I wish they would! They're missing out on A LOT of revenue in that regard. I was talking to a 3D artist not too long ago where I mentioned it's a niche that isn't covered by a company, so it's open for a lot of collectors who would like them. Hot Toys should consider packs where they include crates, Death Star walls, wider diorama bases and fodder by way of bounty pucks etc... We can only wish.
I collect troopers, and even though I have the original one, jumped on the bandwagon for this one. But I can see why many people might pass on this one. It helped that I got it for $232, no tax, free shipping. Not sure if I will use the diorama (even though it looks cool); none of my other troopers are on a diorama, so it might look odd.
Well, I pulled trigger on getting 2. I am the opposite as I dont collect a lot of clones but do appreciate all that they come with. These for me would look amazing with Vader, or the chrome stormtrooper trooper as team leader, or even the new dark empire Luke. So many combinations to pair with I couldn’t pass. I also feel these troopers are more menacing than the standard white - yeah kinda deaths/dark trooper vibes.
Congrats! Especially since they're already released over in Hong Kong. Hopefully they don't take as long as Catwoman, Batman, Vader, etc. These would look awesome with Dark Empire Luke, I agree! they'll come in handy if you preordered him as well. I wish I had the space, because I think I'd jump on them. Maybe... kind of... 😅

I really like this figure. I would like to buy 2 of them but realistically I would only be able to buy 1 which I will display with my Death Troopers. I’ll probably have to use my rewards dollars from previous purchases to help pay for this.
One could look good to lead them, or a batch of standard storm troopers if you have them. I just hate to have 1 and not a pair. It does something to me. 😭

I’m on the fence with this one. I feel like I’m leaning towards picking it up because I have death trooper FOMO, so maybe for that reason I shouldn’t. I do have the regular stormtrooper preordered however as that is more of a brick and mortar trooper to backdrop Vader
If it's FOMO, definitely hang tight. I FOMO'd Bespin Luke and it's been a major regret of mine. Great looking figure, but not for my collection. Stand strong! I'm sure more Death Troopers are on the way at some point. The Specialists were originally the ones I wanted, but could never find.

I’m only buying this shadow trooper for the Pauldron, I’m stripping this figure from his pauldron and ammo pouches 🤣🤣🤣 since I couldn’t get the Jedha patrol two pack, now the ROTJ stormtrooper I’m feeling tempted to pre order a second one and back to the shadow trooper even though it’s got the badass name I don’t see them as badass as a death trooper or a purge trooper and the reason I think this way of this variant is cause of their really bad aim at shooting 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Do you think Hot Toys will ever do a diorama pack completely separate? Maybe some accessories and a few bases that are Star Wars themed?

Me last year. This year is a lot different though, and the Ahsoka series is already a money pit. I wish I could be disappointed. 😔
