Do you have any comment about the accuracy of inexpensive Solar panel testers for MPT such as the WS400A PV solar panel tester (Aliexpress or Amazon < $100) for measuring VOC & MPT. I'm doing some panel testing on my now-failing 15-year old SunPower panels and seeing much higher MPT values (with the cheapie tester) than when I measure Voltage and current across a 12 ohm 200W load and calculate the power by P=EI.
I'm not sure but does the tool cover micro invert testing on a whole array? It would seem you would still need to check each panel if you don't have software to plot each panel over the course of the day, week or month. Which is a true way to monitor panels performance.

Another example of not knowing enough information puts anyone in a position of trusting an 'expert' whose motivation needs to be understood. Trust has proven to be extremely variable to knowledge or its lack, and the age old problem of being 'conned' into wishful thinking. There is no free lunch.

+Stephanie-Jayne Maher Should look into getting a cheaply priced Rigol DS1054Z. Probably your best bet for an introductory scope.

Where: Tm = module operating temperature °C
Ta = ambient temperature °C
............According to Pate (1992)
With Avasva plans doing something like that was easy.
I’m currently doing a scientific report for highschool and this is probably too deep lol
