As long as you have a political parties who is stupid enough to believe that they can get votes on promises, scare tactics and no action they will lose the vote eventually. ANC are losing their voters because of this. DA is not far behind. DA wants to claim Gauteng for themselves and instead of delivering services to the poor so people can look upon them favourably, they ignore the poor areas like Hamnanskraal and is surprised why people don't vote for them. How can you convince the poor your are better than the ANC, when you yourself are treating the poor areas in the same way. DA behaves same way in the Cape. Whites do not go to the Non white areas to see the decay there. DA thinks all it has to do is say the poor is better off in WC than other provinces and that makes it okay. They forget most people of the WC has never lived or been to other provinces to experience the difference. If I am going to be honest, the National Party did a better job for people of WC than the DA. I don't blame people for trying to see if someone else can do better because the DA is just using their votes so they can deliver good services to the affluent areas. DA talks about creating jobs, yet a lot of local people are unemployment. You wonder who these jobs are created for.
It blows my mind how bad the DA is at politics, they are fairly good at actually administrating their province however.

Gayton MacKenzie is too risky to vote for. I don't like the way he has operated in Gauteng. He keeps on siding with the Anc /EFF faction who are unbelievably corrupt. The result here is disastrous.

I agree, but the way the DA are treating him is giving him more appeal. Sometimes you have to make an agreement with untrustworthy people. If the DA loses the Cape it will be a disaster.

This has nothing to do with McKenzie, most Coloured people don't trust him either, it is about the people looking for something else because the DA has failed to deliver. People want employment, jobs people had in hospitality, etc are being given to foreigners and DA defends that nonsense. How different is the DA for Non white voters. DA will never get the masses to vote for them because they just do not do enough for the poor areas, they more concerned about their base voters.
I hope the DA is watching and that it is a wakeup call for them.
I fear that their arrogance will be their downfall and will result in the downfall of our country. Any political party concerned about their supporters views would have someone senior reading and listening to these podcasts. I suspect that no one in the DA could be bothered. If they don't wake up soon, they will lose the W Cape, and if that happens, they will be finished.
@@nielwilliams4687 the best thing that can happen for white people, but not necessarily for black people, is the fall of the DA as we view it and its supporters as the last bastions of apartheid. The ANC is still in power today despite dismal failures because we fear the return of apartheid more than an incompetent and corrupt government. My hope is the people will see it fit to give the EFF a go at it.

I get worried when people sing for the ANC.
In Physics, specifically in the study of Thermodynamics, we say that 'the arrow of time moves in the direction of disorder.' This is the Second Law. Apply it to the future of this country's politics and you see that this future isn't anything special. It is a simple natural progression that shouldn't throw us into panic.
Always well-reasoned from FC but I am not buying the Gayton love - man is a total charlatan and sells voters straight back to the ANC every chance he gets. NINE ANC-coalitions and counting. He has achieved nothing beyond the shallow/ cosmetic and if voters are as savvy as FC suggests they will see his grift clearly and he won't climb above the 0.04% share of the national vote he currently enjoys at some gullible peoples' expense.
If people are turning to Gayton McKenzie, it is a reflection of how bad the DA has let people down.

I agree with Frans a big chunk of the coloured rural vote and urban Cape flats vote will go to the PA.The DAs majority in the western cape is not a given.
Coloured people will go for Gayton because DA only cares about its White voter base.. If it was about identity politics then people would have voted long time ago for Cape Coloured Congress, but they did not. GM is seen as someone who will rattle the DA to pay attention to other communities and not only to White communities. GM is clever enough to know a coalition with the ANC is the WC will lose him votes next time round. We need a PA to make the DA work for everyone.

SA needs a totally different government. The entire population is tired of the theft corruption crime non service delivery. The so called bbeee is a joke. All they are is middlemen. Dr Cronje...wishful thinking that there will be an election. When an incumbent ANC realise they will lose some reason will be given or instigated to announce a state of emergency and delay the election. Furthermore the white, colored and indian populations have such low voter turnout. If I were really serious about the future I would run campaigns on and in all media just to get voters to register and vote. Most people do not even know how the parliamentary system works in SA.
Only people over 60 with R3bar in the bank and no bond think this country is still a country let alone a thing that can be fixed. I could care less what the majority of people in this place think or do. Time to balkanize.
