy it.
I haven't got to it yet, but I know which one it is now you've said that
I love that SG. The audacity.

The Phanum SG has a LOT of mojo, but paying $5k for her is a deff Hell to the NO. I'll pay top $200 knowing the pickups it has.
It's our SG. 😂

nice headstock repair, or is that factory too lol

Mona Lisa would paint herself in goat's blood on every evening of the third Sabbath which bore a full moon.
That Abbey Road EMI is literally a piece of history wow.

Good morning Fluff! Great show!
That poor SG. What a travesty
Fluff, on the next RRL you have to include the $20,000 Blue Face VH4 Adam Jones reissue that's listed on there right now! It's truly ridiculous!
Pelham Blue does turn green over time. Pretty obvious when thought about, but nitro clear coat yellows in sunlight or in a smoky environment. Put a yellow "filter" over blue and...bingo. The Abby Road console is ridiculous! Ridiculously COOL!!!
"We have Rick Toone at home"
Rick Toone at home: 4:02
Accurate.
She may not have rocked but with that smile you know she rolled.
Man, that SG *really* took you out 😅 I think that might be the wildest RRL in the history of this show
That EMI TG is in fact ridiculous not on the price but on the fact that this is listed on reverb not a sutherbys auction or something brokered with another big auction house.
Crazy !!! Can make this sh@t up!!
Absolutely love this channel!!
Mona Lisa totally rocked, so I have heard ..lol
Yo imagine buying a used robot guitar in 2024 😂😂. Or even buying a new one back then. So crazy.
The SG takes the cake!
14:15 Collide With The Sky is the name of the record
Greatest PTV record, by the way
That Mona Lisa LP, they took an already extremely overpriced guitar, ruined it then charge an even more ridiculous price😂😂😂
That SG even had four Grover tuners and two different ones. It's definitely a vibe, just not mine or yours.
"Wanna beer " "sure" "what's this old mixer" "The Beatles used this one, 3 million dollars" "you gonna hook it up?"" What do you think.
The Machine Gun Totting Pig Decal wearing a Mini Top Hat in Diapers on headstock of SG was Priceless
Your reaction to the SG is priceless!

The Trogly Video of this one is pretty good
I remember Trogly looking at that SG lol!
"They BRED!" 😂 Fuck me! That was funny.
The Latin phrase on the Mona Lisa Les Paul's banner translates to 'virtue adorns beauty'.
The headstock break on the SG is barely noticeable. Why is everyone laughing?
That SG would be the most expensive piece of firewood I have bought in a long time...
I saw that SG a few days ago, can't believe they aren't even taking offers for it. No way it's selling for $5k, it's worth considerably less
Right after seeing the news on the fake Les Pauls that were seized, i opened the used section website of my local GC and there are two $6k Gibson Les Pauls newly listed... lol
Thanks for the video.

The SG is a Frankenstein because it has bolts in its neck 😉
Because nitro lacquer ages with a yellow hue, when it's combined with blue, you get green.
Someone is trying to shift a Gallien Krueger 250ml on there for £1700 because it belonged to Gary Moore. They usually go for around 300 - 400. My biggest piss is sellers of used items using ONLY stock photos from the item's website.

Last one -- Whoever gets that PTV guitar should find out who did the repair on that SG. If they want it fixed right, I mean.
I lost it at the Pistol-Fish bass. What the hell am I looking at? Why does that exist?
i personally don’t think the tony perry esp is ridiculous. ptv is one of my favorite bands ever, and, while i definitely couldn’t afford/justify it, i’d love to have it
Oh shit Tulsa! Nice
The robot guitar is different you are talking about the newer headstock tuners.
reverb is just nuts anymore. There are so many guitars that are just sitting there for 6, 8, 10 months that dont sell because of the price.
If I had 3 million bucks to spare, I would definitely not be looking up stuff on Reverb.
Think that SG might neck dive much? 😂
Mona Lisa was an animal. She would rock your world.
"This belongs in a Museum"
Real Pelham blue fades to green overtime.
The newer Gibsons probably won't do that.
Just having the P90s on the SG changed to HB routes would put it less than $2,000.
I think the pistol face bass was made in year 1 , i may be wrong but i am pretty sure it was built in year 1 , yes definitely year 1 .
This goes to show someone’s garbage is truly someone garbage!!
Nobody wrapped a guitar with the Gioconda, already?! I don't know. Namastè.
If Mona lisa was a custom shop made for a reason on a better guitar, I get it. I wouldn't want it. But it makes some sense.
That second offering legit who. Is. It. For.
that monstrosity of an SG the tuners don't even match LMAO
That SG went through some poor punk bands in the past.
Mona Lisa Rocked!
Let's not forget Gibson running a steamroller over hundreds of thousands of Dollars worth of high end guitars bringing this era to end!
You forgot to mention that the Robot tuners usually didn’t work after a month.
There's actually a real reversed image of an alien with the Mona lisa
Why does the Mona Lisa have security cameras painted on it seems like someone was trying to make more of a statement than “I’m really into the Mona Lisa “
Twoodfrd is getting sloppy with his neck repairs.
Mona Lisa didn't rock. She was a poser...
I'll see myself out.
Didn’t Henry conveniently also own/run the company that made the robot tuners?
He double dipped with a soggy chip 🫤
look like home made painting ; but i find it s good looking
That wasn't a 65 sg it was a norlin probably around late seventies early eighties
Even when Nat King Cole sung "Mona Lisa"it didn't rock. But he still had a fantastic voice. These "picture" guitars are gross, all of them.
8:20 imagine the neck dive lol
Mona Lisa totally rocked and I am totally not a historian
I'm a bassist and that Fish bass is horrendous. P or Jazz is good enough for any bassist.
If that was a world class Mona Lisa copy maybe, but that thing is 1st year art student amateur hour quality.
Few know Mona Lisa rocked a mullet
