Agreed. He's the reason people shy away from radio. What if someone brought their family out? He's drunk, embarrassing, or both, and I hope he reads these comments.
I’m surprised that there’s so many people on this channel that have no idea what a shootout is… but I do agree the loud mouths on the sidelines is another reason I got out of radio. And also why I don’t do grudge racing with my car. Same type of people that talk a bunch of shit but dont even have a car.
The watts are always impressive but I think the antenna set ups these guy's run is even more so. I mean, just looking at things, I wouldn't think there'd be any great deal of directional gain, at least from a theoretical perspective. But, apparently there must be. I think that's pretty damn fascinating. Thanks for sharing the experience! 🙂
Two guys competing with their Mobile Radio setups to see who can push the other guy out of a listening stations receive.. with a bunch of trash talking a ton of side bedding it's a big deal when it happens
@BoxBuilderIdaho Ok got it. So the engines revving is just to get the alternators spinning up. We never had anything like this in the UK. Some of the 'monster' mobile stations ran 400W lol
So 125,000 watts each roughly. That's crazy amounts of power. Cool hobby. But I'm confused then y I've heard some people run nitrous. Is my math totally wrong? 125,000/746 = 167 hp. Can't get that pretty easily through most stock v8 engines can't u
Good job BBI. Hope you’re enjoying your trip around the world Sounds like fun I’ve been catching your videos when I have a chance,, Thanks for posting keep it up,,, I’ve never been to one of these shootouts before, but I can just imagine how caught up in it people can get😳 Specially, the loudmouth guy,,lol He probably knows he’s going to be on RUclips, so he was being extra loud. He wanted everybody to remember him….. And so we will, even though we don’t know his name.😂. My antenna is still on the ground So far three months On the ground Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr But when I do get that 62 foot long antenna up in the air, it’s gonna be awesome. Probably looking at three more weeks And then (Wrong Way) Might make the trip somewhere and be heard with his little baby two pill. 😳😳 What? 😳 Yeah, I said it…2Pills. Have a good one BB
What a time to be alive. I try to tell my wife that my 4 pill is chump change pennies compared to others. She dont agree, neitner does my wallet haha. I feel like those guys every time I keydown though! 127, Ole Kaydo bottom of the KY 👋
No different than drag racing a car. Who is faster, who has more HP. This is who can be heard by the receiving radio. More directed energy to the receiving radio is the only one who will be heard
Congratulations to both 55 and 955 you both are kings in my book!!! 10-8 and 2 of the most knowledgeable techs to ever step foot on the line not many can do what y’all do… godbless you both and happy birthday 955
Here's my takeaway. This was a tremendously expensive contest to see who had the most powerful rig. Somebody won but I don't know who or what they won, and there was a ratchet jaw screaming and cussin like he just lost 50K at the Kentucky Derby.
Yeah, I dont exactly get it??? Obviously the car that csn generate the most RF energy on 27 mHz wins?!? All the bystanders have wagers on who will win. But how do they measure or quantify the winner? What are the exact parameter? Are there any special rules? Like do they have to exceed a certain spectral purity or do are they judged also by how wide a signal they can generate or wipe out the whole band? Do they both transmit at the same time and try to walk over each other? 250KW between both vehicles? Is that ERP ? How far away have these stations been logged as being heard? I would like to know when the event happens, so I can try and tune in.... What do they mean when they were saying something about relay? So the guy in the station wagon win? Please someone answer these questions!
There is a listening station that is usually set up anywhere from 5 to 30 Miles down the road. The audio signal is recorded whoever is the most dominant with their audio .. wins.. basically drag car racing but with RF
“relay, relay, relay” is what the winner was saying into the microphone, throughout the key…. Others say, “1 1 1 1” , 55555, and so on. Simple. Both were only running 4 watts of power. It was all an April Fools’ Joke.
Can i be silly and Ask' where is the radial ground under these aerials, for distance im not being rude saying this..im just wondering..😮 HELL LOTA WATTS THERE ! .its becoming a rich mans hobby..
Hello Fellow Amphaulics And Supporters Of The World Renowned BBI AMPS: Well sports fans we have something new today. Since BBI is on a business trip down south he happened upon a little shoot out. As you can see it became rather intense. Luke be safe on the road and please watch your back. Happy Eastet all, TMP, Unit 22 from N.J.
Who is that big mouth dude using all the foul language... he's certainly a embarrassment 😞

That, my friends, is what we call a ni.....
There's one in every crowd...

I'm Assuming these antennas have a phasing harness on them. In which case they could have some pretty significant gain.
Oh, they’re directional. Tried, proven, tested…over decades.
It must be an American thing. I watched the whole video and I haven't got a clue about what was going on 😂😂
Hahahaha it's about boy's and their toys in a sense 😁

@@BoxBuilderIdaho Thank you for the explanation....makes sense! Those trash talking extra loud pecker woods remind me of the folks in my city 901

Wish the loud mouth guy was muted. 250k watts b/t the two is nuts! 😲
Yeah right... you know they say a empty wagon makes the most noise 🙄
🤣🤣
12 amp pull at 12000 volts.Possibly you can figure that
Mr BBI, When will you be here in sunny FL.?
Would love to see you when you get here 😂😂

Just Why? All the giant A$$ antennas for what?
I'm confused 😕 what is this? Who can put out more power? For what reason? lol
For more gain as power is focused in mostly 1 direction.
No different than drag racing a car. Who is faster, who has more HP.

125kw+
@@electromechanicalstuff2602 ok how much do you need to put in as input w?
How do they determine who wins?
Listening station that records.

Surprised some one went to the line with 55.😊
Kicking ass❤
So how is the winner decided, got someone 50 miles away reporting who they heard?
Just amazing!
