I have a mobula7 elrs (great quad) and I've started doing some acro flying indoors but the stock rates feel pretty touchy for such a tiny quad in a tighter space. I have to use such small stick input for flying around. I've played with the rates in bf but I'm curious to know what rates you fly for that kind of flying?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  Год назад

Rates are very touchy to find. I use higher rates and have for many years. ruclips.net/video/llpHcWQx8q8/видео.html If they feel to sensitive maybe try pinching if your thumbing or if your pinching try thumbing. Then lower the rates if they are still to touchy. We have to keep trying new rates until we find what works for us. One tip if you find your "nose" control lags, flying slightly diagonal sometimes, use a yaw rate that is higher than pitch and roll. I do and it helps me keep the nose/camera headed in the direction of flight.

@@NickBurnsFPV yeah, i took it off.
      HDzero goggles + analog module + walksnail vrx + 5 antennas = 580gr
      For reference:
walksnail goggles with all antennas- 341gr
hdo goggles with analog module and two antennas- 270gr
      skyzone 04x goggles with 2 antennas- 334gr
hdzero goggles with two antennas and analog expansion - 450gr
walknsnail vrx module (4 antennas)- 95gr
sharkbyte vrx module (2 antennas)- 75gr
There is a 30% increase in weight compared to a normal analog pair of goggles with the sharkbyte vrx or a walksnail pair of goggles.
In addition, the weight is placed way in the front and the base touching the face is not that thick, this leverage increases the pressure felt on the face due to a narrower area.
There are numerous ways around it, easiest being to take the antennas off. Taking the modules off doesn t seem to be a viable solution as the analog module has a screw in it to keep it from popping off. Also, the walksnail will have to be mounted on the rails with double sticky tape, taking it off and on would increase the risk of damaging something and create waste. Another option could be to mount the walksnail vrx on top of the goggles, facing upt, this will reduce leverage. A 3rd strap could also be a good option.
On stock form they are even heavier than the dji v2's and it s worth mentioning that the dji has a wider base which distributes the load better.
Good thing is that most of the people didn t even noticed it or don t care.
On the build quality, they are good, better than fatshark, not as good as skyzones 04x, walksnail, dji.
Menu, optics, user interface are great, the heavy weight makes them feel premium.
Odd enough, you have a much better image on the hdzero goggles compared to a pair of skyzone 04x with a sharkbyte module (on the same drone setup), i would say this doesn t happen because of the quality of the oled screens, these seem to be pretty consistent across different brands.
This is are my trully unbiased first thoughts after i used the goggles for a few days.
I have seen some comments about the weight from real users but never in a video from the fpv "reviewers".
      All the best!
