I used to take my guitar out & sit under a tree & sing all night to the Lord. That was 1977-1980. Then I started college. I was spirit-filled & took my guitar to the streets & led ppl to the Lord. Then the Lord sent me to the Caribbean where I worked & played the guitar on the beaches. Then Bible school & many, many mission trips. I married & had 2 kids & pastored & went street witnessing. I no longer wanted to play & I put the guitar away for a long time. My husband even bought me a nice guitar which sat in a nice closet. I no longer sang. Finally, the Lord said to pick that guitar up & play. But I said, "Lord, I am tired of my songs & my voice. Surely You must be tired of it, too!" But He said play. So I want to thank you for these tutorials. It has breathed life back into my desire to play for Him again. I am 54 years old. My style is old. It is time to learn some new things. Thank you for your help. God is renewing my heart & my youth through picking this up. Blessings, KAREN

I guess the strumming pattern for Em is D - top 2, D -top 2,D - top 2,D - bottom 4,D - top 2,D - top 2,D - bottom 4, D - bottom 4. Adapt to other chords.

Hi. I'm a complete beginner and I've actually been practicing for 2 weeks now. Your video setup is very easy to follow so it's extremely helpful for a beginner like myself. As a beginner I'm going to ask a elementary question - what is that C chord called? I'm use to the regular C (x32010).
It's C-add9. It's sometimes wrongly referred to as C2

7:32 quick question so you know how you said think of your hitting the cord 8x but the first time you don’t hit it doesn’t that mean to hit 7x and change note and again 7x?
